I do a DMR and boltshot combo with frags. I would use either promethean vision or active camo because one of the main aspects of a 1v1 is knowing where your enemy is. PV has an offensive aspect to this while camo has a defensive aspect. It depends on your playstyle. I would have mobility and dextarity because in a 1v1 time is of the essence. Just keeping messing around with options to find what fits your playstyle best.
I agree that complex is not the best map to date. There are very bad respawns and the majority of the game is centered around the large open area spawns and DMR battles with barely any line of sight blockers. The ability to access the roofs was a risky move on the maps development where they were wishing to give players more free roam. However I think it has just caused to much map concentration. I kind of wish that there would be lass open space and the buildings would be closer so that the map movement would be more centered around the courtyard and main building.
A repick could lead to sitting in the lobby forever. I think this is a good idea. I keep seeing my favorite maps on the far right and I never get them.

I remember joining this site back in march and hearing about this amazing halo player that was on this forum. I think I told myself that I was going to be that good someday. Maybe when I am older.. but you've got talent man. I will never forget the day where my brother got spanked 20-0 in a DGL game. At least my neighbor got a kill on you the next game. I will have to take you on sometime
I have to say I was surprised you came back to here. I thought you would not like any of us anymore. But after seeing you now I am glad you are back. I can now see how hard it would be to leave this place.
As you have said this is going to be a good new start. I am not sure how much to trust you yet. I believe you have changed. The past is behind us now and we can work on making this site the amazing place it is.

I think there should be a budget to make sure the map will work. However I do not like how there are only so many available for a certain item. Sometimes I want to use a lot of building blocks and it just won't work with the item limit.
There could probably be a good way to balance it. Maybe a 5 second required visual and you have to be looking at them. Then after 3 seconds of not seeing them the marker dissapears.
It would be cool to have this with automatic weapons as well. The DMR would be hard to make a burst fire and it would be hard to make the BR a semi auto. It would either have to be taking out the two and inserting the hybrid or just leaving it the same. But I like this idea of a hybrid since people would not complain.
Invasion was a great gametype for linear style forgers who did not feel like making a linear infection map. I think invasion is much more fun then dominion. It is more of a super CTF then a super KOTH. I hope it returns along with some forge maps that are a bit bigger so they are easy to build.
