I do hope that thinking logically dig wasn't towards me, because I've been more logical about it than anybody else in this entire thread, Including you. Without them saying they will or will not be in custom games/forge, you shouldn't keep insisting that they will be. It's not logical. It's hoping, dreaming, wishing. None of which is logical thinking. "No visor, no HUD, not included" is an illogical argument. "They'll still be playable in customs/forge" is an illogical statement. The only thing that's been said about elites is that they will not be in matchmaking, and that there is a possibility for an "Elite Ops". I like you, Fal, but you can be a bit overbearing at times and need to relax some. No reason to get into it with people just because their opinions differ from yours.

I have to agree with theorix. At this point, we're all hoping that the game is going to be awesome (me included). But we don't know for certain that it will be, and until we either ( a ) get to play the game or ( b ) at the very least see more multiplayer footage, we cannot possibly begin to determine how good the game is going to be. I hope it's good enough to get GOTY, but I'm holding my breath until I actually get to play the game.

You hope that they'll be playable in custom games and forge. It's never been stated that they will or will not. It's still a question that needs answering. I hope that they are playable in at least customs and forge, but until I see somebody from 343 say that they are, well I'm not gonna get excited about it. I don't have any personal feelings towards their inclusion or exclusion. I don't see why they shouldn't be playable in customs and forge, but I won't be terribly upset if they're not.

Bungie file share is down. 343 hasn't gotten theirs up and running on a website yet, that won't be until June I believe, but your fileshare still exists. Save it in your file share in Reach, then let us know the map name and your gamer tag, and we can do a custom search while in Reach to find the map. Unfortunately the instructions here haven't been updated since Bungie stopped dealing with Halo stuff.

But winning and losing doesn't show the whole picture, just like K/D doesn't show the whole picture. I could be terrible, my friends awesome. I only play with my friends, so we win a lot, and I rank up even if I do terrible? That's no good. It needs to be based on more than just wins/loses, though those should play a major role in ranking up.

Are you actually getting an error, or will it just not recognize that a disc is in the machine?

My understanding of the "random" weapon drops isn't that they are as "random" as people are making them out to be. From what I understood, the locations of the spawns are going to become pretty apparent after playing a few games, it's just not always going to spawn the same weapon. First it may drop you a rocket launcher. In 180 seconds it may next give you a shotgun. 140 seconds from then, it may give you another Rocket Launcher. Etc. So timing may be random, weapons may be random, locations may not be as "random" as people are thinking.

Seriously? You're going to complain about forge world? For what reason? Tell me why it was a bad idea. Explain to me your logic here, because I really want to know. To the OP, yes, bringing back Sandtrap (or a version of it) and Forge World (hopefully with more usable space) would be the way to go. But they can't make more than 50% of the on-disc maps be from Forge World. That would be bad.

Let's do some math, shall we? Assuming we're living in the US, the brand new game on its own is $59.99. So then you add in access to 9 additional maps, in 3 map packs with 3 maps each. They usually average what, $10 a piece, so $30 dollars. Now we're already at $89.99. Then you get access to 6 specific specializations in the game, another armor skin, a new skin for the Assault Rifle, a complete set of Spartan IV armor for your avatar, plus a prop. Prop's generally average 80 MS points, so $1. Armor such as this is generally what, 240 MS Points? So $3. With those two items now included, we're at $93.99. Now we look at the Forward Unto Dawn Extended Edition (90 minutes) live action series (presumably on a DVD). How much does a new DVD cost? We'll be conservative here. Red vs. Blue Season 1 remastered is $15.99 on Amazon. So even if I go that route, and say it's $15.99, we're already over the $99.99 mark. I could go as low as $6, and we'd hit the price tag. Have you ever bought a brand spanking new DVD that's just being released for $6? So now we're over the mark, or at it, depending on what price tag you want to give the live action series. You want your fluff? Well, we have the UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet for you as well, giving you insight onto the largest ship in humanity's fleet, plus some info on the different UNSC weapons, and more info on what it's like being a Spartan IV. So I think the price tag is warrented, based on all of the stuff they're giving us. They could have made it more, but they didn't. Be happy with the $99.99 price tag.

Actually this has been discussed, and recently. The ReachStats page here was a port of what Bungie had. When Bungie stopped tracking, this one stopped tracking. We're not the official 343 site, just a Community Forum. To get any new information on your spartan, head on over to the official Halo site, Waypoint (halo.xbox.com), and you'll be able to see everything there. I don't know if Twam has plans for updating this stat tracker (I sure hope so), but until he does, Waypoint is the only way to get up to date information. Hope I helped!

I'm with Viva on every point he's made here. While I agree with the OP that the "Halo 4 is turning into COD" threads need to stop, so do the "Halo 4 is NOT turning into COD" threads. They're both pointless, and nothing good ever comes from them. It always becomes bickering, very few ever develop good conversations and constructive arguments. I'm tired of coming on every morning, just to find another thread like this, or another "343 is ruining (insert whatever you want)" thread. Bah. Bah I say!
