Reach was downloaded, as in you downloaded it off of the marketplace? Does that even have access to the multiplayer side of things?

Yeah, but then how long is the first season? How many weeks/months will it last? How much might the subsequent seasons cost, if they go that route? Those are the real questions. We'll have to wait to see if any more info is released on this.

But we don't have concrete info on the ranked playlist and join in progress features, so keep your fingers crossed for both a ranked playlist and a join in progress for social games only.

Unfortunately, the May update is here, and there is no change to SWAT. I highly doubt anything is going to change, regardless of how many people you can make agree with you. If you only play SWAT, and you want these maps back, you may be out of luck.

But when your connection gives out like that, it does say that they quit, leaving you alone in the game. Do you get all the credits you deserve at the end of said games?

So firstly, this isn't the official 343 forums, we're just the community forums, fans. You want to head on over to halo.xbox.com for the official site. All we can do is give you an idea of why you might have been banned, can't do much else about it. Now, like Bullet said, the system can't distinguish whether you were actually boosting or not, it just looks at the game and decides for itself. Through campaign, it's simple. They look at it as though you manipulated the network to only play by yourself. Same with Firefight, regardless of whether you are or not. Also, you can talk to the people, that's why we have mic's. Now, here's the kicker of this. If they are "quitting" and you are not, are you sure it's not your internet connection crapping out for a split second, causing you to lose your connection? If that's the case, the banhammer sees that as quitting, even though it's just network difficulties. Chances are they are staying online and you are the one dropping out.

While I don't agree that the plasma rifle is a great weapon, I do agree that it is ignored most of the time. Very, very rarely will I see somebody pick one up and use it. To me, it just doesn't seem as effective. Dunno. The plasma pistol on the other hand? Use it to knock out shields, disable vehicles, etc. etc. and it's awesome. I don't underrate it at all. -
Agreed with Ms. Mystic, it works well in certain types of games, but I just don't see it in Halo. Blood? Sure, fine. Dismemberment? Meh. Is it more realistic? Sure, but what about Halo says "realistic"? The fact that we're fighting aliens, or the fact that we have cybernetically enchanched super solders? The way the system works now is fine, and it's not distracting at all. In a game paced like Halo, that's perfect. In Fallout? Sure, dismemberment and gore all the time. There's no competitive aspect to it, unlike Halo. Gears? They have it because, whether they admit it or not, they were shooting for a more immature audiance that enjoys that type of thing. Mortal Kombat was pushing the boundaries when it first came out, just to see if they could. Etc., etc. Keep Halo how it is, a bit of blood. That's all it really needs.

It's in the games in a "fun" playlist, not meant to be taken seriously. If you did the same with this, then fine, but otherwise leave it out of regular matchmaking.

What time frame are we talking here (approximately what years were you watching these)? You're what, 19? So were these fairly new shows when you were growing up, or were they older shows? Do you remember anything else about them?

I dunno, ask Bungie why they made the original CE multiplayer with covenant weaponry with no playable elites to go with it? Seriously, that's a ridiculous argument to make. Why have brute weapons in Halo 3 and Reach if you couldn't play as a brute? Why add Forerunner weapons/technology into Halo 4 if you can't play as a Forerunner? Yes, it says they won't be in multiplayer. No, it doesn't specifically spell out that they will not be in Forge and Custom games. I cross by fingers for all of you Elite fans out there, but don't hold your breath too long.

Like BulletStorm, I didn't vote. I want to see how it will be used before I make my final judgement. Is it only in social games? Do you have an option to join in progress or start a new lobby? All these questions still need to be answered. If they try to implement this inside a ranked playlist (if they even have ranked playlists), then I'll be really ticked off.

Recon rocks. I definitely can't find much fault with it (it's what I use too, as well as most of my friends). But I'm sure if I could customize specific buttons, I'd try and find a way to make it better. -

All the huge bulky armor shows is that you've played the game a lot, and spent the credits on the most expensive stuff. In my opinion, it doesn't look good at all. Huge shoulder pads? No thanks. Give me the ODST shoulders anyday. More realistic looking and would give better actual protection without a loss in mobility, if these items were affected in the least (yes, I know they are not).

YES. I've been wanting a custom controller scheme for years, and I would love to see it happen. There's always that one feature that I want to change its location, but I am never able to. So I resign myself to select the layout closest to what I want, but it's never perfect. If 343 were to do this, they'd have me as a fan for life, even if Halo 4 turns out to be terrible. -
I don't personally think it's the placeholder. If that's the case, then why not show us a placeholder for the sniper rifle as well? That is obviously different than the Reach one. No, chances are that's the actual shotgun we're going to see in Halo 4, and you know what? I don't mind all that much. It looks good.

Wow, tiny text is TINY. So let me try and summarize what the OP is saying. Battlefield 3 is called the "CoD killer". Does the Halo franchise need to worry about this as well? Will BF3 also be known as "the Halo killer"? To answer your question, no. Halo doesn't have to worry about losing itself to BF3. Unlike CoD, Halo is a completely different monster than BF3. My friends refuse to play CoD, but absolutely love BF3 and Halo. Going from personal experiences, they believe CoD is a joke anymore, and that BF3 is a more realistic experience. But they always come back to Halo for having a good, fun, competitive time. I don't believe Halo fans need to worry about BF3 all that much. Heck, aren't there a lot of people on here that enjoy BF3 as well?
