Yeah, the pistol is win, isn't it? And it can be very, very annoying.

Guilty Spark lost all communication with the other installations thousands of years in the past, though. And AC said he exists now. Also, can a gravemind take over an AI, though? Or is it another AI infiltrating? Or something else? Did the gravemind from Halo 3 ever actually take over Cortana, physically, like it appears is happening to AC and its facility?

Starting with your second sentence is exactly the point, though. On a mid-long range map (such as, say, Blood Gultch or the equivilant), anybody who chooses the AR is at a disadvantage. Yes, they made that disadvantage themselves, but they're still there. The point that's constantly made about Halo is that it has always been a balanced game, where every player starts with the same weapons and nobody has an advantage because of weapon choice at the beginning of a game. Do we want to ruin that? If you have the choice at the beginning of the game to choose between an AR/BR/DMR, then what's the purpose of having specific slayer game types such as Slayer DMR's or Slayer BR's? I think that's the point he was making. The game type servers no purpose, because now, instead of allowing the custom loadouts like it's been claimed, you're back to giving specific things. Now, games like Team Swat and Team Snipers, I can understand keeping the way they are. But for regular team slayer games? If you're going to have custom loadouts in such a fashion, then there really is no purpose for specific slayer game types.

Fully agree, Azaxx. Or, better yet (since they're all posted within a minute of one another), why not just finish your thoughts in the original post, without having to edit?

Agreed with Azaxx, 343 should be smart enough to not stray too far from the path of Halo. As for the custom loadouts? I like the concept, I do. My only problem with it, though, is how will it affect balance? If I have the choice between AR/BR/DRM, and everybody has that choice, the weapons better be well balanced with each other, so that no specific person has an advantage because of the choice. That's the problem with loadouts in BF3, and why they shouldn't go that route.

Yes, he does say that. Which, at the time, I assumed was basically where they were collecting all life in the universe to repopulate, and the life workers were the ones to do the repopulating. Hm. Must think more on this.

Nice find adam. I would definitely say you're on to something there. But that leads to the question, what was that facility?
-
Seriously, what spoilers? On a side note, I'm reworking on the audio file, too. See if I can clean it up a bit more. So far have all the static gone, and mostly just what we are presuming to be a voice, but it's unintelligible.

Why is it sending emails to you, Paarthurnax? Where did it get your email? Just curious, is all.
-
Absolutely the pistol/grenade launcher. What we're seeing on the screen in the First Look is shown at 1:10 of the Halo 4 Announcement Trailer.
-
Not a clue on the numbers. Strange. Why the 0's at the beginning?
-
It would appear that way. Hm. Conventus is latin for convened, assembled, having been convened, etc. But, on a side note, when used as a noun, it means agreement, or Covenant.
-
No problem. And Dan, chances are you didn't screw up. The first binary character in each line was cut off from the picture.

With either H3's or Reach's, when you lost your shield, you were still simply 1 shot away from death. Period. Yes, you still had the ability to pick up a health pack, but if you got headshot prior to that, you're dead. Period. And like I said earlier, Reach's was only like that because it was the predecessor to Halo: CE. Halo 2 "upgraded" the Chief's armor and how health worked. Going back to Reach is a step backwards, technologically speaking, in the Halo universe.

So you're Subject Zero, then? And from PA too? Even better. Must go prepare my shotguns... too close. Anyway, welcome!

I actually get the anniversary maps a lot in regular team slayer. It surprises me, really. It seems like every other game they appear as a choice, but that's just me.

A Rational Solution for the Halo "unfair", Booting System?
fzdw11 replied to Iиversiσn's topic in General Discussion
Definitely not 10 betrayals, way to many. As for the idea itself, while plausible, it can still be abused by people who are boot happy. "Didn't betray me? Okay, but you betrayed my other teammate. See ya later!"- 13 replies

This I like. A party slayer/objective playlist and a non-party slayer/objevtive playlist. Great idea. As for the clan battles, never played Halo 2 on live, so I don't know what it was like. Would have loved to, though. Only ever got to play when we had a LAN party.
-
If I want quiet game play, I rarely go and physically mute individual players. Take a moment, turn your audio options to mute all, and it just quiets everybody, without handing out perma-mutes from selecting individual players. I agree that the party up option was a nice feature. Liked it much better than Reach's idea of just staying in a lobby, and maybe being played on the same team with them again.

While I love Reach's health system, and we originally saw it in CE, it was upgraded in Halo 2, stayed that way in Halo 3, and should stay that way in Halo 4. It was an evolution. The only reason it wasn't like Halo 2 or 3 in Reach is because Reach happened before CE. That's why there was a physical, visible, health bar. Going back now would alter how Chief's armor currently works.

But if you buy the game new, you got the online pass with your purchase. It was only $10 if you bought the game used.
