  1. Sounds like you may have ended up in the fallback hopper when you started it up the other day, give it time and they should reappear.
  2. It's pretty simple. Go to custom games, select a game type, then modify the game type using the Edit Gametype (or is it Edit Game Options? something along those lines, it should be shown somewhere on screen most likely near the bottom, regardless) in some way, such as changing the scoring around, and then there should be an option to save game type (again, shown on the screen, probably near the bottom), and after that, viola, achievement gained. I can't give you a step by step at this exact moment, but that's basically it.

    Map Selection

Erosion, Impact and Ravine are all forge maps, and they made it pretty clear that they are not going to be releasing forged maps until after DLC has been released. As far as BTB Objective games, I would love for them to make a return.
  4. Weekly playlist updates, it was taken out of the rotation this week, apparently.
  5. Currently you cannot see this ranking system, even on Waypoint. It is there, and is working, and they are currently making sure everything is working properly with it, and that something in the game isn't exploiting it. If there are any tweaks to be made, they'll make them, and it's official release will be sometime in Early 2013, where it will be visible on Waypoint.
  6. Yes, they will send it to the email they have on file for your GT, not just the one you signed up with. So as long as you sign in using your new email, you're golden.
  7. You're complaining about not getting something in your console edition that was never advertised to come with it in the first place, and if you have an ad showing that it does, whoever printed it was wrong. What you did get was this: A custom console with Halo 4 sound effects when powered on/off, two custom controllers, the Standard Edition of the game, a unique armor skin, a unique weapon skin, a unique emblem, a matching avatar armor, and a unique avatar prop. That's what was advertised. You may think I'm a jerk, and so be it, but that is what you got for spending more than those of us who only purchased the SE or the LE.
  8. You should have had more than 1 code in the box. Should have been a piece of cardboard that had 4 or 5 codes on it.
  9. Everything that was coming with the Halo 4 XBox was announced when it was announced, including the fact that it was coming with a standard edition of the game. *shrug* I feel no sympathy for you. Why is it fair that everybody who played War Games by Nov. 20th is getting the 6 other specializations, that was suppose to be a nice little perk for those purchasing the LE, and yet now everybody will be able to get it. Suck it up that you didn't receive something specific to one version of the game, and know that you will be getting it anyway within the next 11 days. As to the level cap... Why was there a level cap in Reach when the game first came out? There is nothing stopping you from continuing to play the game.
  10. Sometime between today and December 1st, you'll receive an email giving you a code to access the other 6 specializations. As to your question about it being "fair", every edition had its own pros and cons, and this was one of them.
  11. You've been over ranked is the most likley reason. For example, (and this is just an example, I'm not saying this is you), you should be a 15, yet they ranked you at 40 because of how well you performed before hand. Thus, you're playing other 40's and ranks around there, and they are destroying you. This will balance itself out, especially since the game is only a few weeks old. Check out post #34 & 35 in this thread here, for a more detailed explanation: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/18770-matchmaking-skill-level/page__st__20
  12. Okay, you're not going to find screen shots in that location. Push Start as if you were going to view your Spartan stuff, and it's in the lower ribbon, I think it's the third option from the left, but I could be wrong. But it's definitely in the lower ribbon in one of the options available.
  13. This. Exactly what this guy said here. He's spot on about the problem, and explained it in a much clearer way than I did.
  14. Where exactly are you going to search for your screen shots? Take me through the steps. I don't have a 360 or Halo 4 infront of me, so I need my memory jogged.
  15. Could be that you've completed a challenge for the day, and that is why you are gaining more XP than what is shown. I haven't seen anything pop up with a challenge complete item in the list at the end of a game yet, but I could be wrong. *shrug* This is my guess though, maybe somebody else has a different idea.
  16. Well this is a new one... interesting. Okay, first and foremost, have you checked your disc for scratches?
  17. Remove the 8GB install from your HDD and reinstall it, then give it another try.
  18. Next time do a search for this, there are dozens of threads like it, all with answers to your problem. To unlock the armor, all of your commendation progress for the Campaign must be completed before the armor is unlocked. Check your commendations and see which missions you didn't complete. If you did the campaign offline, you're going to have to redo the entire thing, if you only missed a mission or two, you only have to complete those missions.
  19. For crying out loud... can anybody actually read? The OP asked a question that hasn't been answered by a single post in this thread. Not one person has answered it. Sure, there have been a few decent posts that didn't go off, but for the most part it's been nothing but rants and saying the OP needs to get better. Fhaol, to answer your question from your OP, yes, you are having issues based off of the CSR (competitive skil rank) that is currently working behind the scene. When you first start playing, it randomly pairs you with people who are more recent additions to the game and haven't played a lot. Whether they've played Halo in any prior form or not does not matter, they are just fairly new to Halo 4. As you continue to play, you develope a baseline CSR, and if you've performed well in this time frame, it is going to be higher. Thus, now that you have your baseline CSR, it is going to pair you up with players of equal skills, plus or minus some. And it is at this point that the game is resetting your baseline, based on how you do against these new players. It's basically going to average out how you competed early on in your Halo 4 career, and now that it gave you a number, it's going to take into account your more recent games, and then find a nice balance. However, if you keep winning (like you stated is happening due to teammates), your CSR is going to stay higher, and you're going to keep being paired with these same types of individuals. Unfortunately, that is about all we know of the CSR, we don't know the actual system behind it, other than it is similar to what was in Halo 2 and Halo 3 in it's workings, but that doesn't mean 343 hasn't modified it in some way (which I'm almost sure they have). Without having a visible number available to us as of yet (won't happen until early 2013), then it's extremely hard to determine how exactly it is placing you.
  20. Check over at Waypoint, can't access it right now due to restrictions on my work internet.
  21. The fileshare is not 100% complete at this time, so searching for maps and game types is not possible, though will be in the near future. I don't have a specific timeline for this to become active, but know that they are working on it.

    1 Bullet problem

I think the weapons, power wise, are fairly balanced. The problem I see is not enough bloom, just a tad more would make it perfect and balance it out against the other weapons a little better, IMO. The shots feel right with the damage they do, but I shouldn't be able to spam it and still have nearly every shot be a headshot, it just needs a touch more bloom, personally.
  23. As long as you played by the 20th, new specializations will be unlocked for you in an email sent out by Microsoft to the email address used when you created your live account. This email will arrive no later than December 1st.
  24. Yes and no. Early 2013 we will see a Competitive Skill Rank (CSR) applied through Waypoint, where it will be visible. Currently it is working in the background to match you against players, and they are determining whether or not it needs tweaked prior to it's official release, at which point they will decide if they are going to reset everybody's CSR to 1, or allow you to play with the number generated prior to the release. They've claimed that it is going to be similar to the 1-50 that everybody knows and loves from past Halo games. It's been stated that it will not be visible within Halo 4, but I personally feel that if enough people want it, they may end up adding it into the game, but people cannot complain about it, we need to come up with a reasonable request, rather than all of these threads saying "This game sucks because it doesn't have a competitive rank" threads. Now I'm not saying that this is one of them, but there have been a lot of those types of threads. This thread is actually really well thought out, and well written, so I'm happy about that. It's threads like these that need to be shown over at Halo Waypoint (halo.xbox.com), and not the plethora of threads simply bashing 343 because of the lack of a competitive ranking.
  25. While you found the terminals, you didn't find them online, so Waypoint doesn't recognize that you've uncovered them all. Thus, even though you most likely have the achievement, it doesn't matter, since they were found offline. You'd have to go back through and find them all again to get your emblem. Same thing goes for the campaign, since you beat it offline, it doesn't recognize that you've completed the game on Legendary, even though you have the achievement unlocked. Hopefully in the near future 343 will fix this, but as it currently stands, you need to complete the campaign online and make sure all of the campaign commendations are marked as complete before it will unlock the Mark VI armor.
