  1. No offense, but I think you are just reading into it too much. It was Valhalla in Halo 3, and rather than keep the same name (how often did they actually keep the same name between two games?), they renamed it Ragnarok in Halo 4, keeping with the Norse theme, but probably not really caring about the meaning of the words. I could be completely wrong, though, who knows? *shrug*
  2. Totally approve of the sig, good job Insignia.
  3. So I'm going to test your creativity now. A signature that is entirely up to you, however you want to create it, whatever colors, images, etc. I'm gonna "fill out" the form, just to make it official, though it's mostly just gonna say Your choice. Enjoy, and I can't wait to see what you come up with! No rush on it, either. Classification: [signature] Format: Your choice Size [Default: 600x200]* Style: Your choice! Primary Colors: Your choice IMAGE [1]: Your choice IMAGE [2]: Your choice IMAGE [3]: Your choice Background: Your choice Writing: fzdw11 Font: Your choice Extras: Your choice Locations: Your choice
  4. Unfortunately that is only a stereo connection. Unless your HDMI is plugged into a Receiver, you're not going to get the full surround audio anyway, and you're just getting stereo through your TV speakers. With that being said, no headset that I'm currently aware of uses HDMI for audio (somebody please correct me, if I'm wrong). You'd need to use a digital optical cable (TOSlink) to get the true surround from it anyway. That being said, the X12's are the same exact way as your X11's, the red/white audio jacks, so if you're looking for a surround experience, then they are not the way to go. $100 or less, let's see what I can find.... the Turtle Beach DXL1's are right at your $100 mark, but I don't have any personal experiences with them. I'd check out some reviews. The DX12's are a bit more than your target price, at $130. I currently can't find a Tritton headset within your price range with the features you want, sorry.
  5. Well, with your X11's, there's only so much they can do. They're running sound via stereo, and not giving you the full effects of the game. You're talking reasonably priced, and you want something that will give you surround, so my question to you before anybody else can give you a good answer is, what is "reasonably priced" to you? Less than $100? More than? What is your top limit on price for a pair of headphones?
  6. Always enjoyed reading your posts Red, so take care of yourself and take all the time you need. We'll be waiting for your return.
  7. Wow. Politcal beliefs aside, any US Citizen that is old enough to vote should. You're not just deciding on a person to lead, you're deciding on the direction of our country for the next four years. While the two canidates may seem to "be the same," I'd urge you to actually go out and do some research on both of them. Voting is an important part of life in the US, and it is not something that should be taken lighly. The "I hate this government" mentality is deserved to some degree, our government hasn't done anything worthwhile for the people in quite some time. But on the same hand, if everybody adopts this mentality, then what's going to change? As for our neighbors to the north, We don't care what you think anyway. (Joking) Seriously, Killerdude, I know where you're coming from. But for every murder, for every car jacking, for every crime that's reported, I can point out a story that is inspiring and meaningful that is also reported. I don't know what part of Canada you're from, so I don't know what news broadcasts you're receiving, but I can assure you, the entire country is not like that.
  8. Ah! Okay, I was reading through your original post and was confused by what you were trying to accomplish. Now I fully understand. Unfortunately, there is no way to hook it directly up via HDMI, you need to use the red/white audio jacks. Obviously there aren't any on the back of the 360, so you either A.) need to plug it into your TV, or B.) plug it into an adapter on your 360. Out of curiosity, what model do you use? I have a pair of the X12's, and don't have any complaints from friends about them hearing my headset as background noise. They are loud enough that I don't have to turn the volume on the headset way up, and when I'm using them I mute the TV to avoid the sensitivity issues with the mic. That being said, there are Turtle Beach headsets that allow you to use an optical connection, giving you full digital sound, but they are a bit more expensive, obviously.
  9. Aw, sorry to see you go man. Wish you the best, and like AD said, stop back in and check on us in the future, we'd love to hear from you if you're up to it. Take care my friend. It's been a blast.
  10. People are thinking small here. If I could have any power, I'd want the power to absorb (and keep) other peoples powers. For example, you have fire control, I touch you, absorb it, and keep it. Somebody else has control of water? I absorb it and keep it, along with the fire control I aquired earlier.
  11. Great intro post, and welcome to the forums! Whether you're looking to make friends or just discuss Halo, you've definitely come to the right place. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, we're pretty helpful for the most part, and if we don't have a direct answer, we can generally point you in the right direction.
  12. Quick SJ, now's your chance to take back the post count lead! On a serious note now, see ya around Biggles, and hope you come back to us soon. You'll definitely be missed here.
  13. This is a good question, I approve. I play almost exclusively split screen with my wife, she loves the game and is pretty much the only one she'll play. I would like to see the black side bars go away. While they didn't bother me too much, I never understood why they were there in the first place. Single player fills the entire screen, and four player split screen fills the entire screen if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't played 4-player split screen in a while), so why doesn't 2 player split screen? As for the killfeed, this one is up in the air. I've never had a problem with it on just a two player split screen, but if you add in a third or fourth, then it becomes problematic, running into the reticle. Not so much fun when I can't exactly see the head while firing because there are letters blocking it.
  14. Amazon is still taking pre-orders as of today. Gamestop/EB could just be out of the number they ordered, and now can't get anymore from the distributor.
  15. If I'm not mistaken, aren't they working with Activision on a new FPS called "Destinty"? I still say Bungie sold out and are making CoD games now. -.- Jk.
  16. Or they're playing under the Reach mentality that "I don't want to score, we won't get as many credits if I end the game now". I'm with Azaxx on this.
  17. Uh, Twam can't give permission to put a halo image on a shirt...? He's just our admin here, not a part of Microsoft or 343, and they control the rights to Halo. OP, I'd do as Fail said, just make it and be done. If you're having it professionally made, though, that could be an issue.
  18. Exactly, as long as the normal controls remain, I'll adapt to the other buttons functions. I'd prefer them not to change too much, though.
  19. Oh, oh! What do you think about the Dodge Avenger? I may have to get a new car, accident last night and the repair costs might be more than the car is worth, stupid insurance companies, so I'm looking at different options.
  20. How is it that plums can be sour, yet at the same time, still be sweet?
  21. And that's a great attitude to have! Don't get me wrong, you should always strive to improve and a loss is the best thing to help you do that. I don't disagree with you that winning is fun, so don't take it that way. But it shouldn't be the only time you're having fun. Win or lose, you should still have fun playing the game, regardless, as that is the whole purpose of a game in the first place. Like I said previously, winning should enhance the fun you're having, but shouldn't be the sole determining factor in what "fun" is.
  22. Tallgeese has the right of it. I actually feel sorry for you, if winning is the only way you can have fun. There is more to life than winning, trust me. One day you'll realize this, and hopefully it won't be too late for you.
  23. Let me rephrase, based on the NEC Articles 500-576, what should the Electrical Classification of Benzene in a storage tank be?
  24. If I'm storing Benzene in a tank, what electrical classification should it be given?
  25. The problem is you've used Wikipedia as your source. The true definition of "Sport" based on Oxford Dictionary is completely different. I'm more likely to go with the Oxford definition rather than what Wikipedia says. Sport: 1. an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment: team sports such as soccer and rugby As for the rest, I'm glad your concerns have disappeared based on some of the information 343 has released.
