  1. So the description of this achievement is as follows, "In Crimson DLC matchmaking, kill 20 enemies with a detached Machine Gun Turret." Are you sure that you are playing Crimson DLC? If so, and you have confirmed your 20 detached turret kills, I would suggest emailing 343i support or posting a thread in the Halo Waypoint forum. Good luck! -Inversion
  2. It will be in a couple weeks. I've been hungry for some doubles action as well, and since Grifball was just released, doubles will follow shortly after, have faith -Inversion
  3. I'm sorry, but you're very hard to take seriously. I agree with you that the current ranking system is pretty ridiculous and that a different one needs to me implemented, but a commendation ranking system is definitely not the right answer. What I mean by you're hard to take seriously is that you come on 343iCM and make an account and just start bashing aspects of general FPS games? Sorry there, I didn't realise that you're opinion on 1st person was the only valid one out here. Please refrain from bashing games that you have literally no knowledge about. -Inversion
  4. I really don't think there's anything left to do, varous communities of Halo have come together and voiced their opinions on Halo 4. It is now up to 343i to work wonders with our favourite series. -Inversion
  5. Utter dissapointment in Microsoft for the most part. I think one of the reasons that they aren't making the trueskill ranking visible is because they want Halo: Waypoint to be THE place to go for Halo related stuff. Remember the days of BNET when it was the place to go to? I would've stayed if it was a visible system, looks like I'll be coming back to Halo when they release anniversary of Halo 2. -Inversion
  6. I recommend trying what Azaxx said, but before going to uninstalling your H4, try re-downloading your specializations, it worked for me the first time. -Inversion
  7. Just a hint, they cannot change ANYTHING no game mechanics, no button glitches or superjumps. Update graphics and release, it would be an incredible money maker if they did it right. -Inversion
  8. Can't really compare the two, but I'd definitly go with the plasma rifle. Brings back classic memories and great times. -Inversion
  9. Interesting, I would recommend some titles stated above me, I had a great time with Fallout 3/New Vegas. I would recommend this if you're going for a solo adventure like Skyrim or some sort. Otherwise, if you have 3 other people willing to buy a game, you should really look into Borderlands/Borderlands 2. It's such an enjoyable experience with all your friends playing with you. If neither of these titles suit you, I'd recommend playing Halo 4 to pass the time until Elder Scrolls Online is release . -Inversion
  10. Hey firepoker and welcome to the forum. I'd say that it seems like you are watching them kill you during the killcam. One thing to note about that is that the killcam in Halo 4 is really bugged and doesn't accuratly portray what took place. You should be expecting a patch or a removal of this feature when the next title update for Halo 4 is released. To answer your hacking question, there have been a few modders caught online that make their carbine shoot gauss warthog bullets. You can find numerous videos showing people modding online, good news is, they are all being caught. Enjoy your time here! -Inversion
  11. I can't really vote for SWAT, just because I really find that playlist non-appealing. I don't know what draws me away from it, but the only SWAT I liked was back on Halo 3. I can however share my opinion on Infinity Slayer. I think that it is simply broken. It definitly does not play like the original Halo 2/3 like you said, Bagels. Due to the fact of the DMR over BR. Now people can just sit back and pick easy kills off. Secondly jetpack, breaks the whole map, ruins map flow, map control, and getting to power weapons first. After this we have the boltshot, but that is a common defect on every map, sit back from afar picking people off with your DMR and then when somebody pushes you, just one-shot them with your OP secondary weapon. Finally personal ordinance, I think that this is the final straw with this map. It just encourages camping with more camping. So my overall opinion for Infinity Slayer? 2/5, and the 2 is only for the memories I had on this map. It is completely broken on Infinity Slayer, but if played with MLG v1 settings, I highly think that I would improve that rating. BR start only, no boltshot, no personal ordinance, and no jetpack. The problem is not with the map itself. -Inversion
  12. Oh man, do you guys remember the days of Halo 2 and 3? When the community had much higher standards than arguing amongst each other to no end? How many of you were around on Bnet and remembered that community? One of the best experiences of my "gaming" life. There is no denying it, Halo 4 is dieing. While it's initial sales may be higher, it's failing faster than Halo: Reach. You cannot say, "Oh, well Halo 4 had much higher sales than Halo 2." Just take a look at the longevity of the game, the only way they could get people off is to shutdown the compatibility for it and then they moved to playing through XBC on the computer. It was such a clear cut, and simple concept that it worked. So no, Halo 4 is not better than Halo 1, 2, 3 or even Reach. I feel like Reach took one too big a step in the wrong direction and Halo 4 transformed that step into a leap. Many people are quitting due to Twinreapers point, it is simply non-enjoyable for most people. I won't lie, I've had some really fun experiences on Halo 4 and with the hyped up title update, I think it may come out as a solid game. But it's hard to settle for solid when I've had great. -Inversion
  13. Hey Insignia, I have a simple request. It would just be updating a current signature but putting a little extra detail and changing some text around. Request Form Classification: Signature Format: PNG Size: Same ratio as my current sig. Style: If you could, a little more glow and less brightness. IMAGE [1]: Current Sig. Writing: Inversion (replacing the MAGIIXZ in the bottom left) Font: (A font change to whatever you think would look amazing) Just changed my username, and I thought my current sig was awesome but unfitting towards my current name. Thanks so much and I look forward to seeing what you can do with it.
  14. I absolutely 100% agree with OP. 343i needs to focus a little more on their, so to speak "core community" than try to win over some of the CoD populous (proof of this is adding a fishstick layout). I'm not saying that this is entirely a bad thing, but I would like to point out is that CoD players find something appealing to them in CoD and they will stick with it, Halo players find something in Halo and they too will stick with their game (for the most part). The people that keep Halo going are the core fans, they are the ones who will keep Halo's population high, even years after release. Forgers Halo 4 has arguably the worst forge mode in the series. Dynamic lighting is cool and all, but where are the enormous maps, the coloured details? I remember so many people on Halo: Reach that forged for the community, they were so happy with what they had in forge world that it was all they did. Some of the stuff made in there was incredible! Fun Customs With the new addition of flood mode and the removal of VIP and Juggernaut, many of the customs like Jenga, Ghostbusters, Saw, and Slender have become impossible to re-create and play. Competitive Side of Halo The side that keeps the game going long after release. Nothing in Halo 4 is appealing to this particular fan base. No visible trueskill, customisable loadouts, random weapon spawns, ordinance, instant spawn. The list goes on and on. (Just a few groups of Halo players that I could think of, off of the top of my head) Hear me out, I am not saying that this game killed Halo. I'm saying that it has the potential to fix everything and come out as one of the best Halos. An invisible trueskill system will just drive more people away from the game. I hope that 343i realises the potential this game has, but the steps needed to create a great game. -MaGIIXz
  15. Firstly, I would like to point out that CoD does have a competitive trueskill playlist. It has a whole section dedicated to "league play" which is basically the equivalent of an MLG playlist. Secondly, I don't want to wait anymore. Halo 4 was not ready to be released on November 6th, 2012. It was a $60.00 beta, the real, polished, and improved Halo 4, will be coming along with the TU in late Febuary/ early April. This is the one thing about this game that earks me the most. Halo 4 has dropped below 100,000 players in war games and Halo 3 lived through the release of CoD4, CoD5, and a little of MW2 and was rocking 500,000+ players. In my opinion, if 343i didn't speak two words a month about a TU, and actually had a beta, released the game when everybody was ready, a lot more people would have stayed with the game. Almost everybody I have on my friendslist (Xbox), has quit the Halo series and is awaiting the release of Bungie's Destiny. It just pains me to see that 343i could have kepts so many more players if they didn't make so many people wait so long for word about CSR/TU/Competitive playlist. So to put it into perspective, it's like a bleeding man on the floor. You have the ability to save him, but you're telling him "just wait a little longer". Please 343i, save my favourite series <3 -MaGIIXz
  16. Well, you're right about that (unless 343i pressures Microsoft to somehow break there contract with VG - Virgin Gaming). From my understanding, Microsoft is only promoting Virgin Gaming as the premier tournament venue for Halo 4, nobody else. This doesn't mean that they are the only ones who can run Halo 4 tournaments, it only means that they get 100% of exposure from Microsoft. MLG doesn't want to compete with that (without any support from Microsoft) and I think that's why they dropped the game. I've also been hearing about a contract that Microsoft has signed with VG, making sure that VG are the only ones who can handle the competitive side of Halo. I'm not too sure whether this has been confirmed or not, so I won't try to elaborate on it. Anyways, I think that Halo is the staple of FPS competitive gaming, but I understand how MLG is a business now, and needs to do what is best for the company as a whole. On a bright note, 343i and VG have shown interest in doing a collaborative tournament with MLG and many other leagues have started to pick up Halo 4. I wish my favourite game the best for its future! -MaGIIXz
  17. Hello beautiful people... Where to start. I'm going to start off by saying, I missed this place so much. I was a member a little less than a year ago (joined around May 20th), and I have noticed incredible changes to the site! Every single thing that has been updated, has been updated for the better. Just a year ago, I remember that it seemed like 343i community forum was a small little site that had wonderful and respective members on every day of the week. It was probably the most fun that I've ever had on a forum since Bungie.net and I missed that so much. I feel like there are so many new things to explore with the addition of more forum sections, the news page, file share, and so forth. It's such a vast and detailed place now, with many more great members. My temporary leave was due to schoolwork and boring stuff like that. I am back now, and hopefully for good, I will do my best to help out with anythign and everything and get involved in this forum like I once was. Great progress with this site! -Inversion
  18. So... To be clear, he said it will only be visible on Waypoint? That is not going to sit well with many people
  19. Well I'd assume for SWAT that they will just keep it to a one shot to the head. Since they won't have health, but only shields, it will most likely resemble the Halo 3 SWAT gametype. -MaGIIXz
  20. "Wake up! The enemy!" This is sometimes said by grunts to other grunts. Many other similar lines are said like this too, upon seeing marines or Master Chief. -MaGIIXz
  21. I recommend posting in advance about an event that you will be hosting. A week should do it, also please not the timezone in which you are situated in. It is just confusing when you say 7:00PM tonight. I would be interested in attending if you did all of the above. -MaGIIXz
  22. Spectral Jester has said that 343i is announcing a big release for information about Halo 4. Hopefully Stealth Pilot is right and they will shed some light on all of these GameInformer links. I am really looking forward to it, and remember that 343i doesn't want to follow in CoD's footsteps. They have already said that they would like to stay a seperate game from Call of Duty, all they are doing is bringing more twists to make the game more interesting. -MaGIIXz
  23. I think that I will still buy it. I am a die-hard Halo fan and am still saving for a Halo 4 edition, such as Heroic, or Legendary. Now that I hear this, I think that I might not be willing to spend over $100.00 on a Heroic or higher edition on this game even being such a Halo fan. If this is true, I will most likely just buy the standard package. -MaGIIXz
  24. I'm already dating her, I won her over with my poem. You were no match, anyways I think that she deserves to be the MoM for greeting so many people. Even if it is for just a short time. (Thanks for clearing that up with this thread though). -MaGIIXz
