I don't know it would be best if it was a ratio of games quit vs. completed, not just "how many games have you quit." Im just saying beacuse if you see someone with lets say, 24 quits, you might make the wrong assumption about them even though in reality those quits are spread out over a long career.

They should definitely keep the Reach system...only, as others have said, make it so theres another vote in the case of a tie...though that should maybe be excluded from Team Doubles or small player count game types...if you didn't have the top option winning ties in Doubles you'd potentially see the amount of time it takes to start a game doubling (HAH!) beacuse you could get one team that hates Slayer and another that hates Slayer BR/DMR.

The more colorfull and weird art style on the Spartan's don't really bother me...I mean, I don't like things to look stupid, but the Spartans arent so zany looking that they are dumb. If anything, a more alien and curvy kinda armor is to be expected from the Spartans since they represent the highest technological achievement of a race which has spent thirty years fighting aliens. So its only natural that the UNSC would be influenced heavily by the Covenant and thats what I'm seeing with the new Spartans.

IMO its not just the graphical quality but the art direction, which looks better than Reach's. The Maps, character models, weapons, everything I'd say. Except maybe for the Prometheans. Not sure what to think of their designs yet.

Its a book shorter than any of the Lord of the Rings books, but their stretching it into a trilogy. Its a terrible idea. Two movies made sense. PJ is a good director, but not good at story and writing when he decides to ditch Tolkiens narrative. I love the LOTR movies, but where they went wrong was precisely where Peter Jackson decided to change thigns or introduce stuff that wasn't in the books. And if they want to make three movies out of a relatively short book, Peter Jackson is going to have to film allot of material that Tolkien himself never really covered in anything but the vaguest detail, ergo, Jackson is basically going to have to pull vast segments of these movies out of thin air. I'm actively thinking these movies are going to be a dissapointment for that reason. I doubt they will be anything worse than mediocre, since PJ is a good technical film maker, but I don't have any faith in him considering how he butchered big parts of the Two Towers and ALL of King Kong.

Yeah but your recognizing the people who you either think are "good people" or who are generally accepted as good in the community. Those are subjective opinions based on people's personal perceptions of other people, in other words, its a measure of how well certain people are "liked" IE popular. I ain't saying that there's anything wrong with that, I'm just pointing out that its disingenuous to say that "popularity" doesn't play a role in this. I'm not going to argue any more about this cuz I don't want to start a war BUT lets not kid ourselves. "Popularity contests" rather we choose to call them that or not are a big part of this community. Rather its Drizzy's interviews with the community, member of the month, or your shout outs. If you are a better and more popular member, your gonna be recognized, and members strive for that. Thats just kinda how things work. I don't see any reason for us to dispense with those things, but lets not convince ourselves that we don't reward popular members. We do reward people who are funnier, more constructive, nicer, more helpfull, (in other words, the things which make people "popular") etc. etc. and we should continue to do so. Theres no reason to hide from that fact.

As soon as I saw this I knew Infinity ward was going to be the most hated. If I had to say favorite studios, I'd say tie between Bungie and Creative Assembly. I like Halo and Total War equally. Most hated Video game developer? I have no idea.

Halo 3 is definitely better. They made vehicles suck in Reach, Map design is uninteresting compared to Halo 3, the big maps in particular are really weak, too many Forge World Maps, Armor lock was OP and Active Camo just plain sucked. Story wise, Reach wasn't as good ( comparably) either. The "Noble" team members were bland and boring, unlike the squad members in ODST who had a surprising amount of personality. I could care less when they died. The Campaign levels never reached the same heights you get in Halo 3 (No actual scarab fights?), you never got a true sense of scale of the covenant invasion...and they destroyed the Covenant Super Destroyer the second time it appeared in the campaign! You saw it in action for like 25 seconds and then, the next time you see it, its ripped in half.

The DKR but thats just beacuse I found Bane an even more interesting villiain than the joker without being quite so much of a scene stealer. That and I just like the DKR maybe more than it deserves beacuse it was so Right Wing, so I gotta stand by it for idealogical reasons. Any movie that quotes a Tale of Two Cities gets my vote. Agree with others that it was too cluttered and that Talia was uneeded. Her introduction completely took away from Bane as a character...but then again, the end of the DK was a mess in my opinion as well. Both movies suffered from under whelming climaxes where the villains did not get dispatched in a very satisfactory way.

Even the temporary loss of Azaxx is a tragedy for our forums. Without a noble adversary I will most surely implode. Hurry back Azaxx.

I don't have any problem with this but in the spirit of all around d!ck-ish-ness I will point out that "they are about recognizing the people in our community who bring us together in laughter, friendship and debate." is pretty much a popularity contest. People are popular beacuse they are funny or friendly or smart, and those qualities correspond directly to "laughter, friendship, and debate".

I don't know about myself since I try to forget my failures, but my friend accidentally head shot my other friend on Last Platoon in ODST just as my other friend was boarding a wraith. We were very confused, so I turned around to yell at my friend who'd done the sniping. He yelled "No!" and a shot from the wraith which my other friend had been unable to board killed me as my back was turned. The betrayor friend came up to where I died and started shooting at the wraith but a Brute Chieftain came up behind him and stuck him in the head with a spike grenade. That was one sniper shot which managed to kill off our entire team. I kept team killing my friend until we ran out of lives.
