  1. I like all of Penguins Ideas and I too had the same ideas of getting bodies and stuff for forge. Skins for blocks and buildings would be another must have aswell, to create maps to a certain theme. Instead of just Metal for everything. Would be good for making some great custom games. Like those that have proper buildings like subways and hospitals. Yes, you can do a lot in reaches forge and actually make stuff resemble things you want it to, but without the option of changing the skins it all still just looks forged. I am talking forging that looks like a map that hasn't been forged. Another Idea would be a 'Snap to' tool, for those who have trouble leveling ground and stuff. Have an option like the rotation snap, where to can toggle Snap to on and it will automatically level objects for you when they are placed next to another. Making it easy to make flawless floors, walls, bridges, platforms and so on.... Those are my thoughts.
  2. As much as I loved the remastered graphics of the old classic, I simply did not enjoy the gameplay as much as I thought I would. I found numerous errors where the graphics had been remastered, but there were walls where walls should not have been, Of which, when you went through them, was much like looking at an incomplete map. There were also objects that looked like you could stand on them, where you would fall (Most commonly to your death) if you tried. EDIT: Oh, and don't forget all the elevators.... Those daaaamn Elevators! Up Down Up Down Up Down.... Are we there yet? Yeah, it was fun for the most part, being able to change back and compare the new graphics to the old ones, but as far as gameplay was concerned, it was repetetive and too long. I think I spent most of my time running down thin hallways and across bridges. Many of the missions were like this. If anything I would have been happier not to have the option to change between graphics, but to have an updated version of the original game. Keeping to the original storyline, but better missions with upgraded maps and less repetitiveness. Another thing I noticed that was pretty bad too was the A.I. It reflected just how old the original game was when you came face to face with certain enemies. Especially Elites. Normally, if you punch an Elite and lower it's shields, it stops to roar at you or at least gets knocked back and stops shooting for a moment. However the behavior was not updated in this game, thus allowing an Elite to get a double pummel (n00b move) before you get the chance to kill it in harder modes. Same goes for the Flood. I mean, whos god damned idea was it to give the Flood rocket launchers!? So there I am, just about to walk around a corner with barely any ammo and no shotgun. A Flood ridden soldier appears out of nowhere and fires a rocket, killing us both! I mean, WTF!? I was playing this on Normal and it took me over an hour to get past that little b*stard because of insufficient firepower to kill him. Each time I tried to get around that corner, it was instantaneous death! He was stood out of range of my grenades, so I couldn't bounce a grenade off a wall and my sniper was empty. My AR was also running on empty. All in all, as enjoyable as it was to play through and complete, Anniversary is now collecting dust on my shelves.
  3. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The DMR and BR should be merged into one weapon with primary and secondary fire modes. Primary should be to fire the 3 shot burst like the BR for medium range and Secondary should be a single shot like the DMR for longer range attacks. If you ask me, this would make SWAT matches so much more interesting. Maybe scrap the Magnum completely for a certain gametype.
  4. Then I will try for your Aura. Set up 2 custom challenges for Campaign. Setup is as follows. 1. Challenge type: Campaign. Goals: 600 kills. Time limit: 3 hours. Constraints: ONI Swordbase. Heroic. Skulls on: All apart from Iron, Blackeye, Tough luck and blind. 2. Challenge type: Campaign. Goals: 600 Medals Time Limit: 3 hours. Constraints: ONI Swordbase. Heroic. Skulls on: All apart from Iron, Blackeye, Tough Luck and Blind. Each of these challenges is worth 5000cR. Note: Make sure to turn on the skulls before you start the mission or you will not be able to complete the challenges. Now, for those of you who are familiar with the target Locator 'cheat' to boost your commendations and credits, that is basically what you are going to do here. Watch the Video below for a tutorial (Not mine) if you don't already know the Target Locator exploit. Once you have the required amount of kills and medals, turn in your challenges and set them up again to start over. Hope this helps you get more credits faster!
  5. Oh yeah, the maximum amount you can earn for any single challenge is 30,000cR, so experiment a little by stacking your challenges to gain more. Or alternatively, set up some easy to accomplish challenges and turn them in over and over until you reach your daily credit cap.
  6. So, after having a couple of questions regarding custom challenges today, it has become apparent that not everybody is familiar with them yet. Nor do many people know how to set them up, sooo, here is how you do it. Firstly, you will need to log into http://www.halo.xbox.com using the email address that your gamertag was created with. This will take you to Halo Waypoint on the PC. Once logged in you will be directed to the homepage and at the top you will notice your gamertag with your rank medal next to it. Now, you are going to click the arrow next to your gamertag for a drop down menu where you will be given a list of options. The one you want to click is labelled 'Challenges'. This will provide a list of the daily and weekly challenges at the top and as you scroll down, you will find a section where you can create new custom challenges (Up to 5 at a time). Once you have created your custom challenge (It's easy enough to figure out how from there) you can check back to see how you are doing and how many more kills, medals, headshots or whatever your target is that you need. When you have completed your custom challenge, you must not forget to go back to this page and turn it in by clicking on the challenge then clicking on the 'Turn in' button underneath it. If you don't wish to complete a challenge for whatever reason, you may either forfeit it or just leave it to expire. Just remember you can only have up to five custom challenges at any one point. If you wish to make new ones, you must either forfeit or complete a prior challenge. So, have fun earning those credits and ranking up people! Also, if you wish to invite friends to your custom challenges, the option is supplied. Just remember to message them and let them know as they too will need to log into their waypoint and check their invites there!

  9. Lets start with the Basics... C.E.I.R Stands for Combat Evolved Infantry Regiment. We are a tight knit gaming community with only a handful of members currently. As more people are recruited into C.E.I.R, more squads will be created, thus making us more of a gaming community than a clan. Currently the only squad running is Rogue Squad, however, as we gain more members we will increase the ammount of squads. Your player skill and maturity will determine which squad you are placed into if you wish to be recruited. As with most clans, we focus a lot on winning. But we do offer some cool custom game setups also. We have a military-style ranking system within each squad, all is explained in the website. For those who do not wish to be placed into a squad, you will be listed as a Free agent. Free agents are basically available for any squad to use or recruit and do not have a rank within the community as such. If one squad decides to remove a member, that member is not removed from C.E.I.R. They are merely placed into the Free agent Category. We are a pretty easy going bunch, offering a diverse range of skills and playlist abilities. If you are interested in joining, Message me on my Main GT: CRS Caboose, or message my second in command: il Sparx li ( iL Sparx Li ) And we will arrange for a tryout with you to determine where you will be placed in C.E.I.R.
  10. Well, judging from the welcome in the shout box and these here replies, I think I am going to enjoy my time here. I won't be going anywhere soon. At times I will idle a lot, rarely posting in the forums but that is mainly due to lack of time available. However, I will try when possible to show my face and possibly lighten up your days just that little bit more
  11. Well, as requested I have come to post a topic to introduce myself to the community and say hello to you all. So... what to say.... God I hate being put under pressure! Um... Must appear cool.... I like cheese!!!! ... Yeah, I blew it didn't I. But seriously now, My name is Phil, I enjoy a lot of things, one of the main ones being the games in the halo series. Many people who play with me have learned to look past my aggressive nature when faced with the horrid lag beast and now focus more on the comical side. Thats right, I like to make people laugh. Whether it be by doing many of my infamous impressions, random jokes or just being myself. For those of you who may wish to game with me, my Gold Account expired yesterday but will be topping it up soon. I run my own Gaming community called CEIR (Combat Evolved Infantry Regiment) Which consists of one squad currently: Rogue Squad. As the Community grows, I will start new squads and assign captains to each one, but for now we are just one elite squad... well with a few weak links, but that doesn't matter too much, the stronger ones are happy to carry them. Look forward to being part of the community here at 343!
