I understand that in Reach you were playing as a unnammed Spartan, but in Halos 1,2,3 you were playing as a direct look alike to John 117. I think (for me anyways) I would like to be put into a loby with all 117 look alikes again. Just my preferance. this way while I am doing great it feels like Chief is doing great. not just some elite super soildier. that i have no connection with.

just got done reading the Gi issue with halo4 as the cover story. I am upset to see that while i am playing as the 1 and only john Spartan in the campaign. you will not be playing as him in the multiplayer. instead you will be this off-shoot of Spartan IV. All i want to know is why after waiting so many years to play as the Chief, you decide to have us play a different character. Just so it ties into the campaign. now i have not seen any footage or know all the details, but i hope that You 343 decide to let all of us Chief fans to play game varients as the Chief.
