Here's the problems with AI. They have to be programmed for each map, and programmed to sense forge changes and pieces. AI have to be individually programmed for each map and gametype, and every variation in mm. Let's just say, it would set back the next Halo months, if not more, and the AI wouldn't even be all that great.

You never played infection in any of the other Halos did you? Flood were just as customizable as humans, if not more. Flood AI is an alright idea, but there are always problems with AI, especially with forgettable maps.

Total has always deserved this honor. When I joined, he was a great and welcoming member in the news group, and he was all over the forums. I didn't see all that much news from him, but he was a great member that was pretty much always making a party. He was a great guy to have around, and sometimes the only guy to have around. Well deserved!

Pretty much you forge what you want to forge, with other members. Many of us also create designs in sketch up on agreed upon map features (ie dominion map in a space station, focusing of a zero gravity area and long hallways). Typically one or two members will create a generic design outside of forge and slowly put together a basic layout in forge. Then multiple members will go in a finish off the majority of the map in a few sessions, which occur whenever they can get together. The main point is to get multiple people involved in each map we make, and it works quite well.

Typically we want to try and start each map from scratch, however, many of us have older maps that were never finished or were coforged, and they can be submitted and continued to be forged by the community.

the war games mal pass was one of the codes in the packaging, and the Forward Until Dawn was a code for a download, not a disc.

As we kind of co forged with that map and it got the idea for CFP rolling, yes indeed!

Alright. Good Samaritan and Naughty Naughty deal with the engineers. You get Naughty Naughty by killing (self explodes don't count) ten engineers throughout walking around as the Rookie during "New Mombasa." There is the number tracker with this (ie 1 of 10) You get Good Samaritan by not killing any of them while the Rookie and play through the whole campaign while walking through "New Mombasa" and you don't have to worry about self explodes. There is no number tracker with this, so if you do kill one, you have to restart.

Alright, in order to get this rolling again, I am going to be launching an effort to create a unique set of maps for the forum, that may just end up in a major contest. And the theme for the unique set of maps is: MultIteam! (Multiteam for those who can't read rainbow) That's right, a set of maps dedicated to those who want to fight more than one team at a time! The focus would be on four teams of three, but would be compatible with four teams of four. Meant for both slayer and objective games, and each map would have a different theme and of course, layout. There is lots of space for both symmetrical and asymmetrical designs, so let's get cranking!

Alright, I'm getting this going again, and starting it off with a grand project, which may just accumulate in a unique contest! So get your ideas rolling!

Welcome back to the forums! I actually remember you, so feel proud you had returned!

WoW, MoM I'm surprised that this would be the month I become MoM. Last year, this month, was a very active time for the forum, with tons of playdates and lots of members on all of the time. I was very active, and that's when I knew the greatness our forum can pull off. We also had a forge contest, and there were submissions, but no one knows what happened to that... Reading through older MoM posts, I reliezed that many thank certain people, a group, talk about joining, they ramble, or just self indulge about themselves. They also make mention that they were reading old MoM threads. I tried to hit all of the above standards, but I felt it was too repetitive and knowing that if I did, I'd leave someone out, SO, you know who you are if you have my thanks. I feel like I never talk a lot about myself, so, here goes: I'm MoM for August of 2013 I joined this site of April 14, 2012 I enjoy Halo My gamertag is Sikslik7, so stop asking for it! My gamertag is based off my last name, and was going to be Sikslik6, but none of my friends could say it I enjoy playing older GameCube, Gameboy, and PC games I am an Eagle Scout I play a variety of sports with my friends every once in a while, and go camping once a month I work too much in school and at work I do really well in school I enjoy lots of older movies (80's 90's) I read a lot, and my current favorite book series is "A Song of Fire and Ice" My favorite author is Eoin Colfer Other stuff about me, that I'm too lazy to put up..... My wisdom that I impart to you all: The forum can be awesome if you want it to. Be cool, don't get overly upset. Be nice, and you'll be treated nice. Don't seclude yourself in one area of the forums or with a certain group of people, your ideas can make the forum better in more places than one. Try to go to playdates, and if you can't, try to make yourself available to other members online once a week. Get on the forums, it sucks to get on and find that no one has been on in an hour. Invest some time into the forums and various things on the forums, and you'll enjoy yourself so much more. Finally, I am getting the Community Forge Project going again, and have plans to make something very unique to the forums, which may just end up in a contest full of fabulous prizes. I'm getting ahead of myself though, as the forging still needs to be done! Even if you suck at forging, come by, and we'll help get you going. Learning some of the basics to forge is the hardest part. Seeing the basics while it is being done helps so much. Many hammers will be needed before the contest can begin, but it is one where you'll all love the contest, as it will be unique. Its not you, its the other people you are playing with. You see, even if there is a 31% chance that a map should be dlc (its actually higher than that on playlists like SWAT and action sack), it won't, because everyone in the lobby has to have the dlc! Since less than 10% of all people who play Halo regularly have the dlc, and that 10% is spilt up into different playlists, it is rare to play a game on a dlc map. Your best chance to actually play on a dlc map without entering a dlc only playlist is to be it into a game halfway over, and then you hope the lobby sticks together. Find one or two other people with the off maps and stick with them, then, the search engine will weigh the choosing of other players differently, making it more likely to play dlc maps. Other than that, the dlc playlist rotates every few weeks, but once the new one comes out later this month, there should be a new, complete dlc playlist.

In order to use pretty much anything online with Halo, you have to do it while signed in and connected to live.
