Although this sounds fine, it isn't the range that is the problem. The problem is the scopes and spread. With the BR, the farther away the target, the more the shots spread, so a less effective burst over distance. With the carbine, it deviates from it's original angle of firing a little bit, but not by much. If 343i fixed the scopes and lessened the spread for long distance, it would be balanced long distance, but would screw up the close range conflict.

Well, this very much sounds like the current hardlight shield. I think it works pretty well as is.

Replay the campaign, The Infinity has already had contact with another Halo, the fifth, (where you go to get the Composer, but it was moved off the Halo and onto an obiting research lab). There was flood on that Halo, and the flood on the Halo are mentioned, but are now contained on the Halo. So the Spartans knowing about flood and training for possible Flood attack, sure, completely reasonable. Playing as Flood, not so much, but knowing how you enemy works makes it easier to defeat them.

Well just some info: On your shoulders, your emblem and current UNSC emblem appear. Also, Back in Halo 3 there was a band of color on your leg that remained during team games, I think that should have remained in Halo, but did hurt the system performance (but barely, the helmets take more to generate).

There is not a gauss hog in the base maps, but there is a rocket hog on one. I wouldn't doubt editions of the maps with gauss hogs coming out in match making though.

Alright, here is the second puzzle, which is much harder than the first. This requires spacial analysis skills and plenty of scratch paper. Good luck! Goal: Simple enough, connect dots 1, 2, and 3 with 4, 5, and 6. (ie 1 connects with 4, 5,and 6; 2 with 4, 5, and 6; and 3 with 4, 5, and 6) The lines must be separate (ie, one line for each of 1's connections). Rules: 1. You cannot cross, merge, or split lines. Curved lines are ok. 2. You cannot "run" a line through another dot. (ie direct lines, so once a line reaches a dot, it ends) 3. You can not have wormholes, teleporters, time machines, etc, in your solution.

Wheel man goes a long way, plus, it really takes exceptional drivers to be dominate with a warthog, which only gives great drivers an additional advantage.

It is a good game, but I suggest you borrow it for a weekend first, you have to get into it to really enjoy it. It wasn't all that fun for me.

Most likely more map packs will come, but not for a couple months. Many of these first maps were already being tested at release of Halo 4. I would assume in order to maximize profit that there will be at least 2 more map packs before Halo 5 is released on the next gen console.
