  1. First, the motion tracker in Halo has different settings. 1, no MT 2, only allies MT (stopping or crouching has no effect, as you always see allies) 3, everyone, MT (stopping or crouching removes a person from MT, unless firing or using AC) 4, everyone, no matter what conditions Normal settings are #3, which have been in every Halo. It does not track all motion (ie crouching). Once you understand how to use MT offensively, you have the advantage a lot, an begin to notice how many people do not use their MT much. The people who complain about no MT are very much the people who learn to use it well, mainly campers or those who do not play competitively. It takes getting used to. Part of Halo is having MT, and it was in many games before. Halo is balanced with a MT, but other games are not, (for example COD, as it would give away snipers and everyone else, it breaks balancing).
  2. I disagree, motion trackers and radar will remain in shooters for a long time. Most games have it and continue to create different versions than other games. Although it does prompt camping a little bit, it is a very offensive tool to many (me included). Most people are very oblivious to the radar, and are often taken advantage of by those offensively using it. I understand not having it in competitive play or having a downgraded version to only allies. It would be obstructive to most competitive play. As for spawning and showing up, I played some games, and I only showed up when spawning on my own and my allies radar in the first five seconds. There was a radar ping on my allies radar, showing I spawned, but not on my enemies, unless I moved or fired.
  3. Well, what do you mean? An Xbox compatible hard drive, or a computer hard drive? For storing your maps, you need an Xbox hard drive. No way around it except for a flash drive or external hard drive, which only saves up to a GB or something, max, because of an Xbox limitation. For getting stuff like pictures and videos of your map you need to save them to your file share and download them to your computer, or use a capture card to save footage from your Xbox to your computer.
  4. Why is minesweeper so fun!

  5. You can add objective gametypes to maps. When in the forge lobby, change to game mode to the game type you want to forge, instead of basic editing(just like doing so in a custom game). Second, The ability to forge Enemy AI (or allied AI for that matter) would be nice, but is incredibly hard to do for a console, as you would have to program the AI to the maps various paths and spawning. (ie, currently they would only see a blank world, so if there was a wall in between them and you, they would shoot at the wall, following your every move, but would never walk around the wall to actually deal them damage). Other similar basic problems would occur (for example, if you built a bridge, they would never use it, but try to jump the distance or move around the gap a longer way).
  6. Ha, I seem to always find them, and always love mopping up the free kills most of the time. But some of them are actually pretty decent at it, and are good players without it.

  8. Okay guys, this this is the list of people you don't talk about the forum revolution to. Alright?
  9. I have had this problem, but with other games or consoles and computers Frankly it isn't the developer's fault. All they do is design the case art, material, etc. The part that holds the disc is simply just the average disc holder, just in a different material. I keep most of my discs in a flip book, or add a flip book case to my game's case, so it doesn't happen.
  10. Isn't this like the sixth week you have posted the same post? Okay, we already have a forum lobby going on at this time, every Friday. Might I suggest you post earlier in the week on halocustoms.com. Theologies fill really quickly and many members here use it to get games together.
  11. The servers are running on backups, as the main servers went down. (and with other games as well)

  19. What happens is this: 1. You reach level 50 and pick a specialization to work on. Each specialization has 10 levels, which increases in needed points to the next level as before. 2. During leveling up, you gain access to new emblems, gun skins, and armor. Once you reach the 10th level, you gain access to a new tactical/support package (like dexterity, ammo, etc.). You can then use that as one of your loadout options. This ability is determined by which specialization you picked. (I suggest looking at the abilities for each specialization, found using google). 3. You then pick the next specialization you wish to complete.
  20. Man, this is tough. Many members have been leaving recently. All I can say is good luck, and Godspeed.
