I do NOT want HALO 4 being a game where I have to put up with armor abilities (other than Sprint, DUH!) or not having a legit ranking system...I want HALO 4 to be a competivetly balanced game.

  1. I'll second that, no one here wants hear you go off and rage on and on. If you are going to post something at least have the common courtesy to post something a little less hostile and more informative.
  2. Granted you do make some very good points and I agree with you whole heartedly on the COD view, there's no reason to get snippy. Everyone has a right to their views and opinions, he disagrees with you no need to "show off anything".
  3. After reading GI all it did was disinterest me in the game because in truth, it does sound just a little too much like COD to me. The ranking system, unlocking weapons and armor abilities (which lets face it, one of the worst ideas in the first place), no respawn and being able to jump into a game that's already in progress, which I can't stand in any game. I just wish they would have decided to lean more towards the first HALO trilogy game play than REACH because in my opinion that game was just a disaster lol. Granted these are just my views and opinion and the game might turn out better than I am expecting but I think I might just stick with HALO 3 and maybe play the new campaign. Sorry 343.
  4. I hate to say this but after reading Game Informer I am extremely dissappointed in the direction 343 decided to go with, concerning HALO 4. If you ask me they are taking the worst parts of HALO REACH and throwing them into a Call of Duty type game. There's a reason people still play HALO 3 and that's because it is one of the most Epic games of its time. The fact that 343 decided to lean more towards a HALO REACH type game is enough to make me want to cancel my preorder. I was really looking forward to this game but I was REALLY wanting a game more along the lines of the first trilogy. At least the campaign looks interesting.
  5. Sorry but I would prefer the ranking to be more like the other HALO's and definietly NOT REACH's. REACH'S ranking system was for no life noobs. This isn't COD where if you play enough your 'Top Dog' I like earning my rank and knowing what my true skill level is, NOT ranking up because all I do is play.
  6. The main thing I want out of HALO 4 is losing the armor abilities, with the exception of Sprint since it did help in speeding up the game play and made it more interesting in the process. If 343 is interested in keeping armor abilities then they should have them in the form of drops like in HALO 3 with their power ups, that way they can be fought over and provide a more competitive edge to the game. Not only that but giving them a limited time or supply would prevent unbalancing the gameplay, For instance, if there were a jetpack drop, by giving it a small bar that once its used up its gone would keep people from using it ALL game and give others a chance to use it as well. My main concern with the jetpacks however is how everyone would abuse them in HALO REACH. They used it to get in impossible places like perched somewhere you cannot see them or anywhere that is not within the boundaries of the map, so if 343 is going to keep this in their game they need to think of ways to prevent this from happening. In a nutshell, HALO 4 needs to be as balanced as possible like HALO 3 with its gameplay. For instance, everything had a counter. Overshield had powerdrain, or powerdrain and regen. Main advice 343, LEARN FROM REACH! No one on my friends list has REACH anymore even though they ALL bought it the night of its release. Kinda sad considering majority of my friends I meet playing HALO 3...
