Awww Snap! Well some of us have waited YEARS for something as crucial to the Half-Life Series for a looooong time! IGN.com has gone to a recently former employee of both Counter Strike AND Valve, Minh (Gooseman). Minh claims that the very much anticipated and hoped for "fictional" game Half-Life 3 is currently being developed, as well as a well endowed Left 4 Dead 3! Gabe Newell, Head of Valve games came out and said in the past that they were focusing now on multi-player based games rather than sequels. Has Valve changed gears? The was documentation leaked in the past mentioning these games, so who knows? Maybe Valve is finally hearing out the fans. What do you guys think? This is a GREAT prologue, and I am FINICKY. The only thing I want to see is at least one "good" species that allies with the humans, and can they please be insectoid? Kinda like halo drones but larger, more upright and stronger overall. Besides my little request, I have not much to criticize, very well done! One thing you could do, is shed some light on how the species found each other, and how they formed The Collective. Detail is always good. Also, add some more species that are sentient, intelligent, but not however considered part of The Collective. Similar to Star Wars and Mass Effect, not every species has earned a spot in their Embassy/Senate. I think you should have introduced the protagonist ( a solo character like MC) towards the end of the prologue like - "Lieutenant Johnson was blah blah blah until he was recruit for Collective spec ops or whatever" Something that reveals who we are starting with cause just "the humans" seems rather vague. If it was a band of characters, BRIEFLY introduce them. Great Prologue, I want to read more!

Hey 343, Thought of a fun game for the offbeat section! It's rules are similar to Ban the user above you game. The point is to diagnose the member above you with a strange never heard of phobia, disease, or any kind of psychological problem. Use your imagination, be creative! This thread is intended for nice clean fun! Try not to use anything like "STD" or something that people may take offensive such as mocking cancer.
