  3. Yeah, I don't mind...you can list a top 3 then a close section.
  4. I was thinking today out of all the games I've ever played and what developers made them, so it made me think of this topic of which gaming developers were my favorite... Mine are... 1. Bethesda 2. RockStar Games 3. Epic Games Yes I know I don't have 343 or Bungie on their...but Bungie is in the top 5 easily. What is everybody else's top 3 gaming companies?
  5. At Pax 2012, legendary game designer Hideo Kojima showed off a big chunk of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. The game is open world, with vehicles, but with a stealth twist. Kojima said MGS: Ground Zeroes is not Metal Gear Solid 5; it's a "prologue." By: Stephen Johnson From: G4TV It is a prologue but still looks amazing. Built on the Fox Engine, the demo level shown featured a long cut-scene (naturally) that transitioned seamlessly to in-engine gameplay footage. According to Kojima, the lushly detailed demo gameplay we saw is not for next-gen systems. This is how it will look on your PS3 or 360. Although Kojima pointed out that the game is scalable to next-gen systems. In the demo, Snake (yes, he's back) is tasked with infiltrating a U.S. prison built in Cuba. We see Snake climbing up a cliff in the rain, at night. At the top, he nears the prison, dodging search lights by cowering behind rocks and lying on the ground. After dodging the headlights of a truck (Ground Zeroes will feature a variety of vehicles you can ride in) Snake sets his gun-sights on the guard manning the tower. He takes a silenced-shot, and the enemy slumps over. Because this game is in early state, we don't get to see inside the prison. Instead, Snake lights off a flare on the ground, drawing a helicopter. You'll be able to call a helicopter at any time, although if you summon a helicopter in too conspicuous an area, it could be shot down. According to Kojima, the helicopter can play whatever music you choose. For the demo, it's Wagner (shades of Apocalypse Now), although if your music is too loud, that could draw enemies as well. When asked if the "Zeroes" in the title refered to a fresh start, Kojima said, "I can't say too much about it; but this isn't the end, its the beginning." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhDZDgyrTLc

  7. From: http://www.gamespot.com/ By: Jonathan Toyad New installment of FFXIII series out in 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3; features open-world gameplay and tweaks to Paradigm system. Square Enix announced a new entry in the Final Fantasy XIII series during today's Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary presentation in the Shibuya Hikarie building in Tokyo, Japan. The role-playing game is called Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and will be the final entry in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. The game takes place within the world of Novus Partus, which contains four large islands and the game will chronicle the last thirteen days of the game's universe. Players control Lightning as she finds a way to save the worlds from extinction. Players can customize Lightning's attire, including her armor and weapons, but there is no information on whether she can equip weapons other than shields and swords of various sizes. The game will still retain the Paradigm Shift combat system, except that players can move Lightning around the battlefield and swap weapons instantaneously. Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Motomu Toriyama also announced a Twitter and Facebook account for the game. Players can give their feedback and thoughts on past titles so that the design team may implement them during the game's development. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be out in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The first batch of art from the game can be seen below.
  8. The upcoming God of War movie from Universal Studios is still alive, and its new script is being written by Saw series scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. Melton and Dunstan wrote Saw IV, Saw V, Saw VI, and Saw 3D. Kratos' big screen debut is being written by the minds behind the latest Saw movies. Charles Roven and Alex Garnter, producers of the forthcoming film based on Naughty Dog's Uncharted action franchise, are producing the God of War movie via Atlas Entertainment. No mention was made of a director or actors for the God of War film, and a release date has not been nailed down. In 2008, Rush Hour director Brett Ratner was attached to helm the project, but it is unclear if he is still involved. News regarding game-to-movie adaptations has been buzzing of late. Just this week, Ubisoft announced that X-Men: First Class and Inglourious Basterds star Michael Fassbender will play the lead role in the upcoming Assassin's Creed film. Additionally, yesterday, CBS Films picked up the rights to make a movie based on Deus Ex: Human Revolution. God of War: Ascension is due out in March 2013. It is a prequel to the original trilogy, and the first entry in the series to sport a multiplayer component. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=5mLAiijgaHE Article @ Gamespot.com http://www.gamespot....writers-6386418 View full article
