Scarabs, Elephants, Mammoths, and Pelicans OH MY!
SatanicBagels replied to Baeztoberfest's topic in Halo 4
There was actually 3 in Halo 3. Two on The Covenant and one on The Ark. I think the mobile assault fortress idea you tossed out would be epic if it was done via mammoths. -
Agreed. They also have seriously degraded in the department of mics since the Halo 2 days.
-
Wait, do you?
-
You don't get better ordinance when you're losing.
-
Have you tried adapting yet. I heard that it's quite lovely

You may have heard of the popular parody of the song Gangnam Style for Halo 4 called Whoopin Spartan Style. Black Ops 2 has apparently done their own parody video and it's not too shabby.

How the War Games Playlists Should be Arranged!!!
SatanicBagels replied to SatanicBagels's topic in Halo 4
That I am. I also agree that the Crimson DLC isn't the best, but 343i would never remove it because of all the people who would complain that they can't use their DLC. -
Haven definitely. So fun with Jetpack and mobility. Many interesting trick jumps and weapons which are fun to use. One of my favorite maps ever in a Halo game. Nothing like grabbing a sticky detonator then flanking around the enemy team for a quick triple kill.

How the War Games Playlists Should be Arranged!!!
SatanicBagels replied to SatanicBagels's topic in Halo 4
0_0 Oh yes I will work that in there immediately. -
Cool to see that I made the list. Congratulations to all the others that made the list. Thank you to all the many others who were likely close to making the list for making this site the wonderful place that it is. Thanks for taking this over Syko. I always enjoyed these and am glad to see you have revived them.

Alright I'm going to propose an idea to reform the War Games playlists for maximum population and fun-i-tude (not a real word). In order to do that I am first going to establish the base playlists and try and work from there. Infinity Slayer BTB Crimson DLC Dominion Regicide Flood CTF Oddball Team Regicide SWAT The first thing I'm going to do is propose that Team Regicide stays. It is arguably funner than regular Regicide... and I don't see any reason that we shouldn't have a team oriented version of this game as for some people it gives them an opportunity to get some slaying action without having to worry about ordinance drops. I'll also propose combining CTF, Oddball, and KoTH into one playlist called Team Objective. I always felt that Team Objective was a bit of a variety pack in Halo Reach as it allowed you to enter with no idea what you were going to get and be forced to adapt your strategy based on what you get. If all else fails, I can also see a place for Team Regicide in here as well. So this gives us... Infinity Slayer BTB Crimson DLC Dominion Regicide Team Regicide Flood Team Obective SWAT Of course there are some other playlists that I think that 343 industries should attempt and squeeze in there. These playlists are Team Snipers, Grifball, and Team Doubles. Team Snipers is a relative muse as it has been a staple of Halo Matchmaking since Halo 2. It is one of the most popular playlists and definitely should be included full time. Grifball is also a must because it provides fun (and sometimes competitive) action to a very large part of the community in a way that Flood or Action Sack never could. It is also a huge fan favorite and along with Team Snipers would easily absorb a large portion of the general population. Team Doubles is really a no brainer to me. It doesn't take a massive population to be successful and it is probably if I do say so myself one of the most popular playlists in Halo history. If added to Halo 4 it would be played by many. I also didn't include Action Sack because I believe that Grifball and Flood occupy the casual portion of the population fairly well and adding another casual playlists would probably in turn water the playlist populations down. Action Sack, at least to me, should be brought in if they ever wanted to do a Double XP weekend or just mix it up a bit for a little while. In addition I'll leave room for MLG to be worked in there eventually. So that leaves my final playlist selection at... Infinity Slayer Big Team Battle Crimson DLC Dominion Regicide Team Regicide Flood Team Objective SWAT Team Snipers Grifball Team Doubles MLG Thoughts? Discussion? Comments?

I don't see how the issue of the balancing the DMR and BR in relation to each other could be cause for such unnecessary comments and insults. Way I see it the BR needs to be slightly buffed. I feel that if they were to nerf the DMR then that would cause for a massive increase in kill times and negate from the awesome high speed of Halo 4 War Games matched. The real issue wit the DMR is that it beats the BR in almost all scenarios assuming the two matched up against each other are of equal skill level. The way I would solve this is to make the BR 4 shots but all of the headshots have to be PERFECT HEADSHOTS with not a single stray bullet missing. I think that this would require a good bit of skill to do. This would make the BR far more effective at close range if the user is skilled enough while still allowing the the DMR's long range precision dominance over all of the other loadout weapons.

You sir, are going to fit in wonderfully with these forums. Welcome to the forums by the way.

http://blogs.haloway...e-–-Week-2.aspx After countless matches of slaying opposing players 343 industries has decided to mix it up a bit and introduce Objective gameplay into their Halo 4 Infinity Challenge. It should be a nice break from Infinity Slayer for those who put in days of playtime last week. They also want to remind you that you will also get kills for running and capturing the flag as well as capture assists and flag defense type gameplay. Also an update on the leaderboards for this challenge for War Games: ...As well as one for Spartan Ops: Weekly Challenge: Get 200 kills with your secondary in Infinity War Games.

What 343i did didn't ruin anything. It was a simple glimpse at a face for the sole purpose of character development. In the half second that he took his helmet off we got to see him as a living breathing person and not a machine. Coincidentally (I think not) one of the major themes of Halo 4 was whether Master Chief was a machine, metaphorically of course) or a person. This should do wonders for character development and storytelling. However I have to agree that they shouldn't make it the norm to show his face. In all honesty we don't need to see his face again probably ever.

It's a lot harder for people who play BTB and such. If you play Team Regicide, SWAT, Infinity Slayer, or Oddball it's really easy though. I don't really think that it's much of a problem though. Just an easy XP boost to enjoy.

It's hard to fully understand the way 343 industries is trying to do things (most likely because it's incredibly stupid -- sorry super fanboys) but your best bet is to just be patient. The intelligent thing to do would be to introduce Team Snipers and Grifball full time then Rotate a few others. Since 343i's goal is not to water down the populations with too many playlists may I recommend to them combining Oddball, CTF, and KoTH into one Team Objective playlists. I think that would solve the problem. Of course nobody will be completely satisfied. They're just trying to do their best... and aside from a few little pointers they're doing a damn good job of it.

Definitely Grifball. Once they bring that in probably tomorrow morning though I'm going to have to go with... *scrolls all the way up page to look at choices again* ...Shotty Snipers

Mine is the Sticky Detonator. I find that it combines the explosive power of a rocket with skill suggesting game-play mechanics. It can be used for a variety of different functions and really is a game changer in the right hands. If only one of these new weapons was brought back in another Halo I'd hope for it to be the Sticky Detonator... Though I'd tend to hope for all of them except for the pulse grenades. Also I think the Binary Rifle is worth mentioning. Halo 4 would not be the game it is if not for this one shot death machine.

Jetpack is arguably the best as it's a jack of all trades. I find that a good jetpack user can easily outplay someone that isn't using one by way of easily escaping or finding an spot that gives them the advantage.

My best is Ragnarok with a 1.39 K/D ratio (347 kills) but I definitely consider Haven to be my best map. It's probably watered down a little bit because I play so much Team Regicide. If you play Team Regicide with the sole purpose of slaying the other teams king then that can lead to a surplus of deaths. My Haven K/D is 0.96
