  1. This would be a cool idea. I always thought that it was funny when you'd EMP a charging ghost and it would come to a skidding stop right where you were standing and still get the splatter kill. In response to it not being in loadouts in H4 BTB: I think that this would be a proper solution. My only wish is that they still place many PPs in places that are safe from vehicles within a teams base. They are very important in breaking a vehicle spawn trap and they need to be easily an readily acsessible. Thanks for all responses and ideas so far.
  2. That's good to know that it won't be returning in a full blown form. My concern for map flow wasn't about getting to the power weapons quickly. It was simply that most maps have designated paths that the makers draw the player towards taking. While it always felt like a lot of choices there were relatively few. When they introduced the jetpack there instantly became 25-30 different route possibilities and it made the map flow chaoitic and somewhat non-existent. However this logic can easily apply to all the AA's in Halo Reach which were designed to draw out combat, and therefore slow down map flow. Just my opinion and nothing more.
  3. This is just something that I have been thinking about a lot in my head and am interested in sharing with these forums. In Halo Reach the plasma pistol was a commodity in the BTB playlist. For ground-pounders (anti-vehicle) like me... the Plasma Pistol was legitimately a power weapon that I searched out upon spawning. Now that 343 industries is introducing the plasma pistol directly out of spawn I feel that that will create a sort of unbalance in vehicular gameplay. Perhaps 343i got rid of the homing feature on it? This is but a minor concern for me.
  4. I yes that's true. I forgot that you can start with it at spawn now.
  5. Just as long as there is no jet-pack. Jet-packs destroyed map design and flow in Reach and for no reason would be brought back to Halo 4. I think that a small mini-emp would be kind of cool. You could use your armor ability when a warthog is zooming past you and disable it for a very short time. This would bring back some of the anti-vehicle capabilities of armor lock in a far more skillful form.
  6. The Dark Knight for sure. The acting of Heath Ledger was absolutely incredible. Plus I feel that the Joker was a more formidible foe that fit in the gotham universe a whole lot better than the others.

  13. Welcome to the forums
  14. ROFL @ the award idea. Trying to get that award would result in mass chaos spamming. I can't even imagine the sudden flooding of posts.
  15. Yes. I believe that some people get it earlier only because of time zone differences. Welcome to the site
  16. Were there still rebels after the Covenant War began. It seems like the arrival of the Covenant would create a sort of live together or die alone situation. The best comparison that I can think of would be emergence day in the Gears of War series. After the locust attacked the humans had no choice but to put aside their differences and combine their effort towards the goal of survival. Regardless i do not see fighting against humans to be a logical thing for the Halo franchise to add. With the Covenant and Prometheans you have different classes of enemies that react differently to different combat scenarios. They foster different skills and weaknesses. Fighting humans would feel like one big blur and not be as exciting. Although it would be pretty cool to face off against falcons in the campaign
  17. I do too, that's why I made sure that the clan I was joining was laid back and light on rules before joining. Your typical modern clan is a breeding ground for drama which I despise considering the purpose of video gaming for me is to have an enjoyable experience.
  18. They were encountered in Halo Wars actually. They served as some light enemy opposition on the maps neutral bases so that there would be a little challange in conquering and controlling a new base. Also in Halo reach they were worried about rebels in the first level "Winter Contingency." However they turned out to be farmers and not rebels. Nonetheless they are only added as small references on the sidelines of the major UNSC vs. Covenant war. They will most likely remain this way as the Covenant would be much more interesting to fight. Only way I can see us fighting humans is if they produce a spin-off game that seeks to pin-point the starting point in the franchises major conflict and provide a little more UNSC backstory.
  19. Wow thanks, for compiling all these newly revealed weapons in one post. I for one think that this should be pinned for future reference.
  20. Yeah, I'd say that this idea was a huge success. Sorry for making you keep working ( xD ) but I changed it away from small caps because some members had really outdated computers that didn't register the characters and my messages showed up as a bunch of rectangles.
  21. I think that the OP was referring to starting weapons. In other words the BR, DMR, Carbine, Assualt Rifle, and Storm Rifle. But you're right in that it looks very cool and new.
  22. Maybe they'll make Promethean weapons more powerful against Prometheans... just a thought. EDIT: 666 posts 0_o
  23. Yes but squads is more for teams of 4-5 soldiers in it. Perhaps it should be called a batillion (or a fleet for sanghelli clans).
  24. Micromanaging my friend, micromanaging.
  25. Actually it doesn't show that at all. To say that you can compare current statistics for Reach and Halo 3 and come to an accurate conclusion is pure wrongness (not a real word). I can tell you just by hearing word of mouth everywhere that the majority of people liked the gameplay of Halo 3 better than Halo Reach. I can show no statistics to support this, Its simply by far the most common opinion voiced on xbox live when playing Halo Reach.
