WOW. What an amazing idea. This is why I love these forums. This would be a great addition to the Halo franchise for many different reasons. Firstly, it is a realistic way to add a feature that makes people stop complaining about fall damage. Its simple physics, this is why they talk about knowing how to fall in sports sometimes. How you do it has a large effect on the damage that you sustain. Secondly, this would add a skill feature to the game. As long as it's not too easy to do this could be a fun and competetive feature in War Games. Liked for sure.

You could be on to something here John. It would certainly be a very interesting twist. 343industries bubbling up some emotion by making us kill Cortana. That also brings up a second point. Who would replace her.

Promethean Vision won't be in MLG. This has been confirmed by common sense. The others that many are talking about are debatable. Thruster pack could easily be put in and still would be balanced. Sprint isn't really and AA anymore if I'm correct. It's simply something that everybody always had. Hardlight shield won't be included for the same reasons as PV.

That would be really cool to build a map on the surface of a sphere and then use gravity zones to attract the players to it. I could see some epic maps being made just for this even though I'm fairly sure that the physics options would not allow it to be done right.

Welcome to the forums Our wonderful little corner of the internet. Also, you are correct. These forums are not nearly as bad as Bungie.net.

If they are to include the SMG in H4 as a primary weapon, which I assume they are in the form of the Assault Carbine, then they will need to vamp up the Damage quite a bit. If they don't then I can only see the SMG being brought back as a secondary.

This is a great and absolutely true post. This is why every time there is a game that I really enjoy I grab myself a collectors edition. They are much more satisfying to pop in the Xbox and mess around with the cool stuff they give you. (Yes I'm talking about you replica Plasma Cutter)

Very good discussion can happen around two polar opposite opinions... so long as they can be mature about it.

It would just be a hate filled thread where everybody who likes what they see in H4 lurks to counter what other people say. It would get nowhere and it would start arguments. However once Halo 4 is released it could potentially be done in a "What would you like to see changed about Halo 4" thype thread. "What don't you like about Halo 4" before the game is released is a recipie for disaster.

As a Green Member I enjoyed talking about many different topics in the shoutbox. I found myself enjoying the Halo 4 forums as a way to express my displeasure with the new customization features that had been confirmed. I was told not to tell bad jokes in the shoutbox. I just barely got to know some of the people who have developed into my friends now. As a Trusted Member I discovered a wonderful little part of this forum called Offbeat items. I enjoyed the casual threads present there such as the WYR thread and the Guess the user below thread. Also at this time we recieved an increased amount of Halo 4 threads as Halo 4 was shown at E3 2012. I found that my opinions had changed and I was in love with what I saw in the footage. I still enjoyed discussing all sorts of topics in the shoutbox and started to help new members out. However, my position in the ranks of the purple ends when this thread gets posted. As a Dedicated Member I hope to do more to help the Halo 4 and eventually Halo 5 subforums by posting my detailed opinions as well as give my response to other peoples ideas. I hope to take on a larger role in helping out newer members. I hope to get to know the people of this site better as friends. I look forward to a drama free shoutbox (threateningly towards a few). I look forward to my next 500 posts on this site. I look forward to my 1000 post milestone thread and my 2 thousand post thread. All of it would not have been possible without the dedicated members of this site. A short word on the staff: This site has a moderating staff as good as any other website on the face of the earth. Twam blessed us with the creation of this Halo fans haven. The mods, news, activities, communications, and art staff have kept it running at the highest standard possible. Thank you for making it all possible. A short word on the veterans: When mods weren't around to stop unnecessary drama in the shoutbox it was generally handled by people such as director, Mr. Bullet, and ZB. Without veteran members posting quality threads and replies this forum would be a much different place. They serve as the link to helping the newer members understand the site so that they could climb the ladder themselves. Thank you all for your help in making this website what it is. A short word on the new members: Without your new blood this forum would not have nearly the type of activity it does. Recently this site has had a ton of new members who have held an enormous standard to their posts and have contributed very generous ideas to this site.
