  1. I was intrigued by the prospect of 10 new weapons and am still trying to guess what the 2 new vehicles will be. But I was far more interested in some of the other things in that link.
  2. If they did do this then I think the arbiter armor would be a must. Like Mr. Bullet stated above... Keep these ideas in mind for Halo 5-6

  4. I would imagine that the promethians will sort of push the covenant to the side. Don't worry though you'll still get to fight them. It's just that the storyline will probably be more focused on the promethians.
  5. Hopefully this means we will be getting a hefty multiplayer with nothing held back. Great find SJ.
  6. Well both are for headshots. The difference is distance, firing rate, and damage. Depending on the player some might be able to overcome a lower stat in one area with pure skill. The answer to this question differs by player. For example, I consider myself to be a BR kind of player even though I love the DMR.
  7. What I hated about Halo Reach was how you could join a BTB match and be the only single person in there with a mic. When you do by some miracle of nature manage to find a mic... then its a little kid who plays trolololololo through his mic. XD I kid you not that happened to me a few days ago. The way that I see it it should attempt to get mostly all mics in a game and then you can mute the annoying ones. This should leave quite a few mature team oriented players to chat with.
  8. Wouldn't it be cool if in the new War Games for Halo 4 343 industries made a system that paired mics up with mics and non-mics up with non-mics. I always found it quite annyoing how I would join a BTB match and a total of one other person had a mic. Thoughts?
  9. They probably are the officials right now, with the exception of a few changes that they could yet decide to make. Either way they're probably not going to change much if at all. I've heard from somewhere in the forums that the announcer's voice was a placeholder though. Not sure if it was true or rumor.
  10. I do somewhat agree here. While I believe that map layout and design trumps aesthetics 99 times out of 100, It is annoying that all the forged maps from Halo Reach had the exact same look. Perhaps they could eliminate this problem by providing several different choosable skins and textures for objects. Instead of having a bland floating forerunner map... they could introduce a cool covenant purple style floating map. I completely agree with this statement 1000000%. My only problem with what was done in H3 and Halo Reaches take on this idea is that the standards were not nearly as high as they should have been. In order for a map to make it into this playlist it should have to be absolutely positively flawless. It should have to undergo many many hours of playtesting to make sure that it can pass the standards of your standard Halo gamer in all major catagories. I do agree that forged maps need to be present in War Games. But where and what they should be included in is the real question. Should they be found in standard Team Slayer and Big Team Battle. Or should they be found in seperate forge only playlists. My main problem with Reaches forged maps was that there was so many of them (Pinnicle, Paradiso, The Cage, Asylum, Hemophrage), and only a very small few of them I liked in any way shape or form. ~SweatyBagels~

  12. Bots may be able to aim faster and shoot quicker than any human in existence... but they don't have the decision making ability and ability to work as a team that humans will have. The problem with bots is that no matter how in depth the decision tree is it is still a system of branches unlike human thought process. In my opinion bots will never be a suitable replacement for humans in video games. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In response to Absolute Dog's comment above, He raised a very interesting point. The prospect of playing your forge maps against bots to test for flaws is a near perfect scenario. While I doubt this would be included in Halo 4 this should strongly be considered for later Halo games.

  14. I consider myself to be all pro originality when it comes to Halo 4 multiplayers maps. I love seeing new maps like Longbow and Wraparound. I am excited to see which maps from Halo 4 will be able to squeeze into the group of legendary maps from Halo's past. Which maps from Halo 4 will be compared with fantastic maps like Lockout, Midship, Blood Gulch, and The Pit. This prospect is one of my favorite parts of a new Matchmaking. However, this brings up an important point. What role should Forged maps play in War Games. Halo Reach shipped out with a bunch of forged maps right of the bat. The Cage, Pinnicle, Paradiso, and Hemophrage, to name a few. All of these maps had flaws in their own way and didn't live up to expectations. So what maps from Halo 4's Forge should be brought into War Games if at all. I myself believe that the only maps that have any place being included in MM are original maps or Forged remakes of only the select few elite multiplayer maps from Halo's past. Maps like lockout, not new map designs and layouts like paradiso should be forged and put into War Games. What are the thoughts of the 343 industries community forum on this subject? Are you guys fine with seeing Forge maps included in Matchmaking? How many are you okay with? If they include any remakes of old Halo maps which ones would you like to see included? -SweatyBagels-

  16. I think the answer to your question is that they are both very good. I think the lack of bloom and the increased firing speed are gonna make for a very useful gun. Does anybody know if it will be possible to put the carbine in your loadouts.
  17. The intro cutscene with the arbiter, the prophets, and tarturus is a great piece of writing too. The way it switches between the humans celebrating their victory and the coveneant overzealously punishing their defeat.
  18. I'm just curious about this. It's probably not necessary but wouldn't it be cool to revamp the ranking structure of some of the the new enemies. The Dideact being the obvious final rank.

  21. Way I see it this would be a great idea for the responsible Halo community. All the noobs and unresponsible people out there, however, would use this as a chance to troll people with **** maps and the likes. Also as Undead said, unless there's no cR/EXP awarded then it would be booster heaven.
