  1. added environmental objects idea and combined the last three into one single FX filter. Keep the good ideas coming.
  2. First things first I would like to assure you guys that this will take a different approach than the other pinned forge threads and such. On a specific forging website that I'm not going to advertise on this site we created a sandbox forging wishlist thread. In that thread we composed a massive list of wants and needs. We then sent it to Bungie in an email. Needless to say it had HUGE success. I kid you not in this thread before any details of sandbox were released we emailed the suggestion of FX filters, Kill balls, Golf Balls/holes, and a floating grid for air map forging. All of these ideas were implemented. So my suggestion to the 343 industries community would be to construct our own list for H4 and email it to 343 industries. I'll start with some of my ideas. Please keep the ideas possible. I've seen a lot of awesome suggestions during my days here (forge solar system) that simply aren't reasonably possible. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Less Restrictions on Objects What I mean by this is that I always found it to be quite annoying how you could only use a certain number of double walls for no good reason. Why not simply have a very large budget and allow the forger to to make a map out of 600 double walls if they want. This would require a slight tweak to the budgeting system but it would, in my opinion, be a massive improvement on the system they have implemented in previous Halo games. Additional Tools to Alter/Move Objects Wouldn't it be cool to be able to automatically snap an object to the exact same level as another object for perfectly flat floors. Imagine being able to go into your tools tab and hit a button that instantly moves the object up or down until it "collides" with another object or map geometry. Imagine being able to duplicate an object in place so as not to have to arrange every single aspect of it again just to get it perfectly lined up. Music Options Imagine being able to put in every single song from the halo soundtrack, ambient life soundtracks, and flood/infection type noises to really bring out the atmosphere of your map. Additional options that I think would be pretty cool are gunfire in the distance sounds, and mortar fire sounds. Furthermore you could choose to make it apply to the entire map or just an area that can be edited similar to hills and objective zones. Editable Skull Skulls I personally think that it would be epic to be able to add our own forge skulls into our maps. What I mean is you add a skull in and adjust the settings in the object properties panel. This would be cool because you could potentially do cool things such as give the player a power boost... but really it would just reward the player who enjoys going above and beyond to search the map. Imagine having entire maps dedicated to skull hunting. The best of which would be incredibly exstensive and large. Elephants Just something that I think should definatly be included as it works wonders for objective gametypes. Imagine this gametype. There are 4 elephants on a map and two belong to each team. One for each team has a flag on it. Each elephant also works as a safe zone (Which cancels out the kill zone covering the entire map) that goes out 20 feet in each direction. Also the vehicles on the elephants act as a safe zone. The goal is to capture the flag. I know this game is just off the top of my head and probably wouldn't work too well but just imagine the possibilities that elephants would add for the forging community. More Choice of Environmental Objects (Predalian5) What Is meant by this is that we believe that the forging community should be given a much larger choice of environmental objects than just the rocks in Reach. Allow us to add trees of varying different shapes and sizes, allow us to add a large mountain or mound for us to use as the foundation for our maps. The variety of objects that could be included is endless. Weather/Time/Sky Color FX Filter (Predalian5) Wouldn't it be cool to go into your forge map and be able to edit every aspect of the worlds setting with a single FX filter. If you want to make a spooky infection map, then you just change the time setting to night and change the weather setting to violent storm (or something similar). Furthermore imagine being able to slightly alter the hue of the sky and create beautiful skylines. If this FX filter was included, then no two forge maps would ever seem the same. Joining Objects Together (The Ninja) This is a very good idea. Imagine the simplicity of being able to assign objects to a group the same way you do with channels for teleporters. Then you could edit an entire sniper tower up a few feet instead of having to mess up and replace every single item a few feet higher than the original. This could be used to save valuable time in forging. Middle Ground for Objects (The Ninja) Another very good point by The Ninja is that reach had the relatively small 5x5 flat block and the coliseum wall with almost no middle ground. When making floors the coliseum wall tended to be a little overkill, while the 5x5 block could take a long time to forge and wasted objects in the building blocks section that could otherwise have been put to good use. Ability to Lock Vehicles/Weapons (The Ninja) It would be cool and useful if forgers had the ability to lock vehicles and weapons to a certain team. This would make it so that forgers could create a larger and more exciting variety of maps and game-types. Maybe this could be handled via a checklist in the object properties panel. Better Canvases (ElitelSnlp3r) In Past Halo's the canvases have been good but they could have been better. What would be really cool is a massive skybox type building area with nothing else in it except air and a grid. The collesium was nice in Halo Reach, but wouldn't it be nice to have a very very large outdoor flat surface to work on? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please try to post ideas in a similar if not the same format. Thank you.
  3. First thing I'll do immediatly after buying H4 is a heroic run through the campaign. Not a quick run either... A long playthrough taking in every minute detail.
  4. WOW those were some very nice plays. If I ever got a killionare with the sniper like that bricks would probably literally fall out of my a**. Very good video, yet again.
  5. http://freerice.com/content-group/343industries-community-forum Finally got 20000 grains of rice. Took forever but my vocabulary is definatly improved because of it.
  6. Aim for the head. In all seriousness... Try out bumper jumper for what could be an immediate improvement. Don't stay in one place for long. Try not to go into large open spaces. Stay away from the lifts on sword base. That's all I remember. I used to be good at it but haven't played it in forever.
  7. I found that if you can appreciate the writing and storyline of Halo then you will be able to enjoy it that much more. The first and second game were works of writing genius. The foes were formidible, the quotes was interesting and provided much comic relief, and it varied the gameplay experience up with fun little scenarios that flowed well. It never really felt like a CoD type game where thye set up some little gimmick and based a level around it. They designed a level and story and built the gameplay up around it.
  8. Why would it be against the rules. This was a good post.
  9. "Which of the Halo 2 campaign levels reached the lowest level of epic awesume perfectionism" There I fixed the title for you. And for me it was The Arbiter. It was a close call between The Arbiter and The Oracle, but Arbiter wins out because I enjoyed the flood, banshee chase, and boss battle of oracle more.
  10. I don't care what the consequences are for map flow and such... I want them back. I'm sure others share my love for superbounces in H2 the same way that I do. Some of my fondest memories of the ENTIRE Halo franchise have been superbouncing with my friends on ascension. I would absolutely love the nostalgia of being able to do it again. It would make my day if they could just bring them back.
  11. Rofl. I'm going to try that. "Babe I'm going to be ignoring you these nest couple of weeks to play video games, I hope that you can understand"
  12. well theres confirmed only to be two new vehicles. I'd say a pelican is somewhat likely choice with the second being that giant steamroller thing.
  13. The pit. A perfectly designed map.
  14. I think that there is a serious technical error... That scope is a rectangular prisim!!! In all seriousness I love every aspect of it. The sound is more refined, the aesthetics are refreshing, the damage looks decent and balanced... and lets be honest here... It is the BR... That we know and love from H2... Is there anybody on this site that wouldn't love it.
  15. One time on BTB heavies I was going 112-0 and had 12 exterminations and one killionare all with the plasma pistol. Then I accidentilly betrayed someone as I was trying to finally get my 15 sticky spree and I accidentilly missed my opponent by one inch trying to throw the grenade from one side of hemorage to the other and instead my idiot teammate drove a mongoose into it and it said I betrayed him. He booted me with no thought whatsoever and I lost the video of that game. It sucked... that was like my fifth best game ever.
  16. Gamesager's account I just want to drop this here. Over 500 unfrigginbelieveables in the banshee. 70 banshee kills an hour and a k/d ratio of 190 in the banshee. When you go up against people like this they kill you before you can do any real damage with the DMR.
  17. Skill to me is the ability for the player to put themselves in a position where they can't lose and only can win. But I believe that twilight said it perfectly in an earlier post.
  18. very good video. Number 1 was pretty amazing. I think that if I ever got a killtrocity with that many no-scope/quick-scopes in it I would cum all over my pants and fall asleep. Just saying.
  19. Well we all know that the Reach banshee bomb was way OP. Good pilots on decent teams could get an untouchable almost every time they touched it. U'm curious as to whether 343 industries has made any comment on this feature? If not what does the community think should be changed for balancing issues? Personally I think that the way to go is by removing the homing feature. If somebody is talented in the banshee let them prove it by leading their shots. Also I believe that the kill radius should be maybe 70% of what it is right now.
  20. :0 How so... it excelled over the regular sniper in every single way.
  21. Scorpion is far, far better no doubt. I like the Wraith better though. Its more of a skillful vehicle and it belongs in MM while the Scorpion does not.
  22. Clan recruitment subforum is here. (http://www.343indust...ng-advertising/) Welcome to the site TLP Zues!!!
  23. Probably a mario game on a gameboy. (I don't remember) My first real man game was Halo: CE.
