Lemme put it this way. I am a milwaukee Bucks fan. But when they traded away Ray Allen, Glen Robinson, and Sam Cassell it was really hard to recognize the bucks as the bucks for a while. All they had was the name. the same might go for halo 4. Ill always be a Halo fan, even though it might take on a new face. I was also very much against the trades the bucks made, and i criticized for it. (i know this was years ago but w/e lolz)

think of Halo 4 as not a HALO game? thats what i was afraid of. no halo fan could want this

no killcam: you get a kill, and the only view the dead guy has is a movable camera around his broken corpse. he can see the general direction of where you are but does not know the angles/ shooting lanes/ ambush spot that you killed him from. You can keep playing your strategy until he wises up, which probably wont be until you kill him a few more times. killcam: you kill a guy, he watches the killcam and sees you sniping in a corner(a viable strategy). he now knows your blindspots, shooting lanes, strategy, (and possible everything you see on your own HUD i.e ammo, armor abilities, health. and what do you know, you get killed by his "no respawn time grenade throw" to the exact spot you are sniping. your strategy is ruined. there is now no reason for learning the game or the right spots on the map because everyone else has done it for you. YAY every 12 year old can breath now because Halo 4 has an "easy button now"

are you being serious? Adding killcams is just another noob friendly device so that people that have been playing and mastered level strategies and techniques will lose there secrets too any noob that gets killed by them and watches the kill cam. I feel that if you played halo you would understand how killcams will change Halo, and the skill level it takes to be good at it. double facepalm

I am in no way mad. But dont you feel like your voice and opinion is important? This is a forum, where we discuss video games. I am giving feedback on the footage i have seen and what I think is good and bad I believe i said killstreaks would be a deal breaker. other than that i plan on buying it no matter what. And I am all for change in Halo, but if this change just makes it another COD clone i will be a little disgruntled.

yeah and i think it is dumb in cod too. its no fun when you kill someone and then, oh hey, a grenade from them kills you the next 2 seconds because they know exactly where you are this all halo needs is a view from your dead bodies position to swivel around and look. killcams are just going to make people lazy and ruin people that strive off of being hidden. are you trolling? you want to be able to watch what the other team is doing while you play?

I'm not worried about it being bad. I'm worried that we won't recognize this as HALO. That's what the after game films in the theater are for. you dont need people figuring out your strategy during the actual game. And if all they are doing is trying to get rid of camping...really? because it is so hard to kill a camper?

i am a true fan. that is why i care about the changes that appear to be in the making for this next installment. True fans aren't aloud to scrutinize? to try to influence the developers in what little ways they can? Since when?

I mean no offense to 343i, i applaud the hard work they seem to be putting into Halo 4. But i feel that they are missing something that many halo fans would agree on. HALO is not just the name of a video game. HALO is basically almost its own genre of shooter. HALO is HALO. When you slap the name HALO onto a disc case and ship it out, people are going to be expecting Halo 4 to be HALO. HALO is not a game with bits and pieces of other games easily spotted out. It is a core game that is based on skill and simplicity yet variable enough to keep you playing. Sure, every Halo game has made little changes to guns, armor customization and gametypes. but some of the core things like no killcams, weapon pickups and starting weapons have always stayed constant. Elements like these are what make every Halo game HALO. I fear that with all these "taboo" changes being made to Halo 4, many gamers (such as myself) will not be able to call Halo 4 "HALO". I'm not trying to bash 343i. I think the images and small clips I have seen so far are beautiful. But I feel it is my duty as a HALO fan as well as a potential Halo 4 customer to speak my interests and opinions. I know alot of people just want to let 343i be and do their thing. but they will be making bountiful amounts of money off of this game, so the gamers should make sure it is made to their standards as well. I plan on purchasing Halo 4 most likely no matter what. the killcams kind of peeve me. and if they implement kill streak rewards like airstikes i think that would be a deal breaker.

I'm really hoping halo fans pick the right choice here. It shouldn't be too hard of an answer for real Halo fans
-
how is this irrelevant? Halo is Halo for a reason. and now its bringing in things to be more like other games. i dont want it to be like other games. i want it to be Halo. and i feel the 343i wants to know what people think about the new things they plan on implementing in halo 4.
-
im still planning on pre ordering the game. but these are the things i do not want in halo 4. seeing as how there is a thread about what people do want. i wonder if they asked the community if they wanted unockable weapons
-
i feel like armor customization is enough reason to want to rank up
-
not against sprint. my biggest peeve right now is hearing that they may make weapons and armor abilities unlockable. everyone should have equal advantage and gameplay should be based on skill. not how much you can boost to unlock stuff. im all for sprinting though. i mean, super soldiers should be able to sprint
-
i do not want this game to base its multiplayer off of other games such as COD, or Battlefield, or gears, or any other game. i want Halo to be halo. anyone with me? i do not want unlockable weapons, unlockable armor abilities, ect. Nothing that affects the outcome of a game should be unlockable. everyone should have the same advantages and the game should be based on skill. that is what has made halo the game that it is. please 343, take into consideration all of the halo fans that share my stance and see what we really want. Halo needs to stick to its roots. not try to mimic every gimmick from other popular games to win over COD fanboys. to be honest, id rather we try to keep cod fanboys out of the halo scene. another thing i do not want is forunner vision. sure it is supposed to stop camping. but guess what? campers can use it too, and see where everyone is coming from. it will cause more camping than it will deter

From what i have seen so far, the new spartan helmets look like a down grade rather than an upgrade. I know it's not a word, but the new helmets do not look "spartany". Now, i know that nothing is set in stone yet, and 343i could have other helmet models up their sleeve. I do not even know what level of customization will be available. Will old helmet styles available? or are they all going out the window? Anyways, here is my idea. * 343i give the community 3 to 5 helmet options to choose from, we vote on it, and whatever helmet gets the most votes is what the spartan IVs are standard equipped with. I just am not too visually satisfied with the helmets we have been shown so far. hopefully the armor customization is at least just as vast as Reach if not more. I know this is not halo reach, but the spartan IVs just do not look like spartans to me.

I would like to see dual wielding come back with weapons such as the SMG and magnums from halo 2. Im also not digging the default spartan II helmets. visors are a little funky looking, they could be wider. its supposed to be an upgrade to the armor so why have smaller visors? right? not sure if they are getting rid of any gametypes but just because its a different agenda for the red vs blue team thing thye can still keep games like infection and rumble pit. those game types are what make halo MP better than other games. I also think Masterchief's helmet looks too much like a BMX helmet now. i liked the old shape more
