Halo Quick Tips is a fast and easy thread I'll make pretty commonly with easy tips to help you win a game. They aren't detailed or amazingly overdone and just simple enough to help you out. Inspired by Mr. Biggles "How to become a better Halo player." 1. MAKE IT BEEP! Plasma is great at eliminating shields, but doesn't do to well against health. This makes it great to be paired with a DMR or Assault Rifle. This combo can eliminate enemies quickly. Heed this advice. Common plasma weapons are rifles and repeaters. A plasma pistol, when overcharged, can immediately eliminate a shield. 2. LONGSHOT COLLATERAL! UNSC Snipers are AMAZING at both long range elimination and vehicle destruction. I'm not going to explain the long-range part (because they're snipers) but when you shoot any vehicles in their weak spots you can kill them quickly. A scorpion can be destroyed with a few clips. Note that Focus Rifles DO NOT destroy vehicles. 3. POP GOES THE WEASEL! Plasma pistols and grenade launchers are both special. Not only can plasma pistols destroy shields, but stun a vehicle. Also, a charged grenade launcher can stun and stop a vehicle in its tracks. They're both very helpful for that reason. BONUS TIP: Grenade launchers can also completely eradicate shields when charged. Inspired by Mr. Biggles "How to become a better Halo player." Fast n' easy tips that'll guide you with weapons in the field. 1. THERE ARE MANY LIKE IT! But this DMR is yours! DMRs are precision weapons great for headshotting and reducing one's armor. Their shots can go far (even though they aren't snipers) and don't take a major amount of practice to use. It is a default weapon in many games and can help you lots. 2. PINK EXPLOSIONS! Needlers and Needle Rifles are very helpful against infantry. Enough ammo fired into an enemy will cause a combine explosion killing the enemy instantly. Even more helpful is the needler needles will track enemies to a degree if fired close enough to the reticule. 3. KABOOM! Mentioned in my previous quick tips thread, heavy weapons are good for infantry and vehicles. One weapon that stands out here is a Spartan Laser. It is the only heavy weapon that can easily take down aircraft. It is also a good ground vehicle killer. A good infantry/tank killer is the rocket launcher. Well, honestly, I don't know, Bulletstorm. I'm just sort of mad. More or less at bungie. I know their contract expired and all but I just wish they could've renewed it or something. So it's nice to take my anger out on 343. I just want Bungie making Halo (even though it's a 343 forum).

Halo Wars. And hunters are used for biomass. There are "Infected Hunters" in Halo Wars, as they are called. Same with "Infected Grunts" and "Infected Jackals".

An easy way to get the Nether Portal achievement is to find a friend that has one in his game. He mines one piece of obsidian out and you get it. Place it back in and then light it on fire. Congratulations, a 40G achievement made easy.

Took me 2 f****** hours to get! It's ridicoulously hard. However, if you do it in Co-Op, you can glitch the spawning. Look it up on youtube.

At the start of the war, all creatures would become infected equally. Later on though, the flood stopped using grunts and jackals as soldiers due to their smaller size and instead used them as carriers. Hunters and drones on the otherhand were too clueless and difficult for the flood to control and used their biomass to form Proto-Graveminds and Graveminds.
