Season One is the only free season. Sorry. From what I understand, the LE will not be receiving any other seasons free. Smile, at least they have been gracious enough to give everyone, regardless of what edition they have bought, a full season for free.

Honestly, I don't care either way. I find it fun to betray my friends from time to time when it's just a split screen match. Other than that, I really don't care.

I'm going to assume the Chief does not die in Halo 4, since there are to be two more games after it. If he does die in 4, then I'm done with Halo. No way can you have the main protagonist, the icon for the entire series, die in the beginning of the new trilogy, and then expect the following two games to be worthwhile. I'm sorry. Halo without Master Chief is just a spin off (although I did enjoy ODST and Reach).

I refuse to watch leaked footage of the game. I'm doing my best to go into it as spoiler free as I possibly can. I wasn't old enough to play the first game in the first trilogy on release. But, I am old enough for this new one, and I intend to make it the best gaming experience I have ever had!

I am sorry for your friend. However, it's on you because you took the risk by playing the game before it's scheduled release. Microsoft has been cracking down on people doing that, unless it is being done for review purposes. The reason for this is because Halo 4 was leaked and people have been playing pirated copies of the game. As stated above, all you can do is take legal action against the store in which you bought it from, or at least report them to Microsoft. They are not legally allowed to sell Halo 4 before it's release date. Mistake or not, you need to report them before they sell more copies to unsuspecting gamers who could, in turn, become banned for playing it early. You should also check with customer support and see if it's just your account that got banned, or if it's your entire Xbox 360 console that was banned as well. If it's just the account, then you can make a new Xbox Live account. Granted, you'll have purchase Gold again. But it's worth it if you can do that.

Said it before, I'll say it again. If there isn't any change at all, then we'd just be playing the same old game over and over again. That would be extremely boring after awhile. To say that, because Halo 4 has changed so much, the entire Halo series is doomed is just false. It's a new game, which is marking the beginning of a whole new trilogy. Ya, if there wasn't any real major changes in this game from the last few, I wouldn't want to play it. There would be very little to set this game apart from all the past Halo titles. And Halo 4 needs to be apart from those. It is not a continuation of a trilogy, it's the start of a new trilogy.

Brutes in Halo 4? Spartans in a Forerunner Dyson Sphere?
realitykid replied to o MERCiLiSS's topic in Halo 4
Well, for now, let us be happy with the Prometheans. Those, mixed with the Covenant, will provide all the enemies we need in 4. -
True. And everyone will play it at their own pace.

This game better not be abnormally short for a Halo game! As long as it is fun, has a good story, and lasts long enough, then I'm fine. But, yes, Spartan Ops will definitely add to the games longevity. That is one aspect I cannot wait for! NOVEMBER 6th! WHERE ART THOUGH!

They made a different case was all. And with the new drives, the 360 S uses the SATA connectors on the hard drive. All you need to do is take the old hard drives from the old Xbox 360s from their case and just slide it into the hard drive bay on the new 360s until it pops in. That's what I did with a 60GB drive. Although, now that I actually have a job, I might get a 250GB drive when I can.

That isn't a bad thing for me. Helps me to get into it and it could very well even out things out so everyone has a fair shot in a match. The old Halos it was "if you're good, you'll win. If not, you'll always lose." However, I also think they need to insure they do not alienate the players who really do have skills that they'd like to show off in a match.
-
They better not try shipping mine out early. I need to make sure I have money on my card, and I don't get paid until tomorrow. After that, they can ship it to me whenever, as long as I have it on release day.
-
I honestly prefer progression. Skill couldn't matter less to me. As long as everyone is having fun, I don't care. However, not everyone is going to have fun. You can't please the whole world. And many of those who don't enjoy Halo 4 will attempt to ruin it for the rest of us by saying the game caters to noobs. In my opinion, I think they are trying to level it out and make it even. The old Halo games catered strictly to the good players. I remember that that kept me from getting into it because I could never get good at the game by getting killed all the time and never winning a match.
-
I honestly don't see the problem with classes. I think that the multiplayer will still be an awesome experience in Halo 4. I know I'll enjoy it! Can't wait!

It should look stunning on any HD display. From the gameplay footage that I've seen on Waypoint channel on YouTube, I must confess that I am impressed by it. Crysis 2 status visuals in my mind.

Thanks for this!

I think you misunderstood my statement. I was not flaming you. I apologize if I came off that way. I'm just giving you my point of view is all. Besides, you also need to consider manufacturing costs. Pressing those discs does cost money. They need to be able to have enough to spend to manufacture, advertise, and send out enough of the product to meat demands. They also need to be able to make that back, and still make a profit off of it. Also need to consider that a percentage of the copies might not sell (which is doubtful). When we buy the game, we are also paying a certain percentage of that cost.
-
Everyone is about their money these days. Do you think the developers at 343 don't need to eat or support families? That's one of the biggest reasons why they develop games in the first place. Besides, as Tallgeese said, the overall value of that bundle is a bit higher than what they are selling it for. In reality, they are helping people save money.

Working a minimum wage job and looking at the LE, I cannot justify spending $100 on it. I'll tell you how I show my support instead, since I'm not able to spend that much all at once. In my life, I have only preordered two games. These two games are Halo: Anniversary and Halo 4. Usually, I won't buy a game when it first comes out. Instead, I will wait until the price drops or I can find it used on Amazon or at a local video game store for a good price. So, by preordering both games, and being willing to pay the full retail price for them, I am showing my support. Most video games are not worth it to me. Halo has always been that exception from the first day I played it.

Halo 3 (and possible wars and reach?) port to PC?
realitykid replied to jimmyyaesu's topic in Halo 3 + ODST
I think the main reason why Halo 3, and every other Halo game after it, never will be on the PC is because then there might be less purchases of their Xbox consoles. Halo already has a large fanbase. So, if Microsoft makes the Halo titles exclusive to their consoles, not only are they making money off of each individual who buys the game, but also off each individual who buys the console just so they can play the new Halo. If they were to port it to PC, sure they'd sell plenty of copies and make tons of money. But, they would sell less of their consoles. -
Work my @$$ off most of the week at McDonald's so I can make up for the money I spent to preorder this game. Certainly cannot wait for it to release!!!! So close!!!! Gunna try to get the 6th off so I can play Halo 4 all day. Might even just call in sick.

At his core, he is still human. Sure he has been enhanced and is now a cyborg, but he is still human. That's part of the point to the new trilogy, exploring the Chief's humanity. At least, I think that's what 343 was talking about in one of their videos.
-
I don't see the point in buying the Limited edition at that kind of a price. $100? I love Halo, but not that much. I can use the extra $40 out of the $100 after buying the game for something else more important.
