  1. I found the Anniversary maps to be pretty fun in my opinion. I think it was a good idea. However, having the original multiplayer would have been a nice touch, and even icing on the cake for a lot of fans. But, I bought it for the campaign primarily, and I was glad to see that 343 did a faithful rendition of Halo CE.
  2. I agree that the scope of Promethean Vision should be limited. Also, ordinances should not drop overshields. That's like giving the good players all the goodies and hanging the new guys out to dry. In my opinion, the ones who should get overshields are the players who aren't doing too good that round so that way they have a fighting chance. Other than that, I think the game is fine how it is. I don't think 343 is going to change much though.
  3. Either it's Russian and says "Formidable B cathode salad". Or it's Bulgarian and says "Ugly as a salad"
  4. *hands over pink shotgun* Here ya go!
  5. The perfect display of ignorance. So you're judging Halo 4 on nothing but it's multiplayer? Hello? It's Halo 4 because it continues after Halo 3 in the campaign. And no, it's not Halo multiplayer, it's Halo 4 multiplayer. There should be a different now that we are six games in thus far.
  6. The majority of "original" Halo gamers are far outweighed by the "current" Halo gamers who are eager to embrace change when the time calls for it. Seriously, if you don't like Halo 4, then don't buy it.
  7. So you're saying that what you think is fact, and that anyone who disagrees with you is wrong? Sounds like another person with a superiority complex to me. Right now, you're just blowing smoke out from where the sun don't shine. Same with you XBLuke. I don't know what makes you think what you said is insulting.
  8. Guys, arguing about it isn't going to solve anything, and it sure as heck isn't going to change 343s direction with Halo 4. No matter what anyone thinks, Halo 4 will come out the way 343 thinks it should. We're just along for the ride at this point. They won't just overhaul what they have and start from scratch again to please the minority.
  9. Last I checked this isn't Reach, it's Halo 4. Not because it says it's Halo 4, but because it follows the events of Halo 3. The campaign is going to be different from Reach, and the multiplayer may have similarities to Reach, but it definitly has a few changes and addition that Reach doesn't have.
  10. I like that it plays music during the last minute! Watch http://tv.majorleagu...oaxer-on-adrift Something I don't like is that a little past 2:52, the player gets an "ordinance" which seems to contain, not only a BR, but also an overshield. I don't mind ordinances dropping weapons and ammo. But overshields? That is definitely unfair. And again a little after 6:24.
  11. Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.
  12. I didn't expect anyone to take it seriously. lol. But it is a possibility, although a very unlikely one.
  13. Well who wouldn't enjoy the scattershot? Of course, it does remind me of a forerunner version of the shotgun.
  14. Um, excuse me. Don't come here and start throwing insults at me when I am trying to figure this out. I don't want to read the books. I was just doing simple Google searches and was beginning to agree with you. Goodness man, watch your tone. And as I was beginning to get at, this isn't the original 343 Guilty Spark, but a duplicate since 343 was destroyed on Installation 04B.
  15. "Guilty Spark was once the human Chakas before the Forerunners had the composer place his mind into a construct." - http://halo.wikia.co...43_Guilty_Spark According to the above article, 343 Guilty Spark spent time as the human Chakas before he became the monitor. Guilty Spark was clearly destroyed in Halo 3. Of course, the following would explain your theory to a point. "Back at present day, the ONI researchers reluctantly accept that the monitor telling the story is actually a fragment or duplicate of 343 Guilty Spark..." - http://www.halopedian.com/Halo:_Primordium However, did the book mention the UNSC Infinity by name? If not, then there is no sure fire way of knowing that it is the Infinity being mentioned in the book.
  16. I think this thread has outlived its usefulness at this point. Nothing more than a bunch of rambalings. Unless someone actually wants to submit a legitimate concern and not just cry about it like an annoying Japanese and/or American school girl on her menstrual cycle (not to be confused with racism as I actually like Japanese people, just not when they squeal in my ear).
  17. What if Chief isn't a playable character at all in co-op?
  18. Accidental double post and I can't figure out how to delete it. I apologize.
  19. Could you do us all a favor and not put ALL of the letters in your posts in caps please. It makes it hard to read when everything is in caps. And I know I'm not a moderator, I'm just asking politely if you could tone it down a bit. Thanks. I don't think that 343 is trying to copy COD. I think they are borrowing some aspects of COD and using them in Halo 4. But, in my mind, that is part of what is helping Halo evolve in its multiplayer aspect. I understand simplicity is wanted, and sometimes even needed. But I fully believe that this multiplayer experience will be one of the best yet. However, I could be wrong. If you or anyone else decides that the Halo 4 multiplayer, then Halo 3 is still there. However, I wouldn't toss this game just based on its multiplayer alone. If the campaign is at least good, then it's worth holding onto. I mean, that's really the only reason why I like Halo. Its campaigns are almost always awesome and made me play all of the Halo games except ODST (haven't gotten a chance yet). I even enjoyed Reach. But the multiplayer just didn't do it for me. So I think some of these additions might help me get into the multiplayer as long as it doesn't become a COD clone (I already have, and enjoy, MW2 so I don't need another COD experience). To be entirely accurate, all first person shooters came around as a result of Wolfenstein 3D, which eventually led to Doom, which popularized the first person shooter genre. All first person shooters can be traced back to those two games. Halo just made the genre popular on the console.
  20. I'm not limited on tech knowledge, and yet I bought a 4GB model last year. For awhile, that's all I needed because all I was doing was saving games. I didn't get a hard drive until I got Fallout 3 and my friend offered to let me download the DLC from his special edition copy. The only other DLC I have ever downloaded was for Fallout New Vegas and the preorder bonuses for Halo Anniversary. Oh and I also got Resident Evil 4 since I didn't have another copy of it. Some casual gamers only need 4GB as they don't download DLC. I'm not saying it fits everyone. But, for the price, I think it's pretty fair since that's the reason why I was able to get a 360 with Xbox Live and a video game for it to begin with.
  21. "The UNSC "Infinity", Hijacked by Guilty Spark a few years after the war who claims to know where the librarian is Crash lands on Requiem" I hope you realize that Guilty Spark was destroyed in Halo 3. So I don't see how he could have hijacked the UNSC Infinity after the events of Halo 3.
  22. They do look kinda funny, you're right. However, I think its nice to finally see what a grunt looks like without its face mask.
  23. Oh goodness. Ya, I completely forgot about that. I don't own Halo 3 or Reach, and never played ODST, so I can't even remember. Thanks for setting me straight. I'm still happy to see my old friend in Halo 4 all the same.
  24. I'm just glad to have the assault rifle back, finally!!! Don't remember seeing that in any other Halo game except CE.
