  1. I don't know what game you were playing, in Halo CE they had a ridiculous amount of health and they always revived no matter what. With the information we got in Silentium I think they could make a comeback, and maybe go beyond the flood.
  2. Yeah, that isn't exactly engaging, however, it is pretty easy to see the difference of the two. As for credibility it is just whether to trust or believe what is being said, why should I believe what someone is saying when they throw their attitude and insults in it? As for the topic they obviously need to change it from what it is now. But I'm pretty sure there aren't studies suggesting that millions of people really want the Halo 3 way back. I don't frequent waypoint often but on this forum it seemed to be split 50/50 about which way they liked it. Sounds more like a compromise is needed than reverting to a system that is 7 years old. Because it might seem nice on paper but when there are 10 other fps games offering varying experiences who knows. Only thing they need to bring back for me is the theme song.
  3. Why assume that I am defending him? It's mostly the insults anyways, attitude is second. Imagine two guys having an argument both being arrogant, but one giving the other the middle finger after each point they make. How many arguments has derogatory language won on the internet? Twice...twice...what is insulting the guy going to gain you and how is it going to make him believe what you are saying? Do you think the insults are going to be what will persuade him to see your viewpoint? Genuine question, what was your thought process when typing each of these sentences?
  4. Looks like you ruined the credibility of your entire argument.
  5. I like how the conversation is about what spoiler means, opposed to there possibly being a Halo movie... Anyways I think it would be cool to do a movie on Harvest with the first encounter of the Covenant. Or any one of the smaller missions Master Chief went on before Reach. I imagine it will have Master Chief in it though just to be recognizable and relevant.
  6. He means in multiplayer I believe. Besides the 7 or so people here and on Waypoint I don't see the demand, so I think their return is questionable.
  7. I will buy it (to collect it), and won't be able to play it for another four years as that is probably when I will get an Xbox One.
  8. That's not a screenshot, just a picture made on photoshop or something. Anyways somethings I noticed. Near those few people walking there is an 'Open TO GO' sign and a 'BOLD OPEN' sign. (don't know if it is bold, gold, or sold) At the end of the curvy building there is a down arrow that says change. Those guys are walking near some type of scrap looking building. Gives me a feeling that this is some base with nothing really happening, like a hub of sorts. Wonder if it will be like a central location in an 'open world' setting. And by that I mean that base is open world, then there are several small open world locations you can get to from there.
  9. The future of Halo isn't going to rely on games alone seeing as they are making a TV show and a movie.
  10. Halo 5 was in pre-production while Halo 4 was in production, so it has been longer than 18 months. Anyways, my belief is why would they hold out on the 5 if it is Halo 5. The E3 thing to me was more of a 'surprise its Halo' kind of deal than a Halo 5 trailer.
  11. I'm actually starting to wonder if it is Halo 5 or not. They didn't confirm Halo 5, just Halo for Xbox One would come out. Given that they haven't taken to calling it Halo 5 yet when just about every one has almost suggests to me that 343 will try to surprise us at E3 this year. Maybe Halo 2 anniversary or some spin-off will launch for the Xbox One. I feel that Halo 2 anniversary would be the biggest publicity stunt they could make right now, especially if it includes multiplayer.
  12. I don't, but that is because I never really liked any Halo matchmaking, and I have about 30 other games to play. Curse you Steam sale.
  13. It is Sarah Palmer, and it is the most expensive one. Amazon would be the best bet. I order the Chief yesterday and fortunately there was a damaged box deal so it was $15 off, I don't use the boxes so good for me. http://www.amazon.com/Square-Enix-Palmer-Spartan-Action-Figure/dp/B00AH7ZATM/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1388417492&sr=1-1&keywords=sarah+palmer It is $69.99 with $9.95 shipping. Ebay might be a good choice too.
  14. Games tend to have hiccups when they switch from one company to another, and the Halo community is easily one of the most stubborn group of people I have ever seen or seen talked about. I feel that no matter what they did it would have gotten the same attention from the community. The first three Halo's were 'lucky' to be released when they did. The first one was right in the time when FPS were getting wildly popular. Honestly the first one was a lot of running and gunning a solid story, but not a lot of substance. Then Halo 2 came out, that sort of jump started the online play and FPS were wildly popular so that was the go to game. It had a confusing and rushed campaign, without Halo 3 it is a pretty terrible story, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt as they probably had Halo 3 planned. With Halo 3 Bungie sort of just manipulated the hype really well. In all honesty none of the games have been 'that good' in any regard. Now with Halo 4 they had quite a dilemma, they were making a FPS in a market where those games are on the decline, losing popularity, they had the community to work with, and it was an entirely new company making a popular game for the series. Given the circumstances I think they did pretty good, not great though. I think they have gotten to the point that if they want to continue the franchise they need to expand into other markets, and that is exactly what they're doing. A TV show is coming out and the book series are going strong. WIthout these things it will die as a series.
  15. I won't be surprised if she is an antagonist. What I imagine is that near the end Chief will end up killing her, realizing that saving humanity, or whoever is in danger is more important than his feelings towards Cortana. Now this would be the main plot of Halo 5, and some sub-plot happening in the background with the Didact would grow into a tremendous threat that would be the plot for Halo 6. The events that happened with Halsey would however knock Chief back in action.
  16. That would be cool, especially if I could make it. I'm trying my hand at a small diorama. I had a busted up Active Camo spec ops elite who I painted, and he is impaling some Spartan with his sword.
  17. So what figures, if any, do you have from the Halo series? Is it a collection or just a few of them. Do you only have McFarlane figures, or have you been collecting them long enough to have those awful Joyride figures, or do you even have some of those cool play arts figures. Also McFarlanes Toys has a lot of unmade characters from the universe, I'm going to assume that they will make a good share of Halo 4 figures in the future, but what about previous games and other media? I didn't include a multiple choice poll to avoid people just clicking all of the choices. I think that I have 42 or 43 figures right now, the Promethean Knight and the Didact are probably the best looking. I am trying to find a good display shelf for them. I also want to try and get a couple of the play arts figures seen below.
  18. Maybe because everyone was limited to the same loadouts, but the small variety still showed in matchmaking.
  19. It's not a trailer, it is a teaser. For past Halo games they have hid a lot of information into just a minute of video. Of course they sometimes twist what actually happens, but you can still make a decent guess about what is happening. Going off other evidence about war sphinxes, I don't believe it is a war sphinx. There is a description of one in Cryptum, and concept art of one from Halo 4, neither of which are described as being hundreds of feet tall. The size strikes me as a sign of importance. There was a picture some time ago that showed that the landscape was very similar to the ark from Halo 3. Now if the forerunner thing is important and it is on the ark I think that the owl thing is Mendicant Bias' 'shell' or its protection. If the thing is supposed to be an owl, then it is most likely done on purpose, possibly representing wisdom. Just for comparison
  20. I believe that the Xbox One is selling quite similarly to the PS4, just not as high.
  21. Make it like Halo 2/3. That way those people will get what they want, and everyone else will proceed to not care very much. I won't be surprised if it is in Halo 5. Halo 4 already had some unsolvable technical problems with the multiplayer, I don't think having an entire ranking system that determined who played who would have helped much.
  22. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Halo-Xbox-One/24292553 $59.96
  23. Dumb down the multiplayer to Halo 2 level. Improve the campaign vastly, with at least 20 hours of solid story. Basically make the story play out like Bioshock or something similar, however making it an open world game would probably do more harm than good seeing as there needs to be a sense of urgency.
  24. Go read the last forerunner book, they are real, but I won't spoil anything else. Anyways, I am laughing at the people who don't understand the ship being human means that it is from the forerunner-human war. I bet it is just being lazy since those pictures pop up for a second.
  25. The Arbiter is comming back -Maybe as a minor character, but he won't be playable in Halo 5 or 6. My reasoning is because Halo 4 seemed to set up the series to be Master Chief's story. Cortana being alive - I doubt she will return in Halo 5 unless it is the very end, but it will probably be a major part of the story. I actually think that it would be possible for Halsey to do something, but Chief will have to kill her. The Flood is still here -Definitely, they weren't all destroyed on the ark, and the newest book brings more information about them possibly setting them up as a primary protagonist for Halo 6. The Didact is still alive - Probably, he can't be composed, and it is highly likely his suit was able to withstand going through slipspace. If the initial blast of the grenade didn't kill him, he is alive. The librarian is still alive and helping. -I don't think so, at least going by what she said in the game. However she most likely helped 100,000 years ago. A quick opinion of what the next two games might be about. Halo 5 will be about finding a replacement for Cortana for Chief. But he will somehow get involved with the UNSC's fight against the Covenant, and inevitably have to kill Halsey. Somehow the both Didacts will be tied into the story, possibly ending with the bad one's death. Either way Humanity and the whatever Forerunner will have to come to some agreement in order to defeat the flood who have returned. In Halo 6 the main antagonist will be the flood, possibly having a couple of actual precursors who deemed both the forerunner and humans to be corrupt or whatever. Master Chief will kill himself to save the galaxy, and as a tacky ending Cortana will have returned, and he says something she said in Halo 4 when she died.
