You're mixing up the meaning od doubt with disbelief. The two things I quoted were doubt because they thought it could have a negative effect on people's memories. Disbelief in the same scenario would have them say something like, "we thought this would never work because it would ruin memories".

If they release a Halo 2 anniversary come 2014, then don't be surprised to see a demand for a Halo 3 anniversary when 2017 rolls around and so on. Just to compound what Dan said, the magic of Halo and the “secret sauce” is the game-play, and if you moved it to a different engine, if you moved it to a different technology you’d lose that essence. So essentially they didn't want to mess with any of the memories fans had had, but they decided to make everything exactly the same, and that is why it worked.

No, they don't need to make a remake of every Halo game. It will make them look lazy and unimaginative. They had so many doubt about remaking CE, so I doubt they will remake 2 anyways.

I'm glad they are making a game type similar to Invasion. Maybe it will even be better.

I got the feeling that your weapon of choice would be limited. They have talked about weapon placement on the map. They made some thing that radomizes the spawnpoints of all the weapons. So I feel that we will be able to choose from typical weapons like ARs, BR's, DMR's, Plasma Rifles, Carbines, needlers, pistols, and maybe shotguns. Then things like snipers, launchers, and forerunner weapons will spawn on the map. So a mix between Halo and Call of Duty is what I'm imagining. A classic game type wouldn't hurt though.

I think only 5 people from Bungie actually left. Then a whole bunch of other people quit their jobs just so they could make a halo game. Thay is why I think Halo 4 will be so great because so many people who love the series are making the game. People at bungie were tired of only making Halo, so they didn't work as hard as they previously had.

Actually bungie was making it a RTS initially, then they changed it to a third person shooter. Then Microsoft bought bungie and they made it an fps. Anyways my top 10: 1. Halo Combat Evolved 2. Halo Combat Evolved is the best. It essentially created the video game industry that we know today. And I played it for 6 years.

They could make a story for it, all I can think of on the spot is that it is too make endless types of battlefields so the Spartans can train in many types of environments. I hope they don't make another forge world into maybe the last DLC they release. Forge World just seemed to make all the other maps irrelevant in reach.
