This is a fantastic post. I remember being A LOT younger on here and seeing Director in the dark blue, now I walk into the shoutbox and see Director in the dark blue. Times have changed. In all seriousness, great post! Happy anniversary friend, even though I know we haven't had the best relationship.

Video game giant, Capcom, is now open to a total buyout via stocks, thanks to a reversal in an older decision to not allow any shareholder to have complete control over the company. Capcom is well known for it's games, from Resident Evil to Megaman, the company has no doubt created legends in the gaming industry, but you might be forced to buy a specific platform or from a specific company soon to pick up a Capcom product. According to IGN.com, the company made clear today that they are opening the option to stockholders with massive shares in the company. A business enactment made in 2008 from Capcom would've made this nearly impossible, but after it was announced they had around 200 million in their bank, they opened this up as a sort of final effort. Of course the company will overview with it's board of directors before making a final call as to if someone with a large enough hold on the company shares may take control. This could be an easy game buy for major companies like Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo in need of exclusives to sell their consoles. Even larger publishers like EA and Activision could make stellar profits from this with very little investment. View attachment: ResEvil.png What do you think of the massive possibility that this legendary company will be under the reigns of someone else as a likely exclusive? Let me know in the comments below, thanks for reading!

The newly hyped title from the hit underground game franchise LittleBigPlanet, announced at E3, has been confirmed for PS3 along with PS4! LittleBigPlanet3, shown off at Sony's E3 2014 Conference, looks to be incredibly next generation with colourful graphics, a gorgeous visual style, and overall fun mechanics, but it seems this supposed 'Next Gen' title might not be so exclusive to the PlayStation 4. According to a developer on the game, Steven Isbell, on his Twitter.com account, LittleBigPlanet3 will be making it's way to PS3, with "more news on that later." A counter to this however is that no Pre-Order page has been put up for a PlayStation 3 version, only a PS4 version. But this does make sense with the inter-connectivity to the other two games and how they mentioned maps do carry over, and it would make the transition more seamless for sure. However the real question here is whether this is a step backwards for the game as a whole, as the PS3 could limit the game from being truly a 'Next Gen' game. While LittleBigPlanet has always had a beautiful visual style, certain issues did pop up on the PS3 in regards to connection and the overall gameplay experience, on the PlayStation 4, these issues could be avoided. They have said that graphics were going to be updated, and had no word on these other issues, further progressing the fear. View attachment: LBPlogo.png What do you think, do you want LittleBigPlanet on as many platforms as possible, or is this holding the game back technically? Let me know below, thanks for reading!

Destiny for the PC is being discussed
VinWarrior replied to Unease Peanut's topic in General Discussion
*sigh* Alrighty then, let's get down to it. I don't think he dislikes PC gamers, just those who go around abusing console players, and you KNOW it happens, more often then the other way around too. Now, I'm a PC gamer myself, I play my consoles MORE and don't in any right believe my PC is better, but that's just me. However, when one of your 'kind' will just start whining and screaming about their 4K Steamsale master race bullcrap, your whole community's reputation is going to be tarnished. A lot of people don't go full PC simply due to how disgusting the community is, as you all seem to be rabidly attacking console users and even EACH OTHER, even though it ISN'T all of you. I understand his frustration, and I understand yours, but you BOTH need to understand each other's problems. In short, his comments are dumb, and neither are yours, you both have opinions, and that's fine. You can't blame Yoko for being mad at the community though, because every forum I go to (even this one) seems to accept the massive abuse console gamers get from PC gamers. And Yoko needs to understand that the answer ISN'T limiting the game from PC players, but trying to work WITH each other. We're all gamers in the end, this is an idiotic a war as a war between a white man and a black man, it's all just pointless in the end, we're all for a common cause. -
It depends on how you feel about it. How many exclusives excite you? How many features do you feel are necessary or add more to your experience? When are these features and games being implemented if not already? For me, because of all the exclusives I plan on getting, yes. For you however, it might be a complete new ballpark.

Hello dedicated readers, welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up, the eighth edition, wow I'm really milking this cash cow! Speaking of cash cows, we have quite a few of those in today- What? I'm being told we can't call these games 'cash cows'... Uh-huh... Apparently I'm fired. Welp, there goes my income for my three kids... Enjoy the Wrap-Up! View attachment: WNW 61414.JPG Diablo III Confirmed for 900p on Xbox One; 1080p on PlayStation 4 Diablo III: The Ultimate Evil has become a widely pre-ordered hit making it's way to Current Generation consoles, and naturally the question buyers are asking is what the resolution of the game is? According to IGN.com, the game will run at a confirmed 900p on the Xbox One, and 1080p on the PS4, both at a 60 frames per second lock. This news came from the Senior Producer's own mouth, Julia Humphreys, who only said, "We're prioritizing frame rate." This is surprising considering it wasn't mentioned at E3, which is strange as most developers would bring it up. Of course this is likely due to the apparent partnership with PS4 as the Ultimate Evil Edition only appeared at the Sony conference, and has PlayStation exclusive content. Phil Spencer also responded over Twitter, making it apparent that the resolution wasn't his choice and he never spoke to Blizzard personally on the matter. View attachment: Diablo-3-Reaper-of-Souls-Soundtrack.jpg What do you think, is it disappointing that it's only 900p on Xbox One, or is it okay for the 'next' generation to put out a 900p game? Discuss below! Grand Theft Auto V Announced for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4 The Current Generation version of Grand Theft Auto V had a huge amount of rumors and speculation around it, so it was a given that this confirmation would happen, likely at E3. EscapistMagazine.com reports that the game, which was revealed at E3, will becoming at an unannounced date this fall for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. It will include visual upgrades, added content, and a bonus video editor for PC users. The game is available for pre-order already, and is likely partnered with PlayStation in some way, as it was revealed at their conference and shows PS4 footage. Mass Effect Prequel Teased at E3 Mass Effect has become a pop culture hit in it's latest years, and fans were foaming at the teeth for a new reveal at E3's conference, what they got only managed to tease more, on Mass Effect's account, the set of interviews and concept images can be seen in a short video talking about the move in a new direction. The game is shown to have Krogan-esque figures, and enter a new region of the galaxy currently unexplored. The main character also has beefy armor, looking quite a bit like that of a Cerberus trooper, and follows a galaxy map of sorts, like usual. The N7 logo is also shown off multiple times, as well as vast open terrains mimicing that of the old expansive lands to drive the Mako around, a much missed vehicle. This teaser basically sums up that the game is in development and it won't be long before we see more of it. Agreed 100%. Do I think it was a stupid decision on Ubi's part? Hell yeah I do! But they're Ubisoft too, you think a giant, diverse, and monopolisitc corporation like them would go, "Hey let's alienate part of our fanbase"? Hell no they wouldn't

Give us the Ability to have BLACK Armor
VinWarrior replied to MasterChiefMEAN's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
I think more metallic colours IN GENERAL should be available! Why no Neon colours? Why no metallic colours? Why no refractive colours? This is something that seriously needs to be added, along with patterns for the armor like hexagonal. -
THERE'S BEEN AN UPDATE So, Microsoft, you've convinced me. I will be purchasing the kinect-less X1 for my birthday, and probably buy Titanfall or Forza just to have something to play on it. The MCC looks too good to pass up.

That was hilarious, and I'm a huge PS4 fan. See, this is fine, having fun with each other, I just dislike the rabid fanboy-ism wars. Xbox isn't so innocent either.

The updated Alienware Alpha, a spin-off of the original concept including a Steam Controller and SteamOS, is coming this year bundled with Windows and an Xbox 360 controller! Earlier last year, Alienware showed off their model of a Steam Machine, giving some details on the specifications and what it could do with SteamOS in it, as well as the Steam controller. When Valve however delayed the Steam Machine to 2015, Alienware began production on a spin-off version, without SteamOS and the controller, and according to Polygon.com, that version is the Alienware Alpha. The Alpha will contain an Xbox 360 controller bundled, and Windows 8.1 interface. Alienware has said that when the SteamOS and Controller launch, they will be fully compatible with the Alpha, and that SteamOS is fully ready to be installed on Day One on the platform, but we'll have to wait until 2015 to get it. It will launch this holiday for $550 and the SteamOS and Controller will become available at an unannounced date in 2015. It will run any current game on 1080p and 60fps. View attachment: Alpha-Top-Banner-Alpha-Xbox360-20140610.png What do you think of this news? Will you be purchasing the Alpha, or do you fully need the SteamOS before making a transaction? Let me know below, thanks for reading the article!

In an interview on Ubisoft's site with Unity's Lead Game Designer, Alex Pedneault, it was revealed the combat system in-game has been done over with an entirely new design, and the basic Block has been removed, meaning players can no longer simply press a button at the right time to block. Assassin's Creed: Unity's stellar debut at Xbox's E3 2014 Conference amazed many, fans and passersby alike, with an seemingly improved system, especially combat-wise. On Ubi.com, an interview was conducted with the man above, where he talked about the revamp in the fighting system in Unity. With a new engine, changes could be made, and one of the biggest is the removal of the basic Block. He said, “We still have counter moves like the parry, perfect parry and dodge but it is much harder to kill NPCs right away . . . Instead of simply pressing “B”, you now have to work for the kill." He also put emphasis on the idea of combat not being impossible, and that a small group of enemies shouldn't be too hard, but as they kept piling on, the player would have to develop new tactics and possibly evade the group. The spotlight then shifted to the new addition to Arno's arsenal, the Phantom Blade, acting as a hidden blade crossed with a Bow and Arrow system, which could prove useful for stealth, or for easy potshots. View attachment: ACunitybackdrop.png Did you like the block system in the previous Assassin's Creed titles, or are you glad to see such an overpowered system stripped out from the game? White PS4 and Destiny Bundle Announced; Exclusive Content Shown
VinWarrior posted a article in Other Articles
Sony's E3 Press Conference has revealed that there will be a bundle with a copy of Destiny on PS4 and a white console, controller, and 30 day PS+ Subscription card. Sony's Electronic Entertainment Expo this year kicked off with a large bang as Destiny content was shown straight out the gate, starting off with the announcement of the Beta date, the 17th of July, and of course early access for PlayStation users. What really kicked it off though was the reveal of a white PlayStation 4 bundled with a copy of Destiny, which can now be viewed on PlayStation's account. The bundle will accompany, as said above, a white console and DualShock 4 controller, the game itself, and a month's worth of PlayStation Plus. As was also revealed at Sony's E3, Destiny will have a ton of exclusive armor sets, missions, and other bonus content for the PlayStation version of the game. The bundle will ship on the same day as the main game, and the bonus content will be available day one, however it is unknown whether it is timed content, or if Xbox owners may never get the content. View attachment: PS4Destinybundle.jpg What are your thoughts on the Destiny PS4 bundle? Or how about the exclusive armor and weapons only available to PlayStation owners? Let me know below, thanks for reading!- 3 comments
