343 Industries dropping more news at the next generation Halo and inevitably leaking valuable info. 343 Industries released a job listing recently for someone experienced in Online and Connection Engineering to go to work on a Halo title. Taking detailed info from the article, they are looking for someone who will work on a "new experience in the Halo universe." They will be helping 343i to deliver Online and Connected Experiences for the mentioned Halo title. They will collaborate with other designers, to deliver polished code as well. View attachment: New-1.JPG1.JPG To qualify, the person needs to have Experience with services development and at least 5 years of C++ Expertise. Finally, a big red flag, "Experience on a current Generation AAA game title." This could hint at a Halo experience being released on the 360. Furthermore, it could just be that you need experience on the past gen to qualify. So what do you guys think? Is this a current generation title for Halo, or just simply looking too deeply into this? The upcoming game Evolve for PS4, Xbox One, and PC is getting a hefty batch of Pre-Order bonuses at participating retailers. Creators of the immensely popular zombie game Left 4 Dead are releasing a next-gen title called Evolve in fall, alongside this release are some sweet pre-order bonuses, including a skin called "Savage Goliath" and a new monster coming at a yet un-announced release date. If you are unfamiliar with Evolve, it is an upcoming title where you and three friends battle against a fifth person, who plays a monster. More monster varieties and upgrades are available in-game, leading to multiple different outcomes each playthrough. So now that pre-order bonuses have surfaced, are you enticed to Pre-order Evolve? $65 Xbox One Titanfall controller revealed
VinWarrior replied to Akali's topic in General Discussion
That is a sick controller, if I buy an extra THAT'S the one I'm picking up for sure! My only problem is it's $65 price tag, why the extra 5 bucks? It's not like it does anything different other then aesthetic wise. Either way, I can afford it, and this is sure on my list for stuff I want alongside an Xbox One. Next maybe a Halo Xbox One controller? -
Obsidian Entertainment, the developers of Fallout: New Vegas, and the upcoming South Park: The Stick of Truth in March, have posted a job listing for a person with skills in the UI (user interface) Department. The specifics were detailed as someone who is fully capable of concept art and mockups and in-game assets, as well as their assembly and exporting into programs like Adobe Flash CS5 The company has offered no word on specifics of the game title for Next Gen, but I will update if and when they comment. Infinity Ward, developer of the recent FPS hit, Call of Duty: Ghosts, has teased a new Expansion Pack for the game, called Onslaught. The pack is planned to add four multiplayer maps, Fog, Bayview, Containment, and Ignition, one Extinction map, Nightfall, and two weapons, the Maverick Assault Rifle, and Sniper Rifle. These teases came in multiple forms, whether the recent video on the company's Instagram, with the words "Something menacing is coming Jan. 28. Get ready for the #Onslaught." or the leaked photo above. The other DLC names were also revealed, including this one, Onslaught, Devastation, Invasion, and Nemesis were added to the list, with the first letter in each spelling out ODIN, the satellite system featuring prominently in the Single-Player. The pack released first for Xbox on January 28th, and it is unknown when it will release for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, and Wii U. Source: IGN

Titanfall is a completely different brand of game all together, differing from others due to it's lack of a single-player story, and the hope that multi-player alone can sell it. This has made the game difficult to market according to the game's producers. Drew McCoy, producer, basically stated the norm of trailers, with multiple scripted Single-player moments, and how Titanfall is instead a blend of shots of real game-play in a live multi-player, usually at around 3-5 minutes. This of course shows the flow of a normal game, creating a more realistic picture of how it will play. He also explained that this was the reason they took pre-alpha builds to their reveals in places like PAX, so people could have hands-on playtime without them needing to polish a single-player mode. That may not happen. Halo: Spartan Assault is on Windows 8, Halo 1 and 2 were on PC as well, and it's likely Halo 3 on PC has been considered and tested many times. While they may not be on a Sony console anytime soon, it would be amazing if they were, because a Game should be on every platform possible. I don't play PC, but it'd be awesome if Destiny was also on it. I don't play Civilization 5, but it would be awesome on the One and PS4. More platforms mean more success for a game, so why limit it?

The baby above is newborn girl Tali'Zorah, born in North Carolina and named after the popular Video Game character from Mass Effect. It was the mother who chose the name after playing the first game and falling in love with Tali as a character. The family has received numerous messages of support and kindness from loved ones and friends, with only 'Internet Backlash' being a real problem, as the name has gained some controversy in the community. The controversy is due to how unique the name is, and if it would make her a bigger target for bullies, but the father, Adam, has replied that no matter what your name is, bullying can still happen. Dark Souls, a popular multi-platform title, was announced to be getting it's own Café in December of last year. The new eatery was the result of a partnership between Dark Soul's Developers, From Software, and Tokyo's originally Australian themed Oz Café. The Café includes a menu inspired by the Dark Souls universe, such as a Ring of Stone (onion rings) and other references revolving around Dark Souls. Source:Polygon

Rayman Legends, originally announced as a Nintendo Wii U exclusive title, has since it's original launch seen addition on multiple platforms, including last gen, PC, and soon, Next Gen. The Xbox One and PS4 versions will include exclusive content and add-ons, such as characters from other UbiSoft titles like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Splinter Cell. In addition to exclusive content, the next-gen versions will be a better overall experience, including sharper visuals, and the exclusion of loading times when a player enters or exits a level. In Rayman Legends for the Xbox One, you can also earn 10 time-limited achievements by completing challenges in a certain amount of time for example one week to sprint 15 miles. These are in addition to the existing standard achievements carried forward from the Xbox 360 version. Meanwhile on the Ps4's version, Rayman Legends uses the DualShock 4's touchpad to enable an all-new camera mode that players can use to snap screenshots and share them with friends. The game also uses the touchpad as a means to allow you to virtually scratch in-game tickets. A scratching sound will even emit from the DualShock 4. Rayman Legends on PS4 and Xbox One launches on February 18th. Source: GameSpot I personally want to thank Yang Xiao Long for working on the second half of the article for me.

Destiny expected to "push the PS3 and Xbox 360 to their limits"
VinWarrior replied to Screech's topic in General Discussion
Well, this should be expected, Destiny and most next gen games don't really belong on the old gen, even GTA V really pushed these old machine's limits. These games should mainly be on the Next Gen consoles, and Bungie shouldn't have to downgrade the game as a whole just to work on these inferior (now) machines. Btw, your quote at the end, I have an original 360, THANK GOD I'm picking up Destiny for next gen XD -
With the original State of Decay, developed by Undead Labs, meeting critical success with over half a million copies within two weeks, and Undead signing a contract for multiple games for Microsoft over a span of years, an MMO may be on the way for Xbox One. Undead recently revealed that they would be keeping it under careful watch for now, but they said that they do have huge plans for the franchise on Xbox and PC. Originally, Undead Studios had aspirations and credentials for a multiplayer game, and even a Co-op mode was cut out of the original State of Decay, meaning they could explore this more in the future in an MMO-esque way. VinWarrior replied to Ghost Recon's topic in General Discussion
Holy mother of links, that's a lot of links. So many links, that they're all wondering where Zelda is at! I don't watch anime, but thanks for the info, I'm sure it will help others. -
My first 360 game? Well, my father bought a three game bundle I believe, Gears of War, King Kong, and Condemned. My first of the three was Gears of War, loved it. Halo 3 came after about a few months, soon after, Bioshock 1 as well, those games got me into gaming.
