  1. Source-The Inquisitr ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "Many reports have been saying Microsoft and Skype agreed to use all chat sessions as Skype " But is this really worth it, what do you think? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ After Microsoft purchased Skype in 2011 to the tune of $8.5 billion, it abandoned MSN Messenger in favor of integrating Skype with many of its platforms, and Microsoft reportedly plans to do the same thing with the next Xbox. The report comes from CVG, who cite an alleged source from inside Microsoft. According to the report, Microsoft intends to make Skype the main form of communication for the company’s next-generation Xbox, which is expected to be announced in the next several months. The source tells CVG: “You might jump to the conclusion that we’ll see asynchronous voice and video messages in next-gen Xbox Live”. This is only a rumor, but it’s the most believable one so far. Microsoft’s plan to integrate Skype into its product can already be seen in other areas, and it only makes sense that they would do the same for the next Xbox, especially considering Microsoft has already hinted at it. Microsoft recently posted a job listing for its UK-based Skype offices that calls for a user interface designer, and the company’s next console is specifically named. The listing reads: “The team you’ll join is responsible for Skype in the living room (broadly the home), across various devices but with a focus on the large screen and the next generation of Xbox.” Fortunately, it appears that it won’t be too much longer before all of the speculation can finally be put to rest; industry chatter suggests that Microsoft will announce the next Xbox either at E3 this year or possibly earlier. Source-Gamezone _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We all knew that after episode 5 the next episode will reveal a big battle and many secrets but can you wait? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The second half of Halo 4's Spartan Ops Season 1 is set to return on January 21. Halo 5 Rumors

Source-Latinos Post ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We All Know Halo 5 will be a darker halo than halo 4,and it is only the start of the forerunner saga. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "Halo 4" was one of the best reviewed games of 2012. The title garnered an 87 aggregate score from Meta Critic and was hailed by reviewers for reinvigorating the franchise. However, developer 343 Industries claims that "it made a ton of mistakes in producing the hit title". On a blog, franchise development director Frank O'Connor stated that "[Halo 4] wasn't flawless by any stretch of the imagination". But by most objective criteria, it was a resounding success. So we know we have a lot to do. And we know we have a lot to learn. But we also know that we now have the capacity, the teamwork, the technology and the experience to do much better next time." He added, "We made a lot of mistakes. We can do better. And we know this, and we will." O'Connor makes no mention about whether the development company has initiated work on the next installment in the venerated franchise but he seems to be excited about the future. "Technically, this should be a retrospective, but it's safe to say I'm more excited about the future than the past. Excited about what this team is already working on," he wrote. "Excited about what this team is capable of. And excited about the future of Halo. A future we want you to be a part of. A future we're building for you." The only real information currently known about the next Halo title is that it will be "darker" than the previous installment. Rumors indicate that the game could come out with the launch of the Xbox 720, but with recent release of "Halo 4," the next title is likely a few years away. Reports have claimed that the title is in "early development."

  6. Source-Xbox 360 The Magazine Obvisouly if you ever played a game of Slender, it is very creepy, but a game is coming to Xbox LIve In The Indie Game Section Called White Noise. With recent PC success stories like Amnesia and Slender: The Eight Pages taking up slack from Silent Hill and Resident Evil, survival horror is experiencing something of an indie-powered renaissance. Riding the waves of that revival is White Noise: A Tale of Horror, a cheap console clone of Slender that's among the scarier cash-ins we've encountered. Set in the countryside of Northern France, White Noise provides you with exactly two tools - a flashlight and the ability to run, something you'll be doing a lot if you want to survive. Having travelled to the area to write an article for a supernatural magazine, your partner has gone missing, and it's up to you to discover their fate by recovering audio logs that are scattered around the countryside. There's no map, so the only way to pin down your location as you explore is by listening for ambient cues. The tapes themselves can't actually be listened to, however, which feels like a missed opportunity. They may as well have been replaced with pineapples, for all the contribution they make. It's a shame, because some suitably creepy audio diaries could have really elevated the atmosphere to terrifying new heights. It's not until the first recording has been located that things start to go awry. An evil creature (looking somewhat like the bloodied lovechild of Nemesis from Resident Evil and Tali from Mass Effect) begins to track your movements. It's a familiar horror gambit, but a terrifying one nonetheless. The dread of being relentlessly pursued by this creature is amplified by the scenery, which is only ever partially revealed by the beam of your flashlight. Gothic statues and humanoid trees litter the landscape, and the fact that you start in a different place each time creates an overwhelming sense of disorientation. The game advises you to play with the lights off and the volume turned up, but we were too cowardly to function in such conditions. The imitation of Slender is almost overbearing in places, right down to the number of clues that need to be gathered (eight), and the static effect on the edges of the screen when the monster gets a little too close. The developers are open about their borrowing, however, and the absence of direct competition on Live Arcade makes White Noise hard to pass up - for fans of horror at least. View full article

  8. Source-UberGizmo As big of a year as Rovio had with its Angry Bird games in 2012, Mojang, developer of Minecraft , had a great year in their own right as they announced today their game received 15 million downloads last year, one-third of which occurred in December alone. In a blog post published today, Mojang highlighted download figures across all platforms Minecraft is available on, which as of now is PC, Mac, Xbox 360, iOS and Android. In 2012, the platform where Minecraft was downloaded the most wasn’t the PC, where it originally debuted, but instead, on iOS and Android with nearly six million downloads, nearly 284k copies were purchased on Christmas Day. The Xbox 360 version came in second place for most downloads with a little over 5 million, and PC & Mac came in last with over 4 million downloads. In the same blog post, Mojang teased the upcoming released of Minecraft: Pi Edition which will be focused on the development crowd as it’ll support several programming languages and carry a revised feature set.
  9. If your a desperate hard core halo 4 player for sr's here you go! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The latest "Halo 4" glyph puzzle was solved Saturday and it grants a massive 50,000 experience points for the Xbox 360 shooter. However, it will be a challenge to complete.Halo4ARG posted details of the glyph puzzle which you can enter on Halo Waypoint. Once you've entered the code, you'll have to take on the task of completing the entire "Halo 4" campaign on Legendary difficulty either in co-op or solo to earn 50,000 experience points plus the LASO Emblem. 14. Source-Examiner The first trailer for a next-generation title has finally been revealed to the world, and you can check it out below. According to a press release sent out to all media today from Evolve PR, the first trailer for the upcoming title "Cyberpunk 2077" has finally debuted. This title has already been confirmed by tweets sent out a little while back from when CD Projekt's Adam Kiciński sent out a handful of tweets confirming "Cyberpunk 2077" and "The Witcher 3" for current and next-generation systems. "Unnanounced dark fantasy title ("Witcher 3?") is in more advanced stages than "Cyberpunk 2077". "Cyberpunk 2077" is the first in a series, both games are larger than The Witcher, both are multi-platform. "2013 will be smaller stuff for CDP RED, no Witcher-caliber release. Witcher for iPhone - too early to say anything, but not impossible. "No Witcher for PS3 next year, they want TW on Playstation, but not current gen. "Both TW3 and CP2077 will appear on next gen consoles," Kiciński said. What do you think about the trailer? "The teaser shows how the Psycho Squad might acquire a new member. The Psycho Squad specializes in combating 'psychos' – individuals who overuse implants and substances that boost or otherwise alter the human body. "There comes a point when they overdose on these innovations, and their bodies start to rebel against their biological body parts as well as against all things organic around them. Simply put, they start killing people, who they now derisively call 'meatbags.' "When a psycho goes on the rampage, strange things can happen. There’s going to be a lot of carnage, so the psycho might be taken down by regular police, but they’re not always able to get the job done. "When things spin out of control, they call in MAX-TAC (Maximum Force Tactical Division), popularly called the 'Psycho Squad'. And these guys are exceptional, these guys are crack troops. The fact that they’re proud of that name tells you a bit about their mindset. "They wear a badge with their official emblem on their right sleeve, but their left is reserved for their unofficial Psycho Squad emblem. It’s primitively made and the image itself is on the crude side of things. "It’s not unlike a badge special force operators might make and wear to distinguish themselves from the ranks of grunts in any theatre of war," said Badowski. The game is said to be an open-world title set during the year 2077 in Night City. Players will have the chance to roam to known places from "pen-and-paper RPG 'Cyberpunk 2020'" The non-linear story takes players into an age where advanced technologies have become both the "salvation and curse of humanity." http://www.examiner.com/video/cyberpunk-2077-trailer
  15. Source-Examiner 343 Industries outlined the first three weeks and episodes of Spartan Ops' return to Halo 4, starting as scheduled on January 21 with Episode 6. The next two episodes of the co-op campaign are coming on January 28 and February 4. After that, two more as-yet-undated episodes will conclude the first season, the likely word of pertinence being 'first.' 343 Industries is also releasing matchmaking updates alongside the Spartan Ops episodes. Joining episode 6 on January 21 is a new 'Forge Test' playlist which rotates around some of the smaller Forge maps like Relay. Pioneer and Pathfinder specializations are also being unlocked then. Accompanying the following episode on January 28 is a Grifball playlist, along with Engineer and Stalker specialization unlocks. February 4 brings the Team Doubles playlist, with maps limited to two teams of two, as well as Rogue and Tracker specializations.
  16. Source-Examiner As part of the Samsung CES keynote address, the company screened a video created by Microsoft Research which shows a technology that may make the next generation of gaming rather interesting indeed. Instead of confining action to merely the screen, IllumiRoom features projected images to expand the playing field to fill the entire room, surrounding the gamer in a fully immersive graphical ambience. It's not something that's completely unfamiliar as something similar appeared in the leaked Xbox 720 document that surfaced online back in June 2012. It suggested that the entire room could be used through cunning projection methods, and it now seems as if Microsoft is one step closer to make it a reality. Indeed, Microsoft Research claims that none of the effects in the demonstration video has been altered. This is really the technology running in a lab testing room. They are "rendered in real time and captured live". What Samsung has to do with it is anyone's guess. Maybe it is providing the projection technology. Either way, if the Xbox 720 featured some form of the tech, it could make the Wii U look positively run-of-the-mill. What do you think? Would you like to be surrounded by the gaming images as you play? Let me know in the comments below...
  17. Hello everyone I would like to discuss a couple things with you, this will not be the last, and there will be many posts like this. Sit Down And Relax I would like to first say, we all need to give the moderators and staff a break, definitely the moderators. The moderators realize everything that is going on,but they have reasons to do these actions. Also about being nice to new members, but not only new members old members. I will also discuss about why secrets stay in the secret forum. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ Moderators And Staff Give those guys a break they dont do there job, because they get paid, no they do it because they want to. Also if you get told by a moderator to STOP doing something they dont want you to do than stop. There is no reason to argue against a moderator. Members All members are the same there is no" I am more superior than you, because I am Dedicated, and you are noob." If you wanna be respected you dont yell or scream at younger or older members, now if you are actually nice and not commander hitler you can get somewhere. Like for example all those Member Of The Months they actaully helped around in the shoutbox, they didnt say "SHUTUP AND LEAVE ME ALONE(well i hope they didnt). So remember all members are the same. Moderator If you guys heard from the past couple weeks about the mods checking your mail, why do you worry? Well they do this for many reasons. Dealing Bad Pictures Threatening If you wanna do all that, and not get in trouble take the talk somewhere else like xbox live. For example no one knew about bad pictures going around, but if a mod didnt look, you would of been a disowned member on the forum, and you would be breaking a couple laws. Also when they tell you to stop spamming smiles and spamming, please stop doing that for them. Remember what i said they dont get paid for this. Staff Secrets There is a reason members or sometimes staff dont know about updates coming up.First of all, the entire point of a secret forum is so no one finds out everything. Twam And the other hard working crew on the website do this, because they can surprise us. If you knew all these things were coming, it wouldnt be surprising or amazing wouldnt it? Now I hope you take these words straight to the head, and dont forget them. Thank You Lil Dog
