Well at least they arent giving people XP for every game and anything they do...they actually have their own game matches of bonus XP which is nice. So hopefully not everyone and their cousin will be grinding points left and right while getting diabetes lol.
So according to the new interview with Kiki Wolfkill from G4TV X-Play, she hints at the origin of the STORM.
At 3:10 she talks about the covenant being enemies in past Halo games and how they are now once again an enemy to MC and the UNSC.

Possible Spoiler...maybe...
So from what it sounds like for those of you who have read/are reading Ghosts of Onyx and Glasslands, the truce between the Humans and Covenant/Elites is possibly broken or strained (possibly in The Thursday War). She even states it is broken at 3:37.
So the thought that the STORM were a faction of the old covenant that are no longer receving orders form the now dead prophets is seemingly thrown out of the window. It would seem more rather that the STORM are the split faction fo covenant and elites that split from the truce with the Humans in The Thursday War.
What do you all think?
Too bad it was just confirmed over the weekend to be pilotable in Halo 4. It will have a turret on either side and will carry people not in the gunner seat...looks to be in campaign for now. 343i has not stated if it is in MM yet. It could work on BTB maps but that would about it.
I agree they do look like face huggers from Alien.
Also the above is correct, thee was a tour of the map and it is a research facility. The facility is on Requiem and those are apparently native to Requiem.
Incorrect...LE owners get acces to ALL 8 Specializations from day one. Once you finish the initial 1-50 levels you have a choice of any of the 8 specializations to choose from.
For Standard Edition owners however, the Wetworks and Pionerr Specializations will be the only options available once you finish the initial 1-50 levels. At that point, it will indeed work similar to the Lt. Colonel lvl cap in Reach where it was lifted once the community reached it. So once the community hits a certain mark, the other 6 Specializations will become available over time to the SE owners.
yeah stumbling across this vid was sweet...some good tactics for sure
To add...in his video plasma grenades were really the ideal option when using this method and understandably so. Plasmas are my go to grenade as well...and they will be in my loadouts for Halo 4 for sure
just FYI. Frank O'Connor stated that there will be 10 War Games Maps and they will not be forge world made maps...so they will all be brand new War Games only made maps. Ravine is a forge world map and will not be a part of the 10 War Games maps that launch with the game. So we have seen 8 War Games maps so far and 1 Forge World map.
While playing at CC the AR functioned a lot like the AR in Halo 3...I used it in tandem with the beatdown a lot. But really...I found myself using the Carbine or LR more often...most maps really flow for mid range (with the exception of BTB maps like Exile). The AR was good to get a feel for the maps but to each their own lol
I have the MW3 wireless Xbox headset and I love it. It is small enough and holds an amazing charge. I get plenty of sound out of it, but than again all I use it for is talking to friends and team mates. I just use my TV for sound lol
Seeing as it comes with the DLC War Games Map Pass with all 3 futures DLC map packs, the Forward Unto Dawn extended cut (priced at $28.99 Blu Ray) and some other extras like in game skins and armor, yeah its worth it this time.
And yeah there is no Legendary, just the Limited Edition
Gamestop, EB Games, Amazon, Micro$oft Store, BestBuy, Walmart, and ToysRus area ll sold out. I cant really think of any others pre-ordering. So yeah...the LE is pretty much all done.
Its good to be back and have internet again lol
I agree it is probably just a hype vid...they did that with the Hornet in Halo 3 and the BR in Halo 2 before they came out.
For those of you pre-ordering from MightyApe NZ...unless you have an Xbox from that region, you can not play the game. The game is region locked, the DLC you can use, but the game you can not. So essentially you just payed $100 for some DLC...
LE from Gamestop (which btw has a new pre-order bonus event going on at http://halo4vote.com/)
seems a bit OP...and yes I understand that if you sneak up on it you can easily hijack/blow up the Mantis. But the thing I noticed is that it can turn pretty fast and deals a massive ammount of damage. It took down a banshee and a tank in like 2 hits. Hopefully they scale back the damage just a bit when the game launches
I could have sworn that Frankie said that the Ordinance Drops varied depending on the maps and gametype. We do not get to choose them. other than that,
Carbine/BR
Boltshot
Plasma Grenade or EMP
Thruster Pack
Shielding
Dexterity
(move fast, hit hard, and recharge)
The new Flood mode; You can still lunge with the Flood version of the sword - as many people call it 'Claw'. There also seems to be shotguns still used as the primary for the Humans. I didn't see any pistol but i am sure it is in there. I like how they gave the Flood Thruster packs, this seems amazing and i can't wait to try this game type. Tell me what you guys/girls think below!
