The 3rd person view of Hardlight shield is kinda cool in my opinion. The thruster pack and jet pack I am sure will be altered. I like the fact that the camp no longer has a radar jammer.

I posted in another thread, gotta find it first, but anyways, it seems like Human weapons do good blunt damage, while covie weapons do good against shields. It appears that the Prom. weapons are inbetween...they can take down shields, but not as fast as covie weapons, and can do blunt damage, but not as fast as human weapons. I am really glad that 343i has 3 varients of each weapon (human, covie, prom) to cover all styles of gameplay. To me it seems like the really skilled people will use the Human weapons, covie weapons will be used for assists mainly, and prom. weapons have the inbetween touch for newer players of players more all around. Looks pretty sweet.

Haha a deployable drop shield grenade would be interesting lol

The binary rifle is the Promethean sniper rifle, the light rifle is the 5 shot Promethean rifle. Which kind of explains why his kills were so OP, but that sniper rifle is going to be nerfed
-
I loved the covie sniper in Halo 3, and I am stoked for it in Halo 4!!

The community has every right to voice their opinions. Saying otherwise is simple minded

I agree...remove the x and it would truly ne ninja assassin

Yep...thats why I think it is a mix of the rocket launcher and the fuel rod. I am looking forward to Halo 4

Thruster pack looks pretty sweet. I like the fact that it is a mix of evadea nd jet pack...add that to sprint and you can get in and out of places quick. Everyones concern about the PP being OP as a secondary weapon should be dissolved now, if you watch when the player uses the PP it drains faster than in Reach and it has a greater burn after fired. The PP does however track better than in reach, similar to that in Halo 3. The rocket launcher looks a little lame now...it doesnt seem to have as much splash damage anymore...when he player was in the tunnels with the flag he was fired upon with 2 rockets, the first clearly missed but didnt produce any splash damage after detonating on the wall. I like the fact that you actually get assists for helping your team...it was so hard to get assists in Reach. Haha...in the end of the vid, you see a player with the FOTUS helmet...it really does look like a helmet with a male body part sticking out of it lol.

@Mr. Bashful Brute: Frank O'Connor himself stated at ComicCon that there will be no Forged Maps in multiplayer Matchmaking (War Games) until AFTER the 3 map packs are released. He said they wanted original new maps to be in Halo 4 for a long time. @TsicksSense: That is correct there will be Forge and there will be several Forge World maps, but as I have previously stated, there will be NO Forged maps in MM until down the road.

i agree with the above, the Promethean weapons seem to be a mix of Human and Covie weapons. They are balanced in between the two. So human weapons do more brunt damage but take a bit more to get through shields. While covie weapons do more to shileds and lessbrunt damage. So the Promethean weapons do an even amount to both

i just watched a new video on Exile, I'll attach it here in a bit, but a player was indeed using the regen field and it DID NOT stop incoming fire. It essentially acted like the regen field in Halo 3. But they may change a few things so who knows

Wow...I like a few of the Helmets now...looks like a good variety for plenty of mix and match. I also like the fact that there are 2 skins for each weapons (with the exception of a third through pre-order or exclusive bundles). Tons of skins for armor as well so people will look individual for sure, especially since you can change the colors. I am so stoked for halo 4 to come out

Good video...I also like how it shows that the player ahd the boltshot as his secondary, but when he picked up the flag, he pulled out a magnum. So, no matter what the secondary is, when you carry the flag, you have a magnum. Good video, the boltshot looks pretty cool...I wasnever a fan of the PP so I may use the boltshot, I like how it has a charge similar to the PP while at the same time having a fire rate similar to the magnum. Also the shotgun appears to have a nice amount of spread and range. I like the fact that it not only says that the enemy took your flag, but it also says who on the enemy team took the flag. (ex. Bravo04 took the flag) Idk if its just me, but the lens around the reticle when zoomed in on the covie and prom weapons seem to be a bit bright. Add that to the brighter maps, the reticles almost seem like they over saturated

Drop shield is still in Halo Reach. It is in BTB. 343i did not remove it. They will not remove regenration field from Halo 4, they may nerf it however. If it truly does stop incoming fire like the drop shield, than it probably can be destroyed when it takes too many hits. I have a feeling that the regenration field will only be able to take so many hits and heal your team in that amount of time.

it seemed to be a big explosion like a a rocket. it also had spalsh damage effects similar to the fuel rod. I amnow starting to think it is more of a mix between the furl rod and rocket launcher.

No because if you watch as the enemy comes around the corner, he spawned on the other side. Also if his shields were down he would have been flashing with his shields attempting to recover, which they were not. But who knows...like I said, even his "sniper" kills from distance were easy head shots, so i am guessing they increased the hit boxes

@Ins4nek1ll4: No you are incorrect. The FOTUS armor and skins are exclusive to the Halo 4 Console Bundle. Just as the Recruit armor and skins are exclusive to the LE.
-
Hmm, seeing as 343i is making a weapon version for each type (Human, Covie, Prom), I wouldnt be surprised if there still is the Fuel Rod in the game and the Incinerator Cannon. I like the look of some of the new Helmets, EOD looks sweet now, similar to the one in Reach. I am gald some of the helmets are more streamlined and look like a true soldiers helmets, while others look fanciful. So you can now mix and match depending on your mood, awesome super soldier, or awesome sci fi whatever lol
-
Agreed...the LE is a great deal this time around. You get all 3 of the map packs, Forward unto Dawn extendedmovie, in game armor, skins, and weapon skins, and plenty of other goodies for 40 dollars more. totally worth it.

Personally, i would play Halo 3, the majority of the weapons in Halo 4 will function similar to those in Halo 3. With the exception of the DMR of course which so far is only in Reach. Halo 3 does not have Health incorporated into the system which is the same as Halo 4. Both Halo 4 and Halo 3 just have a shield bar to calculate hit damage. Jumping will be similar to that in Halo 3 as well. The overall mechanics of Halo 4 function similarly to those in Halo 3, but of course with tune ups. The only reason i would suggest playing Reach would be for the Armor Abilities. Sprint is nice to get used to since everyone will have it in Halo 4, Active Camo will function similar to the one in reach (without the radar scrambler though), Hologram functions very similar in Halo 4 to the one in Reach. Jet pack however has been toned down a lot in Halo 4, so if you use jet pack in reach, use it in bursts, dont fly around with it. Overall, play Halo 3 for the weapons and shield damage indicator. Play Halo Reach for the AA's.
-
I wouldnt worry. You will indeed have the oceanic armor in the game which is available to everyone. The circuit armor however is only a pre-order bonus, BUT, Frank O'Connor from 343i has stated that A Pre-Order bonus DLC bundle pack will be available after Halo 4 launches, it will be available on the Xbox Marketplace. It will include ALL pre-order bonuses
-
Yes it was nerfed, look at the time it takes to recharge in Halo 4, it is 2x as long as the one in Reach, also in the Halo 4 vid, the Jet Pack doesnt last as long as the one in Reach. It really is just a boost in the air which is a nerf from Reach
-
Well as we all saw in Reach...those who hover and fly become giant targets and die rather quickly. So in a combat situation, I can see where 343i is trying to make it a boost in the air.

There are no Forge World maps until AFTER the game launches and AFTER the 3 Map Packs are released.
