In a post by Jord, he shows a video of new gameplay. In the beginning of the video on the right hand side it shows a symbol of a spartan helmet and says Spartan Armor. Now it came to me that if we could only play as Spartans, why add the screen saying Spartan Armor? We know that Frankie said Elites were out, but perhaps we can play as a Promethean now? @Dragon: Probably because they guy is still figuring out the weapon damages and how they now affect vehicles, that or he is a noob lol Thanks for the video....it looks cool, I like how it has aspects of Halo 2 in it, the aztec/mayan looking ruins randomly thrown in Also, has anyone else thought that although we can not play as Elites, maybe we can play as a Promethean seeing as there was a screen saying "Spartan Armor"? Why distinguish Spartan Armor if there is no other armor type to choose from?

i love the way it looks....it looks like a beefed up version of the Reach sniper. It is a power weapona and now it really lokks like it is

the DMR in Reach is a joke...it kills tanks, warthogs, revies, and ghosts way too fast. I like the sniper rifle though, it is a power weapon for a reason so it should take 4 shots to kill a tank or something, but I like the addition of having to hit critical points on the vehicle too.

In Halo 4 what would be your utility weapon, DMR or BR?

To be honest, I will use the Carbine, it has a good ROF and decent spread. But from the two choices you have, I will use the BR. I cant stand the DMR in Reach. If the weapons are as balanced as they say (DMR=Long Range, BR=Mid Range, Carbine=Short/Mid Range) than who knows...but I will stick with either the BR or Carbine, I like to stay closer -
Yeah the reaper was indeed faked, but the Binary Rifle has been seen in a number of official shots and vids so it is legit

origins of characters are usually done better in books and partially in movies. The Halo games have done well to fit pieces together to kick start everyones fascination, but the books are where we get our background and true information As far as the 'STORM' go, we do not know yet if they left on their own accord, or they were sent off to do their own thing before the Prophets died. We will have to wait and see

I agree with SternuS, 343 GS is technically dead, there are many versions of Chakas, 343 GS was just one of them. So in a way 343 GS lives through Chakas, but really Chakas lived through 343 GS before MC owned him.

That is correct, the red glowing ball was indeed the Promethean Grenade, and it does function as an energy drain from Halo 3 (less radius however) you could see it bounce off the ground and than explode there for a second. Im not too sure how I feel about the new announcer...it seems like he says everything faster and trying to be more "hip" when he says things like double kill. Im sure I will get used to it, but I really liked the previous announcer and how he really annunciated when saying things. Flagsassination!! lol -
Pretty cool...I like the new vehicle reticles and hit radars...I also like the lighting effects on this map. Kinda hard to see the resemblance to Blood Gulch and Sidewinder there though. It almost looks like it has some aspects from the campaign of Halo 2 in there (the aztec looking buildings)

@mACca431: Under the description of the pre-order bonuses, it clearly states that the colors can be changed. So yes the colors of the armor skins can be changed to whatever colors you want. You could have the WEB skin and make your guy look like a Pink and Blue spider woman lol

I believe humpstyles is correct, they are being brought back in the fomr of AA's or new weapons (Promethean EMP greande replacing energy drain) etc.

Yep even 343i said that Heroic is still the way Halo is meant to be played. I always do heroic solo and Legendary co-op. Heroic still has fun, but legendary seems like a chore at times lol

I liked it in ODST, but didnt really ever use it in Halo 3. I more often than not just used one weapon and a beatdown and would beat someone dual wielding. It didnt seem that powerful to me. I was glad it was out in Reach and am glad it is out in Halo 4.

It reminds me of the bolt gun from Killzone 3. I liked sticking people to walls lol. I have a feeling it will take out the Hardlight shield in one shot allowing for a second shot to kill the player.

I agree...the needle rifle was fun, I used that more than the DMR. But the Covie Carbine was still my fave in Halo 3.

I could see William being brought back by the Composer, he was always interested in life after death and the possibility of immortality. So maybe he did bring William back. @The Director: The Roster is the roster of personnel and ordinance of the Infinty during Halo 4 I believe, once MC teams up with them, he is back with the UNSC and listed under the Infinity. I for one do not think that he will die in Halo 4. There are still Halo 5, and Halo 6 so chief will be around for a while.

As far as I know the Beam rifle is indeed returning. It appears that there are going to be 3 types of each weapon class (Human, Covie, and Promethean). The Human and Promethean Sniper have already been confirmed, so I wouldnt be surprised if the Covie sniper comes back as well.

I fully agree...I read the Forunner saga so far, and I too am not a fan of Greg, however the saga is good on sheading light on those who came before and how we all connect, it really isnt all that spectacular. I prefer Karen Traviss personally. And if you really want to know...just check wikipedia or halopedia lol

Frankie described the secrent rank as a way to deter people buying accounts, de-leveling etc. So because you cant see other peoples ranks, there is no point in making your rank look cool (or be the highest) to other people, just to yourself. Idk if the logic he used will really work, but whatever lol
