    Flashbang?

Ahh yes...so when you are in close proximity to someone who uses Thruster Pack it does indeed emit a sort of flash. it supposed to be more of a dissorientation to the enemy so you can thrust away in a direction. They have not stated if it effects allies, how long it lasts, and how far it goes. However from the videos, it does not appear to last vary long. When you hit thrust, a flash goes out and you thrust in a direction. It was from one of the MLG videos at ComicCon. I saw it on Halo4Nation. I will try and find it again...but I know what he is talking about now
  2. lol that sounds like an acid trip...it would be interesting to say the least haha
  3. Idk if we will see drones, especially seeing as the new Crawler is seemingly taking the place of Grunts and Drones alike. But it would be cool to see them in the mix. I really want to see the Arbiter again. If the Infinity can stumble upon Requiem than so can Arby lol
  4. Im sure it will be explained in on e of the Halo novels coming along. Hopefully Karen Traviss keeps up the good work. I loved her Republic Commando series
  5. I suppose it would make more canon sense if the Ranks were Navy, but as previously stated, people already know the Halo ranks and are comfortable with them, so I doubt 343i will change them. But would be cool to be more in line with the Halo verse.

    Flashbang?

Well according to a list of all known AA's, Tactical Packages, Support Upgrades and Power Ups, there is no 'Flash Bang' perk. Now you may be thinking about the EMP grenade that was shown in some recent videos. But that stuns vehiles and removes shileds similar to that in Halo 3 and has a small radius. Here is a list of all known so far: http://www.littleenglishhaloblog.com/2012/06/halo-4-armour-abilities-tactical.html Just to add, it may not be the EMP genade that you saw, the 'Flare' from Halo 3 may also be making a return, but I dont know if this has been confirmed or denied yet.
  7. Yes Jet Packs are back but only offered in certain loadouts on certain playlists/maps to control flow of game
  8. The shotgun doesnt seem to be the same in Reach after the TU. It used to have some distance and spread, now it seems more streamlined and shorter range. Hopefully they make the shotgun like it used to be
  9. @ II BoneZ: NO this is not my opinion, this is a fact that there is going to be a 1-50 esque system for Ranked playlists that only you the player can see. Josh Holmes, and Frankie confirmed this when they were talking at the ComicCon panel. Don't presume you know all... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35_pXjNsDUY
  10. I agree with SweamyBagels, the PP being a starting secondary weapon is a bad idea unless 343i really scales back its potential on the battlefield.
  11. Ahh I forgot that when shot while sprinting in Halo 4 you stop sprinting. That is a very good point Ryu brings up. I still think the BR should be 4 shot though, I loved it in Halo 3. And who knows, if 343i sees an issue with weapon balancing after launch they can change it.
  12. I am just going to either buy them on ebay, or wait until the DLC pack that Frankie mentioned is possibly released after launch.
  13. Hunters are just as much a staple of Halo as Elites, Grunts, and MC himself. They have been in every Halo game and should be in Halo 4. Unlike the rest of you, I do not like brutes, they are just stupid overgrown monkeys (not Saiyans). Also with the giant divide between Elites and Brutes even before the schism, I dont think it would make much sense to have Brutes there on Requiem. Now they may be in Spartan Ops for whatever reason, but who knows.
  14. Yes jet-pack is coming back. However, it is only going to be an AA in loadouts for certain playlists/maps. it will not be offered for all loadouts on all playlists/maps. Active Camo is returning. @Sykowolf: The Harlight shield is powerful enough to stop one (1) rocket. However, in one of the mp videos a spartan using hardlight shield against a warthog was still splattered so it will not stop a vehicle. it looks fairly helpful when pushing forward with teammates. It will be different to not be able to pick up grenades without the resupply perk. But I believe you are right, it will help keep down the grenade spamming which is a good thing.
  15. Spartan Ops looks way better than FF. FF got way to repetative. SO looks to be awesome and different every day, of every week. At least for the first season
  16. @CarnageX9: That is why there is a Ranked playlist rank that every player will have similar to that of a 1-50 style Halo 3 ranking system, however only you the player can see your rank. However, when you hit rank 50 and search in the ranked playlists you will know that the other players are going to be around 45+. There is going to be a social rank that everyone can see that goes up from Spartan Points and is similar to that in Reach. So if you like to play ranked, you will have a ranked ranking system. If you like to play social games more, than you will have an overall social rank similar to Readh.
  17. I think the PP needs to drain faster while charging to balance this issue out. I too am glad that armor lock is gone, it was an abused AA. I also think that Jet Pack needs to be removed. Halo mp played just fine without the ability to fly to ridiculous spots on a map. The inclusion of sprint makes sense, the inculsion of thruster also makes sense, speed boost to a point but not let the overall flow of the map be altered. The inclusion of hardlight shield and vision etc. do not physically change the flow of the map. Jet Pack is just as bad as armor lock in my opinion.
  18. I agree that sprint will cause too many people to run away from a battle 1 shot. Sprint worked fine in Reach because only about 60% of all players routinely used sprint according to a poll Frankie released at the Comic Con panel. When the BR is supposed to be a mid range weapon, having it 5 shot will leave too many people running away 1 shot. The BR should be 4 shot. The carbine does not need to be rebalanced because it is meant to be a faster ROF rifle. The DMR would only have to be upped in damage for it to be effective as a 5 shot long range weapon.
  19. I too am a fan of the 4 shot BR as well. The whole 5 shot deal to match the DMR is ridiculous. But than again I have never been a fan of the DMR anyways, I will stick to the BR/Carbine
  20. For the physical items lol...the kick of the dlc is a nice touch also
  21. Only "complaining" because the LE is supposed to be called Limited for a reason...Frankie has already stated that the dlc from the Le, Console Bundle, Controller, and pre-orders will probably be in a pack later after launch, so whats the point of a LE if some of the exclusive items will be available for everyone later? If you decided to spend a little more on the LE, or Console, etc. you deserve to be one of those people who sports the exclusives.
  22. So when Reach launched the Legendray Edition was supposed to be very limited and yet it could be found everywhere even after launch. Bungie and Micro$oft were scolded by the community for not making it limited enough. This time around Frankie and the 343i team said that the LE would truly be limited this time around. However, it seems like the LE is still not limited enough. If they truly wanted the LE to be limited they should have stoped taking pr-orders after ComicCon ended. What do you all think?
  23. I agree with the above, if the AR is stronger than in Reach, similar to that in Halo 3, then I will possbly use that at times. But honestly, the Carbine or BR will be the way to go, and of course if I use the Firepower perk, I will use BR/Carbine combo lol
  24. If they increase how quickly the PP charge drains the energy than there wont be much of an issue
  25. If by becoming more like CoD due to loadouts, sprint, and instant respawn, you would be....mistaken...in all actuality the loadout system and instant respawn came long before CoD. ALL fps titles borrow aspects of other games that came before them. It only improves the next title to come along. and lucky for us the next title is Halo 4. If anything people should be thanking games like CoD, Perfect Dark, and Golden Eye for introducing aspects that have become staples of fps' today.
