  1. After Halo 2 mp, when Halo 3 mp was intorduced it was seen as completely different from Halo 2. When Reach came out, the mp seemed completely different once again, even without the introduction of AA. So yes, the Halo 4 mp will seem completely different from all previous Halo mp, but it will remain Halo none the less. including traits that are similar to CoD is not a bad thing, CoD is a strong FPS franchise for a reason, so using similar traits will only aid the Halo experience.
  2. i thought those were just the pre-order bonuses. So the LE comes with the Pre-Order bonuses as the DLC? And the Arctic BR Skin is for the BR, not for the AR which the LE says comes with an AR skin....interesting.
  3. I believe DarkNazo is correct, since the LE is not coming with the bundle, the DLC is the DLC that comes with the LE. But they may clarify more as launch gets closer.
  4. Anyone know what the Limited Edition armor skin and assault rifle skin look like yet?
  5. I agree with RedStaeRocket91, the kill feed takes up a good majority of the screen when split into 3 and 4 screens. 343i really needs to fix this.
  6. Well as far as I know based on the Comic Con panel last week...Spartan Points are what they will be called when the game launches. SP's are the new cR and will add to the level progression similar to Reach. There will indeed be a trueskill for ranked that only you the player can see. There will be 1-50 for that supposedly. For example, if you are a 50 and search within the Ranked playlist, you will be paired with other players who are 40+. There is another leveling system that is not necessarily separate. This leveling system will be your "social" level or general level that other players can see as well. As you level up and reach the max level you will unlock "specializations", similar to prestige where you get specialization specific armor skins, weapon skins, and traits. If you choose to level the "sniper" specialization for example you will get a specific armor and weapon skin as well as a trait that helps you snipe. i would suggest watching the overview of the Comic Con panel online.
  7. I dont use the call outs...thats my point. There should be an option to toggle the call outs and "blank was killed by blank" on and off. it takes up too much room on the screen in Halo Reach.
  8. And for anyone wondering, I have a 62" tv so the issue is not the size of the tv, it it s the programming in the game. I really just hope 343i fixes this
  9. So in Halo Reach when you play split screen with 4 people, the call outs and "blank was killed by blank" announcements cover most of the box and make it hard to see anything else. I really hope 343i fixes this and makes the call outs etc. be toggled on and off, or become translucent. I understand that many people don play 4 player split anymore, but some still do. Bungie really messed that aspect up with Reach. Any thoughts?
  10. At the Comic Con panel they said that Active Camo is returning. Jetpack, Evade, and Armor Lock are not. Jetpack and Evade have been replaced with Thruster which is a combination of the two. Drop shield and Regeneration shield could be coming back which could be cool. The only video I saw that featured the Sentry Turret showed it floating over the Flag in a CTF game and it was blown up pretty quick. it looks like it really only helps in getting assissts when youre not around
  11. @Victory Element: I dont know if the specialization traits take the place of one of the other perks. they did not elaborate on that. it still seems like a very hush hush element of the game. I would think that once you level a specialization it becomes an additional trait but who knows
  12. @Victory Element: you are correct that you get specialization specific armor, weapon skins, but at the Comic Con panel they also said that the specializations will carry traits for the specializations you choos, such as less bob while scoped sniping etc. I too hope that this does not cause any issues with gameplay balance. And I think your idea is correct, once one specialization is maxed you move onto the next. I was just looking for more clarification.
  13. Yeah just do a google search for the new ComicCon assassination video. it shows how the flag carrier can shove the flag in the enemy players head and the ball carrier performs an uppercut with the ball or skull. They said that there would be just as many/ if not more armor options than in Reach
  14. Just as Sn4zzle said, if you choose "sniper" you do not start with the sniper rifle. it only means that you have enhanced traiet for sniping, aka less bob while scoped and moving, etc. The specializations they mentioned were "sniper", "gunner", "assisstant", and "heavy" so Im guessing gunner is Assault Rifle, and Heavy is rockets or shotgun. But the actual names may change when the game comes out.
  15. Well at the Comic Con panel the lead designer of War Games aka Multiplayer said that the ones for the demo are just a small ammount of options available to the player. Some options will only become available from certain Specializations after the initial level cap has been reached by said player. Others will be available through spartan ops and war games leveling. I know in the new assassination video there was the ODST helmet also which I am fine with.
  16. So as of Comic-Con, Frank and the team confirmed that after the "Initial" ranks that a player goes through they reach the "Specialization" ranks. They said the Specialization ranks will be something along the lines of "sniper", "gunner", "assisstant" etc. and you get Specialization specific armor/weapon skins, emblems etc. My question is, once you successfully rank up through the initial ranks and choose a specialization, and once you fully rank up through the selected specialization such as "sniper", can you then choose to rank up through another specialization, such as "gunner"? Thanks all for the help
