  1. I'm pretty sure the Librarian confirmed that John had the Gaeas of a forerunner.she says something like, we have planted the seeds of history, and says she put specific genes in his DNA. This could be a stretch, but i think that means she could see the future, but she could definitely control destiny and fate, because She even planned Cortana.
  2. While I love the character Cortana, I honestly don't wan her to come back. What would we get out of that? Another game without her, where we have hope in saving her. I think that if she didn't come back, it would be better for the development of Chiefs character
  3. Wow, where to start? Forerunners weren't always mysterious, there's a book series about them for crying out loud! And it's been hinted that they aren't extinct ever since Halo 3. The Didact isn't dead, we just saw him fall into portal/beam thing, and we hear him narrating the epilogue, which automatically proves he's still alive. And the Chief doesn't need to stay faceless because Bungie has already given us a description of what he looks like. You gonna trade in all your Bungie games too? People have always wanted to see his face, and when the get a small glimpse, they go ape-s&!@ crazy. And at least 343 cares about the Halo universe and is incorparating the novels into their games, something Bungie didn't give a crap about. So while all these things may seem outrageous to you, I personally find it as a plus for the series. It's about time John showed his face.
  4. Its safe to say that the Didact is not dead, we don't see him die, and we hear him talk in the epilogue of the game, so he is alive
  5. The promethean knights were made out of ancient humans to fight the flood, and it was revenge for the war against the forerunners
  6. She updated his armor firmware when he was asleep. His armr used the nanobots in it to only slightly repair itself, hence the different armor appearance
  7. Someone else said it was added on, didn't mean that directly to you.
  8. 1. Because they broke off of Microsoft and Microsoft has the rights to Halo2. Because he is trying to be more "human", and he's not retiring. 3. This is a different faction from the covenant called the storm, and they still believe in the Great Journey. 4. He is not a new character. They have building up his character for 2 years in the books, so it was awesome seeing him in the game, and he's not dead. You can hear him talking in the epilogue.
  9. The Didact obviously didn't die because we hear him narrating the epilogue
  10. There's a shortage of UNSC ammo, but there is an abundance of ammo for covenant and promethean weapons, which helped me get used to them There's a shortage of UNSC ammo, but there is an abundance of ammo for covenant and promethean weapons, which helped me get used to them
  11. Best solution: Get a new sister
  12. Theyre Spartan IV's, not ODSTs. And I didn't think it would e that hard for people to understand. At the end if this campaign, Chief is tired. He has been wearing this armor for four years, and has saved humanity twice without taking it off. So when he has it taken off in front of all the Spartan IV's, he doesn't care about proving something to them or what they think, he just wanted to get it off, maybe because it reminded him of Cortana. And the comment Palmer made about him being taller? That's like a tease. There's no way chief would take that seriously. And throughout the game you can tell that the Spartan IV's respect him. Like when they all salute him after he defeats the Didact, and they were all staring at him when his armor was getting taken off out of respect for him. He's like a mythical hero to them. And the legendary "ending" where they show his eyes is real
  13. Then how do you explain Halsey being in the prologue? If you read Glasslands you'll find out
  14. ......there is campaign DLC. It's called Spartan Ops
  15. I agree with you 100%, but this is a community forum. Maybe 343 checks here every now and then, but its not an official site
  16. Exactly, and we know he's still alive, so he'll definitely be back for pay back in Halo 5 or 6
  17. You clearly didn't read the novels. In the books Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike. In these books you see things through his eyes and he has a lot of those sentimental moments. In First Strike, there's even a part where he just freezes out of fear. But he still is that awesome character, it's just that the games so far haven't mentioned his personality. And he does have a "badass" moment in the game where alot of people dies and he just shrugs it off. (Ivanoff Station). And the epilogue Tied in perfectly. It proved that John was trying to find his humanity for Cortana, which will probably affect Halo 5.
  18. Nope. John was born in 2511, and they first fought the covenant in 2526. They also had some missions against innie before then.
  19. Read Cryptum and Promordium and you'll find out how important he is to the halo universe
  20. Wow, ignorant much? I have to go school, and then I'll be able to play. Right now I'm on my way to school. And it's not necessary for you to know who she is, and it sounds like you understood her message so that's enough for you to know about her
  21. Could you at least have chosen a different title? Thanks for spoiling what I'm sure is a big part of the game for me. And yes, humanity and forerunners fought in a war before the firing of the halo rings. Humanity had a space-faring empire that rivaled the forerunners, so when they defeated us in war, they basically put us back into the Stone Age.
  22. I really don't know because around the web people are saying you have to install disc 2 before disc 1, so if that's not working I don't know what to tell you
  23. Did you install the second disk?
  24. no. last we heard, Kelly is on earth, along with the rest of blue team, but we don't know where she is in 2557
