You dont walk around, the Oculus is a visual device...to move you use a controller....

So some people may have heard of this nifty little device that dabbles in Virtual Reality? Maybe you haven't? Well the following excerpts from an article on Uweekly.com should tell you all you need to know, about a device that is coming to consumers relatively soon, a device that will revolutionise many game's.... Link to Article: http://uweekly.com/a...ulus-rift-5988/ Ever since the incredibly disappointing Virtual Boy launched in 1995, people have dreamed of virtual reality that actually had something to do with reality. While we haven’t really ever even been close to that point as consumers, we are sitting on the cusp of the next giant step. After a successful Kickstarter run earning upwards to $2.4 million, Oculus has made the move to put their technology into the hands of game developers and players. While it’s far easier to say than do, the way it works is pretty simple. Users wear a head mounted unit that contains two displays, one for each eye, as well as sensors for tracking the movement of the users’ head. These sensors translate your movement to the software, which in turn relays new imagery to the screens. In practice, what you get is the ability to see where you actually turn your head to look. Imagine playing Call of Duty and hearing gunfire or an explosion off to your right. Instead of moving your mouse or stick on your gamepad to the right, you’d simply just turn your head to see what caused the noise. It’s a subtle difference mechanically, but it translates into a far more realistic and immersive form of entertainment. Initially, the Oculus Rift had two 5.6” screens but due to trouble with the supply of said screens and the success of their Kickstarter, they’ve moved on to far better 7” screens. Each screen has a resolution of 640x800 giving the user an effective resolution of 1280x800 and a horizontal field of view of 90 degrees. While this resolution is fairly low compared to higher end monitors and head mounted displays from other companies, Oculus is aiming for an effective resolution of 1920x1080 for the consumer version. One of the most difficult issues involved in creating a truly immersive virtual reality unit is the latency, or delay in response time from when a user moves to when that movement is reflected. The Oculus Rift had previously implemented trackers from a third party that were not quite fast enough to portray the users movements immediately. In response to this, Oculus has developed their own in house tracker that polls at four to eight times faster than it’s predecessor and although it’s still not perfect, cutting out unnecessary latency will make for a far more realistic environment. Everything Oculus has done so far points to a new way for gamers to play their games. With names like John Carmack and Gabe Newell on board, the Oculus Rift has the backing from the industry it needs to be successful. The cost and launch window aren’t known at this time, but Oculus believes it will be ready to bring the Rift to the public sometime in 2013. I suspect I will be placing an order as soon as it’s available. Syko's Note: So this Nifty device seem's to have the backing to become very successful, so long as they begin porting it to Xbox games....such as, oh i dunno..Dead Space 3.... I think i will enjoy this device greatly...

Nice job, the only Criticism I can give is that some sentences were a little to short, im not sure if that was intentional or not, but maybe link them with story pauses.......<--- like that, i use that to add the short silence effect.. Other then that, I like it so far

Bauer responded to Ty.. "Ty this is Bauer, im held up in a hallway with a squad of marines, comms array 1 and 2 are up and running, auto defence turrets are active in some parts of the ship and....well thats all i know so far, tell me if you need any assistance, i can shut this hallway down and get this squad to your position" Bauer continued firing at the flood, holding his position with the marines.

Bauer ran into a squad of marines holding down a large hallway , using containers as a barrier. "You , Marine whats your name?!" Yelled Bauer at the Marine who seemed in charge ""Names Sgt Coplin sir, we came onboard through the Aft hanger, but we got pushed back here when we lost half the platoon" yelled out the marine over the gunfire "Here, let me help" Bauer stated as he stepped forward and gripped an assault rifle, training it on the flood forms rushing towards him and opening fire, ripping several of the forms apart before they could get close. Bauer emptied his clip and slipped in a new clip before firing once again, suppressing the flood forms rushing towards them. "This is Bauer, changing Objective to the Aft Hanger, im currently stalled at section 6 Hallway Deck 13, I need some assistance" Bauer chimed over the comms

"Im on my way now" Bauer chimed in as he sprinted down the hallway to the next objective, taking down flood carriers that littered his path. His Magnum in one hand, knife in the other..Bauer was ready for what was to come

Bauer slipped his knife out of its holster and tore through various flood forms, splattering his armour with green rotten flesh... His DMR lay on the floor empty and the magnum in his left hand never stopped firing, until he reloaded. Flood lay all around the comm array control rooms floor, in various states of death. "I need assistance here now!!!" Bauer yelled over the comms

"I hope you guys aren't resting up, there are no Auto Turrets in the nerve centres of the ships, we cant risk losing valuable equipment!" Bauer yelled He stepped on several flood forms, destroying them instantly before firing his DMR again, taking down several flood forms in a hail of shots. He rammed his DMR into the closest flood form, tearing its head off. Bauer slid out his magnum and open fired with both weapons, leaving several flood forms dead on the floor.

Perhaps we should just announce Frog as the winner of this and move onto the next set of riddles? If you all agree that is? Oh and the winner of this round has to make the next post and get it pinned

(Sorry ive been really busy lately :/ ill make up a reason why bauer wasnt there) Bauer swiftly moved through the corridors, hosing down the flood with shots from his DMR. "This is Bauer, infestation has taken hold of the comm array on C Deck, I'll try to clear it out" Bauer stepped through the door and opened fire on the nearest flood forms that shambled towards him. The first 3 shots ripped through the floods upper body, disintegrating its neck and letting its head fall to the floor. Bauer turned and fired at the second and third flood forms, getting in several fatal hits to their limbs, leaving them dead on the floor in a mess of green flesh and bits of armour. A swift kick to another flood form left it on the floor with a hole in its right shoulder. Another flood form was gripped by Bauer and ripped in half in a frenzy....Bauer was getting heated and he roared into the comms "Come get some you ugly mothers!!!"

Isaac Clarke is in my top 3 game characters of all times mainly due to his humanity.... i loved the first game, adored the second..... Dead Space is just so well done...

Spartan Ops Episode 7 The Full Cutscene has been released for the next episode of Spartan ops and I for one am excited, it looks amazing and full of action. Spartan ops truly revolutionises gameplay by keeping audiences playing the game, for the story, long after they have finished the campaign. Watch as Dr Halsey takes control to try and get her hands on Librarian. She isn't the only problem that the Infinity faces though, as a horde of Promethean Knights invades the ship.
