  15. As more new's about the Playstation 4 reveals itself, some people forget the other products being developed by Sony, one such is the Android Handset Sony Xperia Z. "The phone is waterproof and dust proof — so, not surprisingly, it feels solid and high-quality in your hand. There’s no cheap plastic here, so common on other Android handsets" "The Xperia Z felt fast while bouncing around Android’s interface and switching between apps. You can thank its 1.5 gigahertz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2 GB of RAM for that. It’s not the only speedy Android phone around, but it’s certainly one of the most refined. LG's Nexus 4, for example, also sports a glass rear, but it feels incredibly cheap and garish compared to the Xperia Z. At this point, I hope that Google ends up tapping Sony for its future Nexus phone. (No, I’ll never get over the cheesy semi-holographic design on the rear of the Nexus 4)" "Pricing and availability for the Xperia Z hasn’t been announced yet. Sony also introduced the Xperia ZL this week, a slightly thicker (but also smaller) phone without the dust and water resistant case" Source: http://venturebeat.com/2013/01/11/sony-xperia-z-handson/#vb-gallery:2:602872
  16. The following if from an article on MCVUK.com Advertisements on the Xbox Live dashboard won't be going away anytime soon, as Microsoft has revealed plans to invest further into the space. Gamespot reports the first wave of 'natural user-interface ads', or just NUads, deployed in Q4 2012 were “highly successful,” in the words of Microsoft. According to the firm, 37 per cent of Xbox Live users engaged in some way with NUads when prompted with a vote option. Of the 37 per cent, 71 per cent actually voted in a poll. "These results show that NUads is a real breakthrough in TV advertising, and you can expect more investment from us when it comes to this new ad format and video advertising in general," said Microsoft general manager of Xbox Live entertainment and advertising Ross Honey. Syko's Note: So it looks like more Ad's on the way, it isn't a terrible thing to be honest, some ad's can be helpful more then other's, this is true...however the more money they bring in from this, the less the next Xbox will cost (hopefully) Source: http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/microsoft-xbox-live-ads-a-success-more-investment-on-the-way/0109172
  17. The Razer Edge Pro Gaming Tablet is a new little tablet created by...yes you guessed it RAZER the company best known for it's amazing Gaming Mice, keyboards and controllers. It packs in an Intel Core i7 dual-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz, 8GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GT 540M LE graphics chip, Windows 8, a 265GB SSD and a 10.1-inch display with a 1366x 768-pixel resolution. It also allows for many nifty accessories to be added such as gaming console like buttons and other such devices to convert it into a handhold console basically. It also packs in an external HDMI and USB connectors to plug into a TV and add additional Xbox 360-like controllers, for two-player simultaneous gaming. You can use the dock with a larger-screen monitor or TV, or as a standalone device. A lucky few got to try it hands on..... This magnificent device will retail for a pricey $1000 on the low end and $1400 on the high end, so while it is VERY flashy, it will cost you a few bucks. Your assured quality for you money though. It is set to be released on shelves during the first quarter of this year. Source: Myself, i wrote this in my words from several different pieces of news...
  18. The following is extracted from an article by IGN This week's blog post on Halo Waypoint is all about the future of Halo, as 343 Industries' Franchise Development Director Frank O'Connor speaks candidly about the successes and failures of Halo 4. The developer is learning from itself. "We made a lot of mistakes.... There are a ton of things we wish we'd done better: Features that didn’t make it into the final game. Glitches that emerged. Missteps made. DLC fiascos. Communication breakdowns," O'Connor says. "But there were things that went astonishingly well – the creation of a genuinely competitive AAA studio chief among them. A collection of talent and souls that can do something genuinely amazing on this and next-generation hardware." O'Connor and 343 are, of course, extremely proud of Halo 4, which received a remarkable 9.8 score from IGN, and won IGN's Best Xbox 360 Game of the Year award. Before Halo makes the jump to the next Xbox, Halo 4 will see numerous updates. Spartan Ops returns this month alongside a series of new multiplayer hopper rotations. Here's what the next month looks like: Week of 1/21 Spartan Ops Episode 6: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic. "Forge Test" playlist (name not final): A rotational hopper featuring small Forge maps such as Relay. Help us test these maps by providing feedback and reporting bugs that will assist us in getting them ready for Matchmaking! Specializations: Pioneer and Pathfinder Specializations unlocked for all players. Week of 1/28 Spartan Ops Episode 7: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic. Grifball playlist: A rotational hopper featuring everybody’s favorite virtual sport. Catch the disease! Specializations: Engineer and Stalker Specializations unlocked for all players. Week of 2/4 Spartan Ops Episode 8: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic. Team Doubles playlist: A rotational hopper for those of you that like action of the 2 vs 2 variety. Specializations: Rogue and Tracker Specializations unlocked for all players. The Majestic Map Pack arrives later on February 25, which is also around the time we'll see a title update (details to come). IGN will have extensive Majestic coverage, including a ton of video content, in the coming weeks. Syko's Note: This is probably long awaited new's for those out there who were asking for it. Hope you hear what you want to hear, and i am for one happy this was finally released. Link To Article: http://au.ign.com/ar...pdates-next-gen
