I would put the exp system in the trash implement a rank based on W/L and K/D. Increase the time it takes for a weapon to despawn on the map. Fix Killcams, and if I cant well then I would take it out. Give the vehicles a slight buff because cmon they are so fragile. Release more maps on launch. Nerf DMR one way or another, its accuray at long range is silly. Fix the problems people have with forge and cutoms. Hmm...did I miss anything? And if all this meant putting back the release date then I would definatly do that.

They should rename this forum to complaint FEST.
Real Talk replied to TransientHalo's topic in Halo 4
He was not complaining. He just merely stated why people "complain" and how it helps improve the game. -
There are a few things I would like to point out. We did not have firefight in Halo 3. 343 is made up of at most 10% previous bungie employees. And dual wielding needler has been gone since Halo 3 so they did not really take it away. Some things that should have made this list would be weapon despawning ( Its literally like 10 seconds) Killcams (If you cant do it right why add it?) Anyways I agree with you on some of your points like scoring, I much rather preffered kill based. And I will meet you halfway on map size, some just dont really work. (Vortex is the worst. Ever.) As for team playing, yea halo has mostly been around team based playlist, (Team Slayer, CTF, BTB). FFA has been the only playlist when you are not on a team.

Its a trap!! But no really it does suck that your experience isnt great, I definetly had a better time with Halo 3, but thats probably because back then everyone on my friends list played it. Now only like 5 of them have it :/

Zelda keeps dem Green members in check. Congratulations !
-
Exactly. People just have to deal with the randoms they team up with leaving. If they dont like it then get your own team that you are confident wont leave and stop complaining about the randoms.
-
You are assuming people care about the penalty they will receive.
-
Added to the intial high price there will probably be a few issues with the launch consoles. (RRoD anyone?) I will buy it once the H5 edition comes out
-
Sorry to say but the CoD killcams are way more accurate than Halo 4's. Honestly if 343 couldnt do it right why put it in at all?

Must say I am interested. Need more information!

Yea I found Halo 3's experience better than Halo 4. From what I remember I had more fun but its just the beginning so we will see what Halo 4 has in store.
-
I agree with you, EXP cap is just ridiculous and they have Double EXP going on, people will obviously max out 2x faster.
-
This. Like it or not people will quit for various reasons regardless of the penalty. JIP is better than being left by yourself because your team quit and there is no JIP. No matter the penalty people will quit. And if its to severe people will complain when accidents happen (internet drops, power goes out, etc).
-
Yea vehicles are so weak compared to the older ones. I miss the old Scorpion.
-
The funny thing is an 8 year old could have made a post that contributes more than you. And Cortar it also already been said the JIP may not always work in seconds but its better than having no JIP at all. And as said before if you really need one player to do your entire teams work (Stopping mantis, kill laser guy, and kill the enemy team) you need to find a group to play with rather than randoms. (Based on your scenario)

I have not been flip flopping at all...from the beginning I have talked about how in the long run the minutes add up of waiting for a perfect match. You do not always find someone imeadiately, true, but its quick in most cases. Which is good, still requires tweeking though. It still remains, starting uneven is not so bad when you have a Drop in system. If this occurred in Halo 3 of course it would be unacceptable...there was no joining in once the match locked up. The reason why more games are allowed to start uneven is because of the Drop in system. It helps speed up matchmaking and fill in the spots when people leave. Sometimes not quickly but hey it fills the empty spot.
-
I dont know what games you have been playing but it does not take me minutes for someone to fill a gap in my team. It takes less than a minute. And starting uneven is acceptable when teams fill out by the time you spawn or within a few seconds. Whats not acceptable about that if it speeds up finding matches. An extended amount of time ranges from a minute to 5 minutes in some extreme cases more. They start adding up after a while. In your OP you dont mention leavers....unless you are talking about people who "couldn't wait more than 5 seconds before the next match started" ? And what is your definition of leavers exactly? People who leave mid game and while the map is being voted? Because if ts the second one then your nearly 100% leavers statistic leads to the nearly 100% games that start uneven.

They should allow you to move but still stop you from boarding for the regular time.

Yea I kind of felt like Rio didnt like the Chief at all, and not just because Rio was losing it. I dont know if someone already said it but dont I remember Rio calling Chief an old man, something like that? i would think the saviour of everything would get more respect than being called an old man. Just to refresh everyones memory. Its in the first 2 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=6ezJiksHJwM&NR=1

Yea like it or not camping is a strategy. Now keeping control of an area of the map can be called "camping on the move" and a lot of people do that.
-
Some people cant play 2 or more matches. Whats so hard to understand? They have other things to do and they want to play the most they can the quickest. He was giving you an example of the importance of finding a match quickly. And as I have said before if you do start uneven teams will balance out within the first moments of the game. Sometimes even before the game starts. This especially helps out when people leave mid game for w/e reason, connection issues or ragequit. And lets say that it is close to 100% that they do start uneven. Within the first 5 seconds 90% of those games have balanced teams. The DIDO system gives more flexibility in starting uneven because it puts players in quickly. I will credit you on joining a game where the flag is halfway to the enemy team it sucks. But claiming that people are immature because they do not have the time to wait an extended amount of time in pre game lobby is not really debunking.
-
These are not counter points? Maybe you should learn to read first. Marcus made good points compares to your "what?". And the 5% and 100% are such exagerations....just stop. Halo 3's "leavers" were more than 5%.
-
When I said half the time in pre game lobby I meant total time played in one sitting.... Your points have already been countered by marcus. And I have never rage quitted in my games because unlike you I am not bad. If you cant deal being one member down for the first 15 seconds you must be pretty bad. Try and contribute more to the team next time you are down a man. The DIDO system fills in spots pretty quick, not always, but most the time its fine. Nothing is perfect.
-
If the game is less than halfway done than it makes sense to put people in. However if most the games done then no one should be put into the match. The DIDO system just needs to be tweeked.
-
I thought they were better in Halo 4 but in the end they all met the same fate. They all died, at least most.
