dual wielding is just unnecessary, the pistol is accurate and strong enough for close range, as are most of the smaller single handed weapons. I don't think any of the halo weapons are being called into question for "lacking in killing power" so I would say dual wielding would either speed up gameplay, which can be a bad thing at times especially on what range dual weilding would potentially be effective and then potentially taking away from your mid to long range weapons. Its just one more thing that would unbalance the game. Worked in halo 2 to a degree but other then smg/pistol and pp/plasma rifle dual wielding wasent seen much. The fact that covenant weapons strip away shields and human strips away health, makes a deadly combo. Adding probably wouldnt hurt the game, i just dont think theres much of a point.

as long as they figure out how to use a jet pack with bumper jumper ill be happy.

ive been hoping between reach and h3 lately. I must say I enjoy running the flag much more on 3. I realize my horn idea makes no sense, but I think you should get some sort of a boost when the horn is used (explain it away how you will i dont care) so when you smash into people with the hog they just go flying. For the most part I can smash anything with a hog, but i also tend to always be the driver. As most people like racking up the kills. I'm just saying give me something more to do while driving. a radio. anything lol

I googled it, mostly found stuff from 4 months ago. I am absolutely for it, as it was a simple trade off, speed for invisibility. I normally would do a bit of both, walking the direction I would go but 2/5ths the way there start juggling. The announcer going on and off was a serperate issue, you shouldnt sit here and argue that a sound in a game should effect a game mechanic. Thats almost saying the warthog should go faster if hold down the horn. Which I think it should but thats a seperate argument lol... Has 343 said anything about it at any point?

I think your mistaking "noobness" for bad game mechanics. AL sucked because it slowed down game play and more less was just a cheap way to avoid explosions/beatdowns. As far as pp goes, lets keep in mind.. halo 2's plasma pistol had ridiculous tracking, and any mlg fan from halo 2 should remember walshy double shotting the crap out of falicy mid sanctuary while falicy full shield went at him with charged pp. actually this video 4 minutes in, a good watch (^.^) http://youtu.be/6JoAQOiqKRg your going to run into kids who camp and act like little idiots and take advantage of corners and stuff but just be the better player and find a way around it. Halo has always been a game that rewards aggressiveness, even more so aggressive team work. Your worried about close quarters combat with the plasma pistol but the emp would more then likely effect you if your to close, and the same camping around corners can be done with sword, shotgun, camo, rockets, really theres a list. Either way its not something I would stress over, halo is about balance and once you kinda grasp how powerful each weapon is you learn to play that version of halo and life moves on. 343 is going to have plenty of options for us to customize stuff I'm sure and any major issues would just be patched. -Edited for language by moderator. Not to be rude, but I'm not looking for forgiveness and I stand by my insult, would not of said it otherwise. The rest of you seem like a decent group of human beings, but you can't account for his intent on what he wrote and it was rude, otherwise he wouldn't of changed it. Is he a bad person?! Anyway, yea, hi, im Overdriive, you will either see me a lot! on line or not at all... lets see how things go with halo 4, played halo since day 1, mid halo 2 to last year played halo on AVERAGE every day 3-5 hours or... more like 10-13 hours every other day... lol. .. I'm lazy, and always broke. I like MLG (^.^)b (start h8n) But I like all aspects of halo. Watched the entire run through of Reach on legendary 4 player co-op with 2 of my friends 2 weeks before reach came out. I always get my halo copys free because I spank everyone at the best buy I get my copys from when they hold a tournament that i also seceretly run from the backround but dress in normal clothes as to not make anyone mad (we give away more then 1 copy) Ive done over night runthroughs of halo one, two, 3 and reach. I am very excited for h4, done right it can be the best of 3 competitive worlds combined. dmr, br, pistol, and i hoep to see the carbine come back. I hope we get individual damage controls sthat are seperated by beat down damage and bullet damage, maybe even based on class. The more options the better (^.^)b hopefully halo 4 is the next halo (^.^)b thats a load of crap im not broke lol, im just starting to feel bad that i cant say that anymore, its weird lol (im not rich im just not broke lol)

your missing my point entirely. Above and beyond any of that I couldnt care how long a single person spent writing posts on a single forum. I'm not 12. The fact that he has been here that long, his post should of read something more like "I don't know personally, but you may have better luck here at http...w/e/................../com" and not "This. is a community forum. go here." in fact after scrolling up, op has editied post to look less disrespectful Im saying be more respectful to new people or they will go somewhere else and your site wont grow. no, he just told me a question like that in his expert opinion should be asked elsewhere.. as it stands the question remains unanswered. Maybe the question is better suited for that site, maybe that is true. But I was asking THIS site, in a forum whos description again is "discuss anything related to halo 4" and everyone whos posted at one time or another has posted something they needed to look up, but new where the information is, so will normally get the information, post a link to it, and say yes here it is, or no here it is, or we dont know. I looked, found nothing, so I was asking what is possibly the SECOND largest site if they might know but instead got a smart ass answer to go to a different site. I have like 4 posts, if you take the time to have well thought out posts instead of dropping a line and a link to be rude more people to join the site and less people will have such a negative outlook on gamers.

If he knows where the information is, he probably knows the information himself. Also, he wasen't telling me where the information was, he redirecting me as if my post offended him because its a question that he feels isint suitable for a "community forum." If I ask a question on a forum, theres only really one person who should be answering it, and thats the person who has the information I require. If you dont have the information, then your useless, why did you click on the post to begin with? Sure, maybe you got curious and wanted to read the OP, but you don't have the information. So what do you do? A.) move on with your life or B.) start **** online for no reason other then to do so because you think you have some type of official say. If the post doesn't fit, it will die off because no one will answer it, and the admins will eventually delete it or it will be lost in the endless sea of random posts. tl;dr dont start **** to start ****, do something more useful with your time. Im not worried about how it works, im more interested in being given the option to adjust the the damage done by beatdowns seperated from the weapons damage, or do damage based on weapons weight? idk

Are we seeing a return of video assassinations? I liked the idea of a long hold vs tap but it was finicky. I am excited to see best of the pistols, dmr, and br players get thrown into one game together, Its my understanding that armor lock is out so correct me if I'm wrong there. Do we know what maps we are getting? I swear i saw a narrows remake but that may already be old news. Grenades look ok, do we know how the blast radius is? Halo reach beta nades were insane lol
