My car Mido won herself $50 from being the staff pick of a photo contest! It was held on XenonSupply's facebook page as a contest showing off customer's cars that installed their lights. Mido won with this picture: Sorry, I was so happy I had to share the great news.

One of my first forays into HDR imaging. This was my first HDR image of a set I took altogether as a photo shoot. She looks pretty fine if I do say so myself. -
Pictures of my car! I've named her Mido, which is short for Midori. In Japanese, Midori means green. And if you haven't noticed by now, my favorite color is green.

The front half of the ship made it through the portal back to Earth. The back half, the side Chief and Cortana were stranded on, was cut off, but still made it through the portal. They simply didn't travel all the way back to Earth. Because of the Ark's location, it has no background stars to be near. If the ship were even remotely close to the Ark, these stars we are looking at wouldn't be there. And they most certainly are stars as they are surrounded by nebulous gas. Because of the presence of stars, this shows that the ship did travel back within the galactic disc. However, it did not make it all the way back to Earth. This makes me wonder if a straight line distance from Earth through the Pleiades cluster and out a few hundred thousand light years would send us back to the Ark's location outside of our Galaxy. For additional information about the Pleiades Cluster, click here. EDIT: I just found another interesting source of information located here. It talks about the distances of Human-controlled space.

Not a problem, when I found this site, I was pretty amazed at how constantly active it seems to be. Great outlet for socializing without going anywhere haha. I'll be able to get far more involved with the forums this weekend. Do expect to see me around here quite frequently from now on.

Hello all, some of you may have seen me in the shout box for a little bit before I made this. I totally forgot, tonight's been spent doing nothing but watching Halo cut scenes and browsing the wiki for it. But I've been a fairly avid Halo fan, but I'm mostly interested in just the story. I'd play the games just for the juicy cut scenes and finding out more info. I recently noticed something about Requiem, but that can be seen in the topic I made after discussing it in the shoutbox. I'm a Marine in the USMC, been in for about four and a half years now. Decided to join the forums after suddenly going on the Halo wikifest earlier tonight. I enjoy programming, image, audio, and video editing. I also love music, mostly preferring Alternative Rock, and Electronic music. I'm beginning to get into cars, as my name might imply.

Also note, that the planet could lie behind the cluster, and we could be seeing them from the far side looking towards Earth. It could potentially be much further away than just the 391-456ly that we know of. It could also be why not every single star seen in telescopic images appears in the nebula.

I had a quick chat about this on the shoutbox, and decided to post about it here. But has anyone noticed that the stars in the background of the final Halo 3 Cinematics, and the first Halo 4 trailer look like the Pleiades star cluster?
