  1. Correct on the Spartan II's! Correct on the Spartan III's as well, every candidate survived the augmentation process to become a Spartan. Although some of the augmentations were altered this time round, so over time they'd lose brain function, and they could function even if they went into shock, and a medical injection was introduced regularly to counteract the brain function loss over time (I think). And they were mass produced as well, with less survival odds, basically used for extreme suicide missions. They used Semi-Powered Infiltration armour, more advanced then ODST armour, but far lass advanced then the MJLONIR armour, it focused on stealth rather then strength, and had special photo-reactive panels that mimicked the environment (camouflage). I'm not sure about the augmentations and armour use for the Spartan IV's. Apparently (according to Halo wiki) they were Adult volunteers, and surviving members from previous programmes were invited to become a part of the Spartan IV project. They were also augmented to wear a variation of the MJOLNIR Gen2 armour! Hope that has helped, and like you, if someone reads this and believes I have made a mistake, go ahead and correct me It does mention Noble team, but it looks as if the game, Halo: Reach, just blows lore right out of the equation :/ Maybe others agree with me, it'll be interesting to see
  2. It'll be interesting if Halsey is in Halo 4. Because at the end of Glasslands, she's arrested for her crimes and is detained by ONI. Admiral Margaret Parangosky then tells her she's from then on announced deceased to the rest of the UNSC until Margaret says otherwise. And then I believe Margaret get's her to work on something far from the Spartan IV project and UNSC Infinity construction. But perhaps that'll all change when Glassland's sequel comes out in October. I for one hope she doesn't appear on Requiem, after trying to bully Prone To Drift (Engineer on Onyx Shield World), she's not in my good books > The other Spartans from Onyx I'd love to see in Halo 4, it would make a nice addition to help expand on the character of Master Chief.
  3. I wouldn't mind going through 1 - 50 again and again. Just means more hours gaming!
  4. And with all these new options, there's a vast number of varieties that a team can use to use against the other team, let's take the Stalker specialization as an example; Team doubles - Unknown map One of the members of Red team is killed by a member of Blue team. The Red team member has the Stalker specialization, meaning he can see the person that killed him, and track him. The Blue team member, who killed one of the members of Red team, has Promethean Vision on his loadout, and so can track the Red team member with the Stalker specialization, and be prepared. As you see, a member from each team has something in their loadouts to track the opposite teams player, fight fire with fire. And with all these customizations, comes a whole range of fighting fire with fire. And with these customizations, you can define your loadouts to not only your playstyle, but to combat other loadouts as well. Let's not forget the equations of Reaction time, shot placement, things like that
  5. The Stalker will be fantastic for those looking to get their revenge on a player. That's difficult to do at the moment, because you have to remember their GT, whereas in Gears of War, you know who the person is by their character. Engineer and Tracker will be great as well, it'll definitely be a warm welcome to those who fall in love with Infinity Slayer. I'll probably use Wetwork, it'll hopefully help me because I wear Turtle Beach, so by dampening the sounds my Spartan makes when moving around, it's easier to hear enemies. I absolutely can't wait to try all this new stuff that 343i are bringing to the table. It's fantastic to see the creativity of the minds of the people that are passionate about the franchise that they have been given to work upon. The waiting is excruciating!
  6. That's what I'm thinking haha, I'm not going to take it for granted until Frank imparts his wisdom or someone else at 343i says anything ! I have a feeling it could be right, but I guess we'll get a 100% comfirmation when someone at 343i tells us, or if Halo: The Thursday War tells us more about the project when it releases!
  7. No doubt I will, get my hands on my LE copy. And then experience all the feels as I play through the campaign And then pay for the electric bill at the end of the month >.>
  8. Apparently so. According to Halo wiki, the Spartan IV project consists of Adult volunteers. I think it would be safe to presume these adults would of had extensive training as a Marine prior to being contacted about being part of the new Spartan project?
  9. The campaign, I've missed Master Chief, it'll be great explore a new story with him
  10. Could you refresh my memory for me, please? I don't remember reading Spartan IV's having super soldier enhancements? I know that some of the Spartan IV's could be surviving members of previous programmes, so they count for the super solider enhancements, but what about the marines? Or are the enhancements completely different this time round, and are perfected for the Spartan IV candidates due to their age group? Thank you for helping clearing it up for me, I don't want you to take this as a negative response. Hopefully we learn more about the Spartan IV programme in Halo: The Thursday War. EDIT: Decided to use the internet, and found out the people of the Spartan IV programme WERE augmented. I should of looked online before asking, sorry about that
  11. Well at first I'm hoping they'll struggle, this is basically Contact Harvest all over again, Humans encounter a new Alien civilisation, so they're in a rough situation already, no information of what the enemy are, their military structure, their weapon capabilities, weaknesses etcetera. But we know that the Spartan IV's are compiled of Marines, and I believe ODST's/Spartans from previous programmes as well? (I wonder if the Spartan's that are re-rolled into the Spartan IV programme will be easily recognisable from their marine counterparts in terms of ability and strength, which would be a nice touch). And with Human's technology advancements, especially the recovery of Forerunner technology from the Onyx shield world, AND the Engineer's from the Onyx shield world, the Spartan IV's will probably not struggle for long, and show the enemy they mean business. It'll be like the Forerunner-Human wars. It's almost identical for Halo 4's situation, instead of Flood, we have Covenant. And I...believe I've rambled of and avoided the topic discussion, I do apologise
