  1. Ryu Hayabusa, a member of the forums here, was saying he noticed an opponent in an Infinity Slayer match who had Overshield 5 or 6 times and he only had 15 kills. I know that all other medals contribute to Ordnance Drops, but the amount of times he had it was ridiculous.
  2. Cry about it... naaah, I'm kidding. It does sound like some of their challenges have been buggy and either completing, resetting, or lacking accuracy. I would think they'd address it soon. Not sure if you should contact them personally, but bs angel has said that they are working towards rewarding those who complete it since they track every single kill/death/etc. each player gets.
  3. You don't need to get 8 headshots with the Carbine, nor do you need 5 headshots with the BR. You just need to place that many shots on the opponent's body to pop their shields, which is when you go for 1 headshot. Since the Carbine has a much faster RoF, 7 shots to the body and 1 to the head shouldn't be that big of a deal compared to 4 and 1 with the BR; actually, if you land every shot perfectly, the Carbine has a faster kill time than the BR. It's a pro-weapon that only the top 1% of Halo 4 players should use. I'm pretty good with it, and only getting better.
  4. The jetpack built into his suit is used more or less for just cutscenes and canon only. Obviously we can't use his "built-in" jetpack when he has Promethean Vision or Camo equipped, since only 1 AA can be equipped at once.
  5. Definitely a great idea (especially with Sprint being standard now) but I don't think it will ever be incorporated into War Games for H4. 343i has too many other important things to take care of (such as the CSR system) before we ever see anything like this.
  6. Of course they care about what the customers and players think. They just don't want the entire player-base spread across too many playlists. They started with 7 or 8 gametypes to get a good idea, and they'll build off of that each and every week. Especially when the Competitive Skill Ranking drops in early 2013, there will be Ranked and Social matches, so there will be plenty to be offered. People need to remember that this game is still very young in it's lifespan. Patience is a virtue.
  7. I'm guessing "Butterflying" might mean Rocketlunging or Sniperlunging, where the reticule turns red and you switch from Rockets to Sword and it launches you towards their position? That was my favorite to execute in-game and surprise the hell out of someone.
  8. Or maybe they just didn't have it tweaked right the first time around? Do think they had a conference debating the despawn time of weapons to match that of CoD's because they are trying to imitate a different game that has sold more? Pretty imbecilic deduction.
  9. You're definitely getting matched up with higher skill ranks. I wish the Carbine was as beastly as it looked in the before-H4 vids.

  13. The Flood is tied in deeply with Forerunners and Precursors; I could see them making either a short or long appearance in H5 or H6.

  15. 343i stated that all 8 Specializations will be available to anyone who plays Halo 4 by November 20th, despite buying the Limited Edition or not. My question is when will these become available? I'm currently a WK-59, 9 levels through Wetwork. I want to enlist in Rogue next, but it's not available yet (not interested in Operator quite yet). I'm thinking that they might throw them in this Monday (although it's only the 19th) since that is when they seem to implement their weekly changes/updates. Has anyone heard anything?

  17. The boltshot isn't OP at all. It's single fire mode is terrible. It's charge shot is timed and also consumes half the clip. It's charge shot only kills a little bit past melee range. Plasma Pistol charge shot + melee kills just the same. Magnum 3 shots + melee kills just the same. It makes a charging noise that you can't miss. All weapons are "OP" in their own way. It just depends how you use them, under what conditions, and in what scenarios. Adapt or die.
  18. Go-to weapons - DMR/LR, Boltshot. Favorite weapons to use - Sticky Detonator, Supressor, Carbine
  19. The entire last level is the boss fight. Try taking on 8 Knights, 8 Watchers, and 30 Crawlers on Legendary. Definitely boss-status.
  20. The XP Cap is in place so that people who either play too much or boost couldn't create such a huge gap between them and people who just picked up the game. I heard that they weren't getting rid of it, but they were raising it a little bit higher (like 20,000 XP or so). You'll be good to go tomorrow morning.
  21. ...I agree...If it was maybe Installation 04 since they were building another one that would make sense, but I don't see the logic in Installation 05. Who will the riddler be if he doesn't respond?
