  1. ...because it gives the player an incentive to try and become better and flaunt a higher number than someone else. I know it's extremely tacky and egotistical, but it makes sense when someone says they're a level 20 and you get to say you're a level 25.
  2. Yeah, if you use the Thruster Pack in midair, it'll thrust you parallel to the ground in whichever direction your thumbstick is pointing.
  3. This is what I'm afraid of. I love Halo. Everything about it. What attracts me is the canon/storyline, and what keeps me playing is because I'm a skilled player and I love the multiplayer. I'm only afraid that since there isn't a "ranking" system returning, a lot of the player-base will get bored after they hit level 50 and have everything they need. merrr.
  4. I mean, I think it would be better if every UNSC Marine was equipped was dual-wielded Energy Swords, but you don't see that happening now, do you? ...Sorry, I had to...
  5. I just can't wait to see Halo 4's antagonist emerge from the Cryptum, no matter who is it
  6. Since I don't believe the SAW is a choice for your Primary Weapon, is it in Ordnance Drops?
  7. I think it's a great idea because it eliminates camping and time/position control. Say rockets spawn at 7:00, 5:00, 3:00, you're going to have a skilled team shift their position towards rocket spawn to make sure to 1. use them, and 2. have the other team not use them. With these ordnance drops, they're random in location, which will eliminate exactly what I said above.
  8. I'm just pumped that I'm getting Oceanic. Had NO idea Walmart was that cool.
  9. What they essentially did is took the entire Reach level process, from Recruit to Inheritor, and they crammed in inside levels SR1 to SR50 and added unlocks at certain milestones. This way they theoretically are appeasing players who wanted a 1-50 leveling system, although it by no means reflects their skill.
  10. Next thing you know, people will want UNSC Frigates with MAC cannons in Matchmaking...
  11. I really like the creative drawback of having a red laser point exactly where it's coming from...or else your pinky toe is going to get you killed.
  12. I saw someone a month back make a snazzy rendering of a Knight's head into a Spartan helmet, and it looked perfect. Nothing too crazy about it.
  13. This entire thread is full of baffoonery. The title was too long, OP's grammar is atrocious, and no, there will be not dual-wielding swords. There are about 30 helmets known so far. YES, you will find one that you like.
  14. So happy that Commendations are returning...I have 92% in Reach, about to be 93%. I am a little pissed that the Ranking System doesn't implement true skill rankings though...
  15. I know GUNGNIR is returning, but it has definitely been augmented since it's Reach counterpart.
  16. Gotcha. Wow, Halo is so profound. So much knowledge and interesting factoids that the common Halo player has no idea about. I've started to do research on the Ancient Evil, or AE. Although the Didact was uncovered from a script in a 343i ViDoc, I am starting to question Faber, or the Master Builder as the AE. I know there are a ton of holes in the logic here, but the Didact never directed resented humanity, he only was jealous because the Precursors said that the Mantle as originally meant for them. Faber's death has never been confirmed, only hinted at the destruction of Installation 07. I was reading a thread earlier on Bungie's forums which was way too much to type over here, but it definitely proposes a semi-plausible idea.
  17. You know what I meant, obviously his entire entity was not infused, but his mind and memories were a basis on which 343GS was structured.
  18. I definitely see the Mantis playing a huge role in popular custom games. Imagine recreating the war scene in Matrix Revolutions with multiple Mantis'...
  19. Yes, I know, I was trying to point out that the Ur-Didact was left to be devoured by the Flood.
  20. I thought that the Ur-Didact was left to be devoured by the Flood? The only reason his name was changed to "Ur-Didact" is because his imprint on Bornstellar was in full force, ultimately becoming the Didact himself.
  21. The Mantis' shields take much longer to recharge than a Spartan's. The Director posted a huge fact sheet pertaining the Mantis on the 'UNSC Mantis' thread.
  22. I feel the same exact way. As soon as I get sniped by the same person twice, I have a personal vendetta against that campin' sonuvabetch.
