Hey Spartan welcome to the forums, glad to have you!

I dont believe there will be a severe problem with this, but I do understand the concern. Then again you have to look at this in the best way possible. Even if there are some people who have figured out a way to use the BR/PP combo and make it work for them most of the time, it has been stopped in Halo's before. There are ways to beat it and piss off the people who use it thinking they will pick up easy kills. I wouldnt think too much of it.

I LOVE being a gamer, but the community...
Ac7 oN ImPuLs3 replied to A Fhaol Bhig's topic in General Discussion
I do believe that a lot of this harassment that yourself and the media like to point out is from the younger community. That is something that needs to be pointed out and made public to save the name of the more mature gaming community. When these problems are talked about, the media or whomever, group every person who plays a game online into one group. This is not fair at all, let me try to explain myself better. While a huge chunk of "online gamers" are ages 15 or younger, there is still a large amount of mature older "online gamers". Now, although in town a huge chunk of "Restaurants" are fast food restaurants, there is still a good amount of 5 star restaurants around. Just because we see Mick D's, Tbell, and BurgKing selling terrible nasty food, having unsanitary eating space and rude low class customer service. Does that make it right or fair to Antonio's Italian, West Side Cuisine or Big Bubba's Steakhouse to say that all "Restaurants" in town are terrible places with terrible food? But the media would never do that with the food business, or really anything outside of Online Gaming. They would state facts and give details and try to save the name of certain people in what ever the subjects field is. My point that I am trying to make is that when it comes to things like Online Gaming, the media or whomever will never find it important enough to give details and save names. Therefore its the unfortunate truth that all of "online gamers" will catch bad reps anytime there is an issue with an "online gamer". Now, as far as the whiners in most communities who like to do nothing but complain, those are the people that nobody should give any attention to. Unless of course they do make good point, because not all bad talk is a bad thing. Sometimes there are bad things that need to be pointed out. On the other hand when criticizing a subject, you cant just point out the bad, there does need to be some credit issued. That is what an intelligent open minded poster should do. The other posters who are whiners and dont have their intelligence to rely on, well they will only bash and cry and hate on the subject at hand because it is the easiest thing to do. I hope I had made some sense to everyone in this post. The moral of it all is that, Not everyone in one group is the same and they shouldnt be treated as such. Also that we shouldn't pay any attention to the viruses in communities, just ignore them and they will be no burden. -
This is by far the best thing that I have ever read! I fight with so many people about whether or not Professional Gaming is considered a sport, and I use the exact same points. It does not matter if the information comes from Wiki or the Oxford Dictionary about what the definition of sport is. The fact of the matter is that the Olympics defines sports SO MUCH GREATER than both Wiki and the Oxford Dictionary. With that being said, although the Olympics do not specifically recognize Professional Gaming as a "Sport", they do recognize both the GAME of Chess and Bridge as being sports. So is it really unfair to assume that one day eSports will be recognized by the Olympics, considering its massive growth over the past 5 years?

Absolutely.

It is nice to see how much love Halo is getting especially with the developer change. Many people including tons of CoD fan boys were put off when CoD changed developers.

Im very excited just to play in MM using the new points system. I have always been a great support player picking up assists very often, but I never felt like it was appreciated. With assists going towards your team points now, I am sure my work will be greatly appreciated!

I think that having this in matchmaking would be AMAZING! I would want them in my hands at all times!

I do think 3rd person is better for driving but I think that being in 1st person would give a whole new great experience to the game.

I never have been a fan of pistols other than the human pistol of course, but this looks pretty cool.

I love what 343 is doing, they really are putting their blueprint on this game. I am happy to see they are going at this without bring any traces of Bungie with them. -
This is a pretty unique idea. I LIKE IT! I would like to see it happen but I wouldnt like it to be a part of MM.

Agreed.

One game type that hasn't been around since HALO: Combat Evolved.

I think it can work -
Thankfully there is no bloom on the BR. As far as the button combos, well I personally wouldnt mind it. I did benefit from them in H2 but I can absolutely understand why other people may not be for it. If only they can limit the button combos to the MLG playlist

Sprint needs to be a toggle command if it's on the Left Stick...

I would like to think that 343 has mad the perfect ranking system but we all know nothing is perfect. I do have a lot of confidence in them and all anyone can do is hope for the best.

Here is one from each, except Reach! Blood Gultch (Halo CE) This map became my favorite almost instantly. I would spend hours on BG with friends everyday. I knew this map like the back of my hand! Lockout (Halo 2) I got into competitive Halo late in H2 but this quickly became my favorite as I grew into a more strategic player. The Pit (Halo 3) To me, this map is the very best for competitive gameplay. I have watched and played many 4v4 MLG games on this map and almost all of them, no matter the gametype, have been very exciting.

I think I like the ideas for all of these but what I am truly excited for is to see how a team can combine them with certain players to compliment each others playing styles!

This is truly a great idea. I would like the option in custom games and forge. Although I do have to say if 343 did choose to do this, I would hope it would only be on a few maps so that it wont get irritating too quickly.
