Seriously, I don't want to play Save One Bullet every time I play Infection. What if I want a vehicular game with Plasma Pistols and Grav Hammers? What if I want something as simple as making the players scavenge for their own weapons? They need to go and look at the count for Custom Games Played for Halo 3 and Reach and see just how many people they have alienated with the limited gametype customization options.

There are a lot of options missing from both Halo 3 and Reach. Still can't even begin to understand why 343i would strip so many customization options out of the game. Isn't it supposed to get bigger and better? Total step leap backwards.

I have also already run into a fair bit of disappointment with custom game settings. There were a lot of options removed. Normally that wouldn't be a problem because typically a developer will offer different options that perform the same function in a slightly different manner. They dropped the ball. They had two great games with huge custom game support, and instead of incorporating all they had and improving upon them, they gut it. There is simply no reason that we should have less options than Reach, and the fact that Halo 3 had more depth in the custom settings is a slap in the face to a rather large demographic.

True up to the last bit. Cortana is a special smart AI. Smart AI in the Halo universe are made by replicating then synaptic patterns of a human brain, destroying the brain in the process. Cortana was made from Dr Halsey's cloned brain, the first to be done in such a way. This has lead to unpredictable traits within Cortana as well.

The jammed is fine. A larger radius would be nice but isn't necessary. It is very useful in areas with vertical play, as you can activate Camo and then drop down on a very confused player's head. I didn't even know or consider the possibility that I would show up under the reticule. That is just plain stupid and explains a few of my deaths. That needs to go for sure.

I actually prefer the DMR being better in long range and the BR better in mid range. Plus if you can land solid headshots the BR is far more effective than anything else in mid range combat. I like the balance they have. And I prefer the Light Rifle anyhow. I just don't like the name. What does a rifled barrel help with a beam weapon?

Thank you all for the welcomes. I intended to be active before the game came out, but obviously failed at that. I wish I could claim the sig as my own work, but it was made for me by a guy on the Gearbox Software forums. And I don't know a lick of Gaelic, though I can do most of the pronunciations. Beautiful language. Full disclosure, I'm Irish in the sense that my ancestors built railroads in New England for pay that was damn near slavery.

Hey everybody, name's Irish (actually really pleased to have secured that name here). Been a forum rat for over a decade now, enjoying both member and staff roles. I love Halo, have since the first game and I am huge into the expanded universe as well, as I am sure many of you are as well. I'm a big fan of both customs and competitive gameplay as well, and I'm extremely excited to see how powerful the Forge and gameplay options are.
