  1. Linux Based OS For The TV and Living Room "As we’ve been working on bringing Steam to the living room, we’ve come to the conclusion that the environment best suited to delivering value to customers is an operating system built around Steam itself. SteamOS combines the rock-solid architecture of Linux with a gaming experience built for the big screen. It will be available soon as a free stand-alone operating system for living room machines." - Says Valve This will allow steam to have: Better Graphics Processing - "Game Developers" are already availing themselves to these performance perks "as they target SteamOS for their new releases" You can Stream games from you Windows or Mac system to a SteamOS machine. You will also be able to stream "Music, TV, and Movies" - Valve Says it's "working with many of the media services you know and love." No names yet but we can assume they want to compete with Roku/AppleTV. Plus "Family Sharing" - Announced a few weeks ago, Valve plans to let you have up to 10 friends (you choose) whom can each access your paid games and get their own achievements and their own save slots. On top of this, announcements are still to come, in the next few weeks, from Valve on even more plans for the future. Things such as: News regarding AAA titles coming natively to SteamOS in 2014. And, Gabe Newell promises STEAM BOX news next week!!! - At Linuxcon 2013, Newell stated that Valves next step will be to "release some work we've done on the hardware side." Newell said in March, that SteamBox Prototypes will be release in 2013. Check out more on this subject: Steam TimeTech CVG

  4. That's actually not an option. soooooo lol
  5. I was on the line to speak with an apple representative for like 30 minutes. I got to the point where the automated voice said there was 1 call ahead of me and then the phone just hung up....... What the heck, apple. :(

Doesn't matter if he does or not. Director is all knowledgeable.

  6. Hoya for sure. I technically hate all of them. but mainly because Spartan Ops...... was so fun.... lol *sarcasm* Anyways throughout the series he always seemed to be the most together and well rounded.
  7. The BR is not over powered. The DMR is still far superior in most competitive players eyes. The DMR has amazing range and can kill in less shots (pulls of the trigger) than a BR. The BR has been beefed up and those that are good with it are able to smoke DMR players but mostly at a mid range. I have multiple classes set up to prevent this. When I play on big map like Complex I use the DMR but when I am on a map like Haven, where it is very close quarters, I have a BR primary and an Assault Rifle Secondary. So I think that maybe you are just having an issue with which maps to use different weapons on. And the BR is not a 3 shot it is a 4 shot. And the accuracy is terrible compared to the DMR. I'm not saying that the experiences you've had are invalid though. I appreciate your opinion, but I think that it may have just been in certain cases and you got heated up about it. Maybe...
  8. Xbox One can read the HDMI signal from a PS4 and thus allow Microsoft's console to host Sony's, an executive has confirmed. Because of the Xbox One's HDMI-in port, users will be able to feed the PS4's HDMI cable into the rival system. The on-screen result would be a PS4 running within an Xbox One overlay. Microsoft executive Albert Panello confirmed that Xbox One users could theoretically multi-task between both consoles. "Any application can be snapped to a game... so if you wanted to be playing Ryse and Killzone at the same time, you could snap that," he said, as quoted by Gamespot. Killzone is a PlayStation-owned IP, with a new instalment in the series due for the PS4's launch. Panello's comments also imply that any games console outputting through an HDMI cable can be displayed on the Xbox One, from Xbox 360 to PS3. The Xbox executive, who was speaking to gathered journalists at the Tokyo Game Show, also warned users against vertically standing their Xbox Ones. How nice will it be to sit back, relax, and play both consoles without even thinking? Full articles at CVG

  10. Lol. Lots of odd comments in this thread. Like things about my muscly arms and partying. But none the less I guess this is the weird community that I signed up to share news to. Thanks for all the support everyone.
  11. Best watch out. I'm on Cyan Team now.

  12. I was wondering when this would come about. I, as sternus said, thought of director as a God when I first started on the site. But slowly I started to realize that this man had an incredible ego. Lulz but he has a reason to because he's so cool. Congrats director and have fun in legendary-hood!
  13. Been busy with work and really getting into Magic:The Gathering, so haven't posted much lately. But I'm always lurking. a..l..w..a..y..s..

I got back into it recently, and getting back in Warhammer 40k, and been doing D&D.

Oh the nerdiness in me is really showing.

  14. I think she died. I think there may be a chance to revive her, but we don't really know anything, tbh. But as far as H4 goes she died. Oh yes actually this is the first probable idea I think I've heard. She is alive inside the terminal that got destroyed at the end of H4. But the AI chip was drained. So Chief takes the chip to the ark to try and put her back in the chip. Something along those lines.
  15. My previous phone is broken... I usually don't upgrade but about 4 months ago my phone just decided all of the sudden that I couldn't use it for phone calls unless it is on speaker phone. So that could get quite awkward if I was in a public area talking about private things. lulz. and on top of that sometimes it will just hang up phone calls for me... So I'm in the middle of said loudly projected phone call and then mid sentence the person is no longer talking and I realize that I ended the call.... So I'm not trying to say that there aren't people out there that will upgrade for no reason, but I have actually been waiting to upgrade for a while because my phone is handicapped. xD
  16. Wait preorders start on 20th for 5S but when is it released?
  17. Microsoft has aired the first North American Xbox One television ad, to coincide with the start of the NFL football season. As you'd expect the ad is heavy on NFL and, as Microsoft has done throughout its promotional campaign, highlights the various entertainment features of the new console, including Skype and TV functionality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmD0vPOd5Rk The Xbox One release date was confirmed this week as November 22, 2013. The console will launch in 13 markets including North America, UK and Australia simultaneously. Speaking at a technology conference this week, Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi said Microsoft believes it will break even or even profit marginally from sales of Xbox One at launch. This differs from console launches in recent years, with firms usually taking a loss on early-life hardware sales with an eye to turning profits on software sales and services, and later on hardware following manufacturing cost reductions. They've made so many steps in the right direction and then they make the first commercial about football.... something people can watch without Xbox. Tell me what you think about the very first Xbox One Commercial. Get the full scoop at CVG

  19. Beautiful as always Drizzly. And I just peeled both of my eyes so I'll know when a playdate rolls around.
  20. Patiently awaiting what comes next in life. Applied for a job far away from where I live now. They offered me a job but not the one I want. Do I take it.... hm.

yep... It sucks. I have a job now but I was hoping for a better job and this one would be just barely better but I would have to move for it...

If it is just barely better, then no. Definitely not.

  21. Looks a lot better. Hug this van.... not literally. Hilarious. I noticed that you put the final episode up on your youtube, so what game are you gonna play next?
  22. Lol that is very true. Although, I will be getting it for the xbox one. I actually will admit that the PS4 has better specks and they never tried to bone us, but I just like the feel of an xbox a little bit more. I even grew up with PS but switched to Xbox and have liked it more ever since, especially due to some of their exclusive titles. So back on topic, Destiny may look better on PS4, but it is my destiny to play it on an xbox one. (lol I know that joke has been used like 4 times already, and yes I went there.)
  23. I totally forgot about this game. I use to play this all the time. Thanks for bringing this back to my attention.
  24. I actually just had a conversation about this with a friend last night. I was playing prototype (which if you've never played is very gory) and she said don't you see how senseless this is making you. So I paused the game looked over at her and tried to think of what to say. All I could think of was "I'm not becoming senseless." and the conversation kept going on and on, I ended up getting upset and walking away. As I thought about it this morning, I realized how much I don't believe it. I think that truly honestly she had never seen a violent video game before and she was only judging her response off of what she has heard before. So it seems that we have now come to a state of conditioning where if you were raised not playing video games and your parents or whoever told you that they were too violent you started to believe that. But if you took the time to sit down and play a game once and a while you would realize differently. It's just like back in the day when people said that rock and roll was a sin or whatever. People become violent for other reasons and then they have a disposition within themselves where then maybe rap, rock, horror films, or video games worsen the disposition it's not what causes the violence. I know this was lengthy and may not all be coherent. lol. When I get lengthy I get bad at writing. lol. But in my personal opinion, video games calm me down, make me less violent because I get the chance to take some anger out on a tv rather than a human. But I guess we are all different.
  25. The forerunners their tech is far beyond that of the UNSC and much more advanced than the Covenant. I mean the covenant has big ships and scarabs and such, but UNSC blows those up on the daily. Where as seen in Halo 4 it takes us the whole game to get one of their artifacts. Next question: I think it would be fun to do something a little less serious about halo such as "Which halo has the hottest cortana? - CE -H2 -H3" Something like that.
