Here's the full list of Covenant walkers
-
Similar to the 'vehicle units' thread, but for I gantry discussion. Personally, I'd like to see a more Starcraft-esque system of doing things. This would make all infantry as one single soldier, and you can form squads by combining groups of marines. The exception is Mgalekgolo which would come as a bonded pair. Marine Medic Sniper SPARTAN-II SPARTAN-IV ODST (Can be dropped from orbit) Engineer For the Covenant, a squad would have a designated leader; this leader could be upgraded to Chieftain/ Zealot/ Heavy. Alternatively, covenant could come in squads like HW1, and also e dropped from orbit in reentry pods. This would provide a nice contrast the UNSC. Unggoy Sangheili Jiralhanae Mgalekgolo Kig-Yar Yanme'e Swarm Knight Watcher Crawler (Group) Sentinel Enforcer Protectors

It's your own fault for buying multiplayer DLC nearly three years after a game's release for a game that was never that popular to begin with.

NO MORE BR AND DMR STARTS!!! THANK GOD!!!
BaconShelf replied to Lambert Gonzalez's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
I like the fact that I don't have to use a weapon I despise to do well. A weapon that is useful in nigh-on every combat situation is inherently flawed and is objectively unfair in the game.- 33 replies

What new vehicles do you want in halo 5?
BaconShelf replied to Darkshadow1's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
It makes perfect sense. People are still gonna' want to go on cruises, or have boats or whatever in the 26th century. You're still going to have trade between cities in the 26th century. So of course you're going to have boats. And we know there is a wet navy because we have seen the aircraft carriers and it being mentioned quite a few times. So, yeah. #bringbackthedoozy is a completely sound request. I want the kestrel in a main game more. If those aren't treads then I have a hat to eat. As the Covenant wouldn't use treads when they have antigravity. It's the equivalent of using a musket in modern warfare rather than a fully automatic assault rifle because it looks cool. -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMiiffLQcvE It's official. Thank you based 343.

Halo 2 Regret Every Time Crash "Still"
BaconShelf replied to BallBusterMcGee's topic in Halo 2 + Anniversary
Sounds like a local issue for one of your discs. I have never had a bug like this. -
You do know that and development is finished by now, right? The only thing that is happening from here on out is bug testing/ fixing and general polishing. Nothing is being added from this point in time.

Can i organise a Lan Party with around 30 People after Release?
BaconShelf replied to sG Sunrise's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
That's not a LAN. A LAN connection is using Ethernet cables to form a network. Otherwise, you may as well just use XBL and save yourself the hassle of moving gear. -

BaconShelf replied to sG Sunrise's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Multiplayer split has been dropped since the beta. There is no splitscreen support in Halo 5. Period. -
The game was originally designed to be a DLC for Halo 3- it was a side project made using te Halo 3 engine before development for Reach went into full swing. For what it is, it is bloody brilliant, an certainly in my top 3 Halo games.

The game is six years old, and 343 has no experience managing an RTS. I'm pretty sure robot entertainment was managing HW anyway...

In this week's canon fodder, we were presented a handy little image from SDCC with a list of media that will be tying into Halo 5, in some form or another. In this list, I thought I'd go into a bit more detail as to what it says and provide a brief summary of each. From here on out is spoiler territory, you have been warned. Halo: New Blood New Blood is set from the perspective of Buck in the postwar period, and a written account of his actions, all the way from joining the UNSC, several battles in the War (including a meeting with the as-of-then ODST Palmer) and the fates of his squad, Alpha-Nine, after the battle of Earth. Namely, Buck, Mickey and Romeo are inducted into the SPARTAN-IV program, with Mickey turning traitor, Rookie is KIA in fighting with insurrectionists and Dutch retires on Mars with his wife. Halo: Escalation Set mainly from the post-Spartan Ops period, Escalation has been instrumental in setting up the galaxy in te aftermath of Requeim's destruction. It also gives us our first meeting with Blue Team since Glasslands where they reunite with John to fight the Didact on Installation 03 (Issues 8, 9 and 10) as well as introduce Holly Tanaka in the ongoing story arc. Fall of Reach FOR is the adaptation of the novel, The Fall of Reach. It details the selection process for SII, the training they had to endure and of course, the battle of Reach itself. It is the best characterisation we have had of Blue Team ever, and sets up the characters quite nicely. Master Chief Collection Pretty obvious really, John's story since the battle of Installation 04 and the account of Buck's part in the Battle of Earth. Hunters in the Dark Newly released, HITD is the first appearance of Vale as a Sangheili linguistics expert, and a mediator in an expedition to the Ark in 2555, alongside some new Spartans and the return of Halo 3 Co-Op characters Usze and N'tho. Nightfall The first appearance of Locke in 2556. We get to see what happened to some remains of Installation 04, and some greater expansion on the Lekgolo species. Hunt The Truth An amazing introduction to the stakes of Halo 5, as well as a clear insight into how ONI is viewed by the civilian populace an how much civilians know. Alongside return of characters from other media like Ben, Petra, Andrew Del Rio, Franklin Mendez, Michael Sullivan and Ellie from Second Sunrise, First Strike/ Escalation, Halo 4/ Kilo-5/ Initiation, Fall of Reach/ Ghosts of Onyx, Forward Unto Dawn and Starry Night, respectively. Last Light As of now, unreleased. But follows the actions of Blue Team and team Katana following Glasslands and will likely give some more insight into what they have been up to since John's dissapearance. Altogether, this is 343i's recommended reading list, and all of it will likely tie heavily into Halo 5. In addition, I would recommend reading First Strike, Ghosts of Onyx, Glasslands and the Forerunner Saga for some more insight into some characters and events and such likely to be in Halo 5.

It was. It was on the mission Infinity, when you get the mantis. There's a few of them that come with some rocket launchers for co-OP players. Or speed running. Take your pick.

343 did release their own series of wallpapers a while back. You didn't need to go through the effort. Jesus, I remember that "5" in the second image from when the H5 logo was supposedly leaked following the announcement of the Reclaimer trilogy (Before Halo 4 even came out) Nostalgia man. I remember the halopedia article on Halo 4, when we didn't even know why the sticky detonator was. Good times.

Ah. When you level up on BF4 (I presume Hardline, I haven't played it outside the beta), you get a battlepacks. They contain 5 random items; XP boosts (25%,50%,100%,200%), paints for guns and attachments for weapons in loadouts. Additionally, when you get a service star for a weapon (You have got 100 kills with that weapon, every hundred kills) you get a weapon battlepack that gives five random attachments for said weapon. Obviously, Halo 5 isn't loadouts based so that removes attachments, but it still gives the paint jobs for guns in all modes and power weapons for the team in warzone.

Anybody want to see a halo reach :odst game?
BaconShelf replied to Miguell17's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
I would rather we just abandon reach entirely now. With the animated series with Halo 5, we have now covered the same events at least four separate times (TFoR, TFoR Graphic Novel, TFoR animated series and Halo: Rech) I would prefer that we move on to more interesting parts of the war and postwar conflicts like the ongoing Jiralhanae-Sangheili civil war. Anyway, what do you mean by the "odsts came out in halo reach" because I'm presuming you don't mean they announced they were gay. Because the ODST corps has been around for decades, if not centuries. Since the First Interplanetary War back in the 2100's.- 9 replies
