  4. Jeez... sorry if I caused so much anger about this. I saw the thread and just thought that I would mention something that myself and quite a few of my friends would have loved to have seen in Reach. Personnally, I wouldn't care to pay for such a DLC, since I would totally find it worth the money, but that's just me. I see what you mean, but honestly... how different would it be from a Multiplayer map pack? For those of you who bought either Noble, Defiant or Anniversary... you got the option to forge on these maps while others did not. It's not removing content from the actual game itself, it's just offering additional concepts which were conceived following the release of the game. I was just thinking that the Forge World we had seen in trailers was cool, but thought that it would be well worth my while to buy these other maps. I don't understand why it would be different from any map pack found in any other game. I didn't mean Forge-Exclusive maps - they would have competitive versions to them that could be played on matchmaking, I just thought it would be cool to have Wide-Open-Maps for forging that come with the full array of pieces with which to work with (like they started doing with Anniversarry) -- It would be ideal if you could play on these maps in Custom Games, even if you didn't have the DLC... but we can't be picky. Anyways, my point being - I would love a DLC that would probably go for around 800 microsoft points (like most Reach DLCs) that would come with these 3 or 4 maps. It would be awesome if it could be free - but I find that that would be unlikely. I'm just saying that I know quite a few people who would be willing to buy such a DLC, simply because we would love to extend our forging experience. **Also please remember, this is purely hypothetical, I'm sorry some of you think my idea is horrible.. but I don't exactly work for 343... so I don't really have a choice in this. I was just sharing my ideas...*
  5. Thanks dude, I did my best to make it look as close to the real thing... well the Skyrim real thing... As I could. Thanks for your feedback!
  6. Oh...sorry dude, didnt realise there were 3 on each side. That sounds like a fine number. I just saw one on each side from the images. My bad, I apologise, the map seems like it would be rather well balanced then. Great job!
  7. I agree with Flyingshoe ILR that this isn't a competitive map, but that does not take away from the fact that I really like it. I never knew that Covenant vehicles could fly over the shield doors like that. The simplistic concept, along with the plasma pistol idea would make for a fast-paced mini-game that would be really challenging, but also extremely fun. The only thing I could suggest would be more vehicles, so that more players could go back and forth with the craziness of the map idea. Anyways, very original concept!
  8. Hey, welcome to the forums. I hope you like your stay! PS: I thought your avatar pic was cool, so I gave you your first like
  9. Wow... election day is arriving soon and I still don't know who I'm going to support.... this is really suspenseful. Does anyone have a kind-of pre-poll that would indicate who is currently "in the lead"? I'm just a little curious.
  10. Hello Ryu... we meet again... WRONG! lolz Ryu? lololololol
  11. This was a wonderful idea. Not only does it do good for advertising each other's groups but it finally allows THFE fans a direct way to submit their maps to the group, instead of hoping that word-of-mouth would spread and allow for them to hear about our creations. Anyways, welcome THFE members!
  12. Cool image choice, congratz on the Profile Pic lol.
  13. Welcome to the forums, enjoy your stay!
  14. Welcome to the forums, I hope you enjoy your stay. Be sure to check out all the various threads, they offer a large array of topics to discuss with an even larger array of very interesting people!
  15. Welcome to the forums - I hope to see you on the great battlefield soon to be known as the Halo 4 War Games!
  16. I'm not sure if it will be included within the actually game or not... but I would love a Forge DLC. How could would it be to buy a DLC that would add, lets say, a Covenant-counter part to all the items in Forge. Perhaps they could have "Flood-style" buildings with bio-matter all over the walls. Also, on the same note, wouldn't it be cool to have additional maps for varied Forge environement. Imagine how cool it would be to have maps like 'Desert" - "Snowy Mountain-top" - "Ocean - [with large waves optional]" - "Volcanic" and more. I don't know about you other Forgerss, but this would be a MASSIVE highlight for me!
  17. Dude, that looks so cool. I love how you've built it high enough to remove most of the "natural" bumps, but kept it low enough to include the top of the Paradiso mountain along with some trees. You did a wonderful job with the "Tin Cups" to fake the green grass in certain areas and I love the height variations throughout the map. Also, you made a wonderful choice for camera placement - great view of the map overall!
  18. Yeah, it was pretty funny. I just hit 100 posts and was very proud of it. Only, I just need to ask, how long until we can choose our own title (like instead of "Drone Ultra" -> like how you have "Shadow Cat". I know this isn't the correct place to ask this, but I figured since you're now such a veteraned player (and you obviously know since you've done it yourself) if you could please educate me in the matter. Thanks Ryu!
  19. I actually don't know off the top of my head, but some of my friends who do all the research into these things have told me that this time around, it really isn't worth the addition money.
  20. I've been complimented on my Infection and Invasion maps, so I would say those would have to be my strengths in forging. Here's a small portfolio of what I've accomplished in each of these sectors. Infection Maps: "Skyrim: Fort Dawnguard" "Tanker" Invasion Maps: "LOTR: Minas Tirith" "[PB] Assassin's Creed"
  21. I'm a little busy at the moment, but if I have time before Halo 4 comes out, we can maybe co-op an infection map. I haven't really made many infection maps (and am currently working on one for a ForgeHub contest) but I'll give you a small portfolio of what I've done for infection maps: -Skyrim: Fort Dawnguard (Free Roam - Holdout Survival Infection) -Tanker (Holdout - Survival Infection) -[currently under production] (Linear - Survival Infection]
  22. Umm.... ok then lol. I'm kind of sad that no one has posted any maps here yet. If I have time, as friend and I were discussing making a race map. If we can - before Halo 4 comes out - we will take the time to share it here with all of you.
  23. The biggest thing that I would like is the ability to copy-paste either a single piece (as to not have to re-set the same piece type like 20 times...) or rather a large grouping of pieces (like for example... you make a statue and select each piece as a whole and can then paste it, thus speeding up the process significantly).
  24. Hey dude, we usually do map tests which we will later be featuring on youtube. When we need to, we got into random online lobbies to pick up players, but doing it with you guys would be a lot more fun. Private Message me if you're interested because once we start posting on the channel - we hope to make it a regular thing!
  25. A very common wall-piece substitute, which I believe was started by THFE... but don't take my word for it... was to use Brace large pieces. What you do, in most cases, is bury the burves end in the ground and have the long side vertical. You can choose which side you want inside and which you want outside (since they both offer a different design). Depending on whether your structure is against a rock background, you could put them horizontally - since the problem with doing that in any of other case is that the curved-end sticks out. Here's an example of how I implemented brace larges on my "Tanker" map to build the control room: You can see I also used walls, out of necessity, but they can change the layout of the map. Here, from the inside of the control room, you can see the opposing side (which offers a different design) This is a link to the full map if you want to see it: "Tanker"
