Welcome to the forums, I hope that you enjoy your stay!
  6. My question for today is: -Will you go check out my Dedicated Members' thread? Link
  7. Lol, thanks AD, I appreciate the welcome and the wishes for good luck. Thanks for moderating such a great forum! I know right? I just always seem to be able to formulate my ideas rather quickly, and never find myself at a loss for words, so I guess I just rocketed through it all... but it was really fun! Thanks Kayla! From what it seems, you'll be joining me as a Dedicated member soon enough! Thank you so much Choot 'em, I really appreciate your support and such kind words. Thanks you all so much for everything!
  8. Hello 343iCF, I'm here today to make my Dedicated Members thread, because I've finally reached the point where I have hit this wonderfully prestigious position. I've read quite a few other topic threads like this, where I've always though "man... I can't wait until I hit this" and now that I finally have, I can honestly say that I'm filled with joy. My time here has been great and the people overall have just been amazing. Today, on this occasion, I thought to take the time to quickly go over all the important stuff that I have gotten into while here, and give a few shout-outs to my fellow players. First of all, the fact that I just got my 500th post means a lot to me. It represents (atleast in my opinion) my own little mark that I've left on this forum and I've got to say that the journey's been great. As for my shout-outs, I guess I'm going to have to name a few players who were really cool to talk with here on the forums. First, I want to thank DoctorB77. He was the first member whom I really spoke to and got to have feedback on my posts and maps, which was something I appreciated. Next, I wanted to thank the Director, whom I had a lot of fun with in the "Ask the Director" thread - and yes, after being defeated repeatedly for a while, I finally managed to nab myself a "Vitamin P" award, for which I am very grateful. Then, I want to thank both TOMLIDS and PyschoDuck for speaking with me on the forum on a few occasions and for adding me on Live, where we've gotten the chance to play for a while, which was great! Before last, I'm going to thank Ironsignia, for making me a spectacular signature and being so nice about it! Last of all, I guess I'll thank all of the people who I added on my friends list and who have been supportive throughout my Forge Maps posts; Almighty Tallest Purple, Berb, COL0NEL SANDERS, Chewin3, Erco 'Zjadee, Gangus Khan III, Oakley HiDef, REMkings, SweepsP2K, TOMLDS, adamj004, cra****111, haloman 2 and sheesh1991. To do a quick follow-up on the mention of my Forge Maps, here's a list of all the links to these maps. (Please keep in mind, not all of them are posted on this forum - I only chose to share those that I think were the best). Please feel free to leave me a comment on any of them if you like the maps! Robius5991 Map List: -Skyrim: Fort Dawnguard -Tanker -LOTR: Minas Tirith -[PB] Assassin's Creed -Into the Sarlacc -Predatorial Grounds: Guatemala Lastly, I just wanted to let you all know that the Youtube channel that I have started with a few friends is now official "open"! We've been doing prep-work for a long time, but are finally posting our vids and hope to do so for a while. To start off we're going to be doing a Halo Reach Forge Maps Re-cap, which should include about 13 maps, so if you like what you see, please come over and subscribe to us to keep track with all of our new posts. (Each subscription really helps) In the future, we're going to be expanding our cast, and also expanding the amount of games we will be posting about (for example, on it's release, I will be posting Assassin's Creed 3 videos). [be sure to watch in 720p HD] Youtube Channel - OnlineKnights Here's our primary introduction video, and also our first forge map feature: Well, that should pretty much wrap everything up for me. For those of you who've seen me on the forums before, I imagine that you're not too surprised with my long posts, but for the others' who are checking me out for the first time, I apologise if I tend to overwrite, I just love sharing all of my thoughts! I look forward to seeing you all around the forums in the future, and hopefully, I will be able to secure my long-awaited title that I've had in mind. We'll just have to wait and see... See you all on the forums, -Robius5991
  9. Hey Ironsignia, it's me again. I was just wondering if you could maybe use the awesome signature you made me and change it into and avatar. Here's the request sheet. Also, I wanted to know if it would be usuable as a Youtube Avatar (and only if it would be ok with you if I used it there aswell). 1. Classification: [Avatar] 2: Format [static image -> JPEG?) 3. Size [Whatever you think works for an avatar on this site and would work on youtube (only if you're ok with it)] 4. Style: Keep the exact same thing as the sig you made me. 5. Primary Colours: As they are... 6. IMAGE 1 7. IMAGE 2 [none] 8. IMAGE 3 [none] 9. Background: As it is... 10. Writing: As it is... 11. Font: AS it is... 12. Extras: As it is... 13. Locations: First of all, since it's an avatar picture, all I really wanted was the knight that you had made, kind of at a close-up angle like my spartan is in my current avatar picture. You can size it and everything as you see fit, as long as it is centered and closed-up on the knight, without any blur. Thanks in advance Ironsignia and, if at all possible, should the size from this forum not work on youtube, and you're ok with me using it as a youtube avatar, could you re-size it also for that one as a separate picture? -Thanks in advance for whatever you can accomplish Ironsignia. I am still in awe for what you were able to set up for me as a signature and I am still extremely grateful. Thanks!

  12. Hello and welcome to the forums, I hope that you enjoy your stay! I'm sure you've seen the countdown meter until the Halo 4 release, so I think this will be a great place for you, if not only just for the countdown! Have fun!
  13. Lol, I seem to be getting quite a few offers to co-op maps in Halo 4. To be honest, if we were to co-op it, it wouldn't be right away, since I've already promised a few others to do some co-op forging, then I want to finish a few maps that are being thrown over from Reach, and then I would consider re-making this, and a few maps. I've actually been suggested by a few other players to remake this, just as you said, with the Promethean vision, and I really think it will be cool. Anyways, I'll think about it. I'm really happy you liked it, but to honest, I'm going to have to mess around with the new forge a bit before I know whether such a map undertaking will be possible in the new forge. We'll just have to wait and see.... Anyhow, thanks for your comment!
  14. Lol, tyvm Director. I'll try to come back with some more clever questions when I get the chance, but thank you so much for the award!
  15. Upon further research into the book, i found this quote on page 414: "Two days before, Fahad's men had come to the village with news of a reward offered to anyone who identified the man who had killed Fahad's son, Bayhas." (p.414) and then, in the next paragraph, I found this: "Even Fahad wouldn't dare send men into the village when it enjoyed the protection of the Assassins: He would have to ask the permission of the Master." (p.414) then afterwards -> "It seems the Master has given Fahad his blessing to come into the village." (p.415) -So, at this time, Abbas was still the leader of the Assassins, however, following the events which allowed Altair to return to power (trying not to spoil anything) Fahad arrived, under the impression that he would be allowed inside the city. Altair told him otherwise. For this reason, when Fahad learned that Altair was the killer, he mentions in this quote, how he is threatening to attack Masyaf, only because he had payed Abbas for the privelege, which Altair was now refusing him: "You intend to leave me? No archers to stop me? Knowing that I will return with a force to crush you?" (p.443) -> So, in conclusion. Fahad had the intention of entering the city of Masyaf, but did not threaten to attack it until after Altair had become it's master once more, since he was now being taken away the privilege that he had payed Abbas for (the privilege to search Masyaf for his son's killer). Therefore, that's the reason he came with seven men and not the whole army (which was back at his base). He intended to only search the city with these men to look for the killer, but once he knew he was not granted acccess, he threatened to return to his camp, gather his troops, and attack "Knowing that I will return with a force to crush you?" (p.443) -- Here's just an additional quote of how Altair says he might change his mind before he gets to his camp, where his army is placed: "I have a feeling that you will change your mind about attacking Masyaf by the time you have return to your camp." (p.443) So, Director, what do you think? Is this enough proof? I'm glad that you're willing to take my word for it, but I always prefer to give concrete proof when I can.
  16. Yeah, I did like the Elites back in Halo 2, but to be honest, the morph into the next games (mainly Halo 3 and Reach) really didn't bother me too much. At first I wasn't fond of the changes, but then I kind of grew to like them. Anyways, I was looking up these Elites and found this video. Kinda made me laugh, and since it's on topic I thought that I would share it:
  17. Jeez, I can't really think of any other major ideas. I love your Flood firefight idea though, that would be pretty epic. However, I thought I could elaborate on some of your ideas. Although these thoughts are probably impossible, it would be cool to have slightly differed flood forms available in Custom Game setups, so as to offer a slightly wider array of gameplay options to flood mode. Like you said, perhaps they could have certain flood forms with guns attached to their arms, or maybe even different armour abilities would equal different flood forms. I know that such concepts are probably unlikely to come to future Halo games, but I thought it might be a nice addition.
  18. Yeah, although there will be differing pieces for each map (or so I've been told) I worry that the size of the maps may lead to repetitive map constructions. Anyways, my bet is that the Impact map will be the best to forge on, no matter what pieces are available.
  19. For me, the "Assassin's Creed" series would go without saying, since it is my favourite, but, if you're ok with diving into vulagrity and crime, I would suggest Mafia 2. This game has my favourite (non-Assassin's Creed) story. The acting is awesome and the game is filled with epic references to pretty much every important Mafia movie out there. So, if you get a chance, pick this game up. It may be old, but it's age means nothing to me except the fact that it costs even less. Here's a trailer for it, might get you interested:
  20. Thank you GryffinGuy, this really makes a difference. What a wonderful map! Absolutely great job!
  21. Warning - potential spoilers for Assassin's Creed: Correct on all counts, except the first. (Please keep in mind that I did not remember the answer myself, so I looked in the book for a while and found the page, then I double checked on the internet before posting this reply.) Although your answer is technically correct - the Mongolians did threaten to attack Masyaf - this actually happened around 1257, if I remember my dates correctly. Altair re-gained control of his order in 1247, after killing Abbas. Then, two days later, the bandit Fahad arrived with seven of his soldiers on horseback. He threatened to attack Masyaf, as a means to avenge the death of his (Fahad's) son, Bayhas, whom Altair had killed with the aid of the merchant Mukhils. Altair was able to calm him down and settle an agreement with him, allowing him to see the irreperable damage that would be caused, should their forces clash. So, since question #1 was: "Upon the return of Master Altair Ibn-La'Ahad to Masyaf, following the final confrontation with Abbas, what Bandit threatened to attack Masyaf immediately after? (-> inserting quote for proof at the bottom of reply ->) the question's answer was Fahad. If I had just said "after he had taken control", your answer may have been more valid, but since a period of ten years had ellapsed between these scenarios, I think that it cannot be considered as "immediately". For further proof on the fact, you can check out the novel "Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade". I believe the information necessary for the answer is on page 441-444) or, you can check the Assassin's Creed wiki -> Fahad page (Sorry for all the proofing, but you've stumped me before, so I wanted to make sure everything was clear! )
  22. Hey Director, I thought this time i would ask you a few historical-fiction (I mean Assassin's Creed) questions: (This may include spoilers for Assassin's Creed so other users do not read this unless you want anything spoiled): #1: Upon the return of the Master Altair Ibn-La'Ahad to Masyaf, following the final confrontation with Abbas, what Bandit threatened to attack Masyaf immediately after? #2: On his deathbed, what were Tamir's last words? #3: In which country was Sibrand born? #4: Why is Dante Moro in the position of Marco Barbarigo's bodyguard? #5: Who elected Octavian de Valois to lead his forces into Italy? #6: For what reason did Shahkulu join Manuel Palaiologos? There, that should do for now. I'll check in later to see if you managed to get them!
  23. Yeah, it is my understanding that everything is returning to the Halo 3 non-bloom system. I believe I read somewhere that they are basing themselves off of the Halo 3 design, but come to think of it I may be mistaken. Once I have a little more time I will don additional research and come back if I find something that goes against my statement here.
  24. It's a shame that Invasion will no longer be a part of our matchmaking experience, but I can only hope 343 has something in mind that will allow us to ease the pain, that is losing the Elites from Halo...
